Now, what's coming ahead here on the Brendon show, we are going to cover Transformation Week Day 7. You'll hear a portion of that audio where Denise and I sat down to talk about how do you maintain commitment? You know, a lot of people walk into her exercise studios and worked out for a day or two or three or a week, but other people stayed for a week, a month, two, three years. Why is it sometimes we stick to our commitments and sometimes we don't? That's the topic of, of this transformation week day number seven. And right before we hop into the audio, Denise and I would love to give you guys a shout out that you made our high performance Planner a top 30 best selling book on Amazon now for who knows how many days. It's blown us away because remember, the reality is on Amazon, the high performance planner is listed in separate listings across all its versions, across all its colors, across, you know, the half year pack, the full year pack. And so if you took, if we had taken all those sales and had it on one listing, then that book would have been, you know, easily in the top three, five best selling books across Amazon, which is crazy considering this is a planner and this is something we really feel is more useful than almost anything out there in helping you stay focused and productive, helping you track your habits throughout the year. So if you have not got your High Performance Planner, just go on Amazon, type in High Performance Planner, get yours before they're gone. I did get a notice from the publisher that they've sold or, sorry, shipped like 20,000 more over to Amazon today. So hopefully you'll get your copy before they're gone. Also, the big thanks to those of you who made the Brendon Show a top 50 podcast. It's really been you all sharing what we're doing with Transformation Week. You sharing all these episodes, you downloading all of season four, which is the entire audiobook to my book, High Performance Habits. So make sure you scroll back and download all these episodes that say audiobook. So it's on your phone because we're about to delete those at the end of this month and I want you to have them on your phone. So please make sure you do that. Gosh, guys, I'm kind of rambling and scrambling today. It's the last day of Transformation Week and I just can't get over it. I'm so deeply thankful for the acceptance you've had for Denise, for the cheering on you've given us on our Instagram Live and our Facebook lives. You've given her so many just like positive affirmations and cheering us on and, and just saying so many kind things to her. It's really been a beautiful thing to see my wife receive that reception into this HVX community because, you know, it's hard. Could you imagine? I've been doing this for 12 years and now I'm like, hey, sit next to me on this video and start talking with me, you know? And honestly, many of you, she's just as good and obviously much more inspiring than I am. So I hope you're enjoying these sit downs with Anise in Transformation Week. If you would like more, make sure you go to Transformation so you can get registered for our upcoming productivity masterclass. Thanks, everybody, again for your support throughout this. Please use TransformationWeek HPXLife so that we can find you out on the socials. And with that, here's Denise and I sitting down talking about commitment. Hey, everybody, it's Brendan and Denise and welcome to the final OMG Day, Lucky seven of Transformation Week, y'.
All.
We're so excited that you've made it with us so far. If you got through all seven days, congratulations. Yes.
Celebrate.
Celebrate. If you're just getting here and you're like, what was this? What did I Miss. We spent seven days with this community talking about how to live the best quality of life you can in the next 12 months of your life. We're really talking about living that high performance experience. So we talked about day one, clarity. Then we went on to energy. Then we talked about self discipline and motivation. We talked about productivity and influence. And yesterday was just courage, which you heard a lot about. The amazing courage that Denise has had dealing with my craziness.
Adaptability.
But, you know, what we like to do on the last day is talk about commitment and how do you stay committed to the things that you've written down in the worksheets, to the things you decide along the way in Transformation Week, to the big decisions and goals that you have made for your life over the next 12 months. So we're going to share some ideas on commitment, and then we'll give you some tools to help you stay strong, confident, and focused on your path ahead.
When I think about commitment, I think one of the things is to be patient. I think it's a very challenging thing to do in today's day and age where everything is so instantaneous. Gratification is like that, and we start to expect that. And patience is. I mean, patience is a virtue for sure. And when you're patient with yourself, when things are uncomfortable, when things are challenging, patience for yourself just, okay, I will get through this. I will get through this. This will something. Either it'll turn out great, or I will learn something amazing from it that will impact my next experience. So patience, I think, is a really key thing. And when you're thinking about what you're taking on today and in the next 12 months, today, write down what do you need to be patient with and why?
