If your ambitions and the obligations you have on your plate don't overwhelm you a little bit, then you're just aiming too dang low. This is a week where you get to determine what you're going to focus on. This is a week where you get to say, these are the moves I'm going to make to improve my life and the lives for my family and those who I serve. This is a week that you get to win. I know you are excited about this week. This is a week where you get to affect change. This is a week where you get to determine what you're going to focus on. This is a week where you get to say, these are the moves I'm going to make to improve my life and the lives for my family and those who I serve. This is a week that you get to win. Look, I know that no matter what, already this morning, you've probably already got lots of things figured out to do. And by the time you're listening to this, you've got your to do list, you're probably running full bore and you're ready to crush this day. You might also be overwhelmed by that. And that's good Here. Striver, listen to me now. If your ambitions and the obligations you have on your plate don't overwhelm you a little bit, then you're just aiming too dang low. It's okay that you have goals, that you have a purpose, you have a mission, that you have dreams, that you don't know yet how to achieve that. Sometimes you're thinking, oh my gosh, is this going to work out well? Can I handle it? Will it work? That's okay. It's okay that you. Sometimes you get stressed, sometimes you're angry. That's not working out. It's okay that we don't have it all figured out, that emotions are difficult as we strive for great things. The path of greatness was never meant to be layered in comfort. We have to realize it's going to be hard. Don't bemoan that difficulty. Don't hate it. Don't struggle against it. Don't deny that it exists. Accept it just as much as you accept a good day. Accept it just as much as you have to accept yourself and other people's opinions and other people's agendas into your life. It's all part of it, isn't it? Right? Sometimes you got to make choices for the family. Sometimes you got to make choices for the team. Sometimes you got to make choices for other things. The trick my Friend is to realizing it's okay. Just take a deep breath in and realize it's actually all okay. Things will turn out well with your consistent everyday good intentions and efforts over time. You keep practicing those habits even when they don't seem like they're going to make the difference. But if they're towards positive ends, things turn out positive in the end. I want to let you realize that every Monday is a new opportunity to realize, oh, it's okay where I'm at. It's okay for you to be completely happy and engrossed in the moment and excited and grateful for everything you have and still still want tomorrow to even be better. You can be grateful, satisfied, appreciated, excited for this moment and still hope and desire in five years to be more, to achieve more, to give more. The trick is to make sure you're not on a never ending cycle of feeling inadequate, feeling like you don't have enough. The trick is to know that you are worthy now, you are adequate now, that you deserve love, abundance, joy here in this moment, even as you hope to build something great in the future. My personal development topic for you today is related to all this, the quest. We're all on a great quest in our lives and that quest is to achieve a higher level of personal freedom. What does that mean? Well, if you read the motivation manifesto, you know, personal freedom means the ability and the sense that we can be fully ourselves without the constraints of our internal fears or doubts or social pressures that make us be somebody else. And part of that quest, that search for personal freedom is also the ability to choose one's own way to do things that we've chosen to do that we feel align with the best of who we are and bring us joy, meaning, aliveness, fulfillment. We're on this quest of personal freedom. And on this quest of personal freedom, there's going to be