I love that because I think what happens is we know we should be patient, but we don't anticipate patience, which is, for example, when we decided our big, courageous, bold, crazy thing in 2019 was moving here to Puerto Rico, we were like, okay, that's gonna be crazy. We just had to think in advance. We're like, okay, it's gonna take some patience to buy a car, you know, from away. We're gonna have to take some patience to, like, figure out, like, the bank account, how do we move, you know, this huge business and this huge brand and start over, and all these things that we had to, like, really invent. We knew we had to be patient both with the process and, like, with each other. Otherwise, we just bailed. Like, this is too hard. Because if you don't anticipate the struggles and decide to be patient through them in advance. Then when you're in the storm, all you want to do is out. You just like, you just want to bail. And I think people quit that. I think when you were at the exercise studio, too, you were always teaching women that, because there'd be these women who would. Someone would come in and they would stay and work out, and they'd be part of the community for weeks, months, years. Other people would come in, like, they come in once or twice, and they'd bail. What do you think was going on there? Why do people bail? Is it part of that, just patience, or is it what else?
I think part of it is patience and the willingness to be uncomfortable or try something new. And nobody's good at anything the first time that they do it. So sticking with something and being patient with yourself, knowing, okay, I will get better, this will come, I can move forward, is a huge component of that. And through that, not only just having the confidence or the ability to think, okay, I can be patient with myself, and I will kind of withstand the test of time, because I feel like there's something to learn here, something to grow here. I feel like I can improve myself or improve other people here is huge. I also saw people reaching out to other people in the community and learning. When people would take their first class, they would see all these people around them. And for me, too, and I thought, how did all of you get so strong and so good at this? This is hard. And I saw other people doing it, which gave me confidence that I could do it too. She's talking about the bar method. Yes. And then you can talk to other people, and, well, when did you start? And you start making these connections, and then it becomes easier to be patient, because you're not the only one that's being patient. Everyone around you has to have patience with themselves, too.
And when you're in a community of people who are like, we're in a community, we're gonna learn together, we're gonna grow together, we're gonna change our lives.
Together, we're gonna uplift each other.
Magic happens. You know, many of you didn't get to participate the whole Transformation Week, but those who did, they got to experience that together. And there's some part of, like, a community doing something together that's magical. So I hope many of you will join us in Transformation Week as it continues when we start Productivity Masterclass. Productivity Masterclass is our course on how do you develop the habits and the mindset and the Right. Project management. To be able to achieve your goals and your dreams faster than just writing a list down on the fridge. And you get all the recordings of Transformation Week when you sign up on this page. I think one thing that's really important for commitment is you need something to trigger the commitment. Like, for me, I've always taught, you know, put reminders in your phone that pop up as an alarm, or when you go to your computer, I have a little note card that always said, you know, who needs you on your A game. It's like you need little reminders all around. Like, stay the course. Fight for somebody. Know what your mission is. Like, this should be on your mirror, on your dashboard, in your wallet, or in your purse. Like, you should have little reminders that remind you to stay committed. Because it's so easy to give up. Like, I literally have, like, wristbands and shirts and swag that says, honor the struggle. Because that's part of that patience. But it's also about having respect and reverence for the fact that the struggle is there to make you better.
It's a process.
It's a process and respect it. Like, I look forward to. I anticipate the challenges, the difficulties. Like, when we move down there, it's like, this is gonna be hard.
Yes.
Yes.
And it's part of that expectation of knowing it's going to be hard that makes it more manageable to deal with.
Yeah. Because if you don't expect it to be hard, if you expect it to be easy and convenient and everyone's gonna love you, it's gonna be perfect. You're totally gonna bail. The first hint of struggle and challenge. So for me, it's like, trigger yourself to stay in the game. With little reminders that says, stick with this. With little reminders that says, honor the struggles. Little reminders that just, like, remind you of why. Maybe when you open up your screen to work or you go out that door, you just say, why? Why am I doing this? What do I really want? Staying connected to the end game, the vision, the light of the end of the tunnel is so huge.
Consistency is just staying the course, continuing to do the things that move you forward. And that practice of establishing a habit and making it also part of your identity comes with consistency. And then it becomes easier. The more you do it, the better you get at it, for sure.
I love that. It's like. And she talked about this earlier in Transformation week, just staying in the game and really just, like, consistently showing up. That needs to get more consistent about your work. Schedule. You know, sometimes you work, sometimes you don't. Sometimes you're all over the place. Like, it's really important, I think, having things on your calendar that you show up for on a consistent basis. Like, she's a morning person. She starts her day like, she has this thing, and I'm like, I suck at that. But as I get better at that, I become more of a high performer. Yeah.
I think when you also. When you show up, when you're going to go do something, show up and actually do it and do it well.
Don't go through the motions.
Exactly. Don't go through the motions.
It would drive her crazy when someone came in the bar Method. That's the exercise studio she used to own. She would, like, it would just drive her crazy when a teacher would go through the motions or another student would go through the motions. It's just like, get in the game. Like, be there fully. Wherever you show up, show up fully. Engage in it, feel it, sense it. Like, be there. That's huge. My last one is mentorship and coaching. Sometimes you need that community. Sometimes you need a mentor, Sometimes you need a coach. But having somebody specifically who you look up to, to, and you admire and stay the course with them. If you've enjoyed what we've done or any of my training before, join Productivity Masterclass. I'll mentor you through how to be more productive. That's what that class helps you do. You know, if you like any of my seminars, you get a free ticket with that. But I really feel like it's just having that mentor. Like, we've had mentors our entire lives. She had mentors in the bar Method. I've had mentors in every area of my business and brand, teaching, personal development and teaching psychology and coaching. Like, I just. If you don't have those persons, find that person and don't just casually, like, look at them once in a while. Read all their books, do all their courses, like, jump in, because mastery is there. That's why we're inviting you into Productivity Masterclass because, like, some of you want to go deep. Some of you are like, this has to be an amazing 12 months.
And the community out there. I think for those of you who have been in the chat role, have seen what a supportive and celebration and encouraging place this is, which is. It's amazing. So having that on your back in addition to all the mentoring and productivity that you're going to get to accomplish your goals is huge.
Yeah. If you care about your 2019, get signed up for Productivity Masterclass. Last reminder, when you click the button down below about Productivity Masterclass, please remember you get all the recordings of Transformation Week plus the worksheets and you can take them at any time at your own pace. You get lifetime access, plus you get the ability, and this is huge, to go through our habit training and our goals and prioritization training. For some of you, you're just not good with the calendar. You're not good at blocking out your dreams. You're always random, you're always stuck, you're always like, I'm not getting ahead at the speed I need to. It will help with that. And there's all these other habits that you've learned as we talk about through Transformation Week or you've read my book, high performance habits that can really help you become happier and higher performing. So it's like, yeah, you can get more done, but you can also get more done with greater well being, with greater joy, with greater fulfillment because you deserve to have an amazing next 12 months of your life. So let me give you all the tools, all the training for that. That's the last shout out for Productivity Masterclass. With that, what would you like to tell all the folks who joined us on Transformation Week?
Oh, my gosh. Well, congratulations for starting the year, showing up each day, participating, being engaging, taking notes. We've seen so many screenshots, so many questions, so much support for one another and thank you for graciously welcoming me. I was not expecting that warm, warm welcome. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you very much and just a huge applaud for everything that you guys are doing to help yourselves, to help your families, to help your mission and other people. I honor you and I hope you will join us for the next.
I couldn't say it any better. Shout out to the entire team who helped us make Transformation Week happen virtually as we were trying to put all this together. And most importantly, shout out to Denise, who I'm so proud of for helping really start HPX life and inspiring a new way of us having the high performance experience that's part of us moving to Puerto Rico. It's part of us doing things together. And it took a lot of courage on her part to jump on video with me and to be here with you guys. So I cheer you on, honey. You did a great job. For everyone else, yeah, for everyone else, congratulations. I get to call it today Transformation Week, my friends, complete. Sam.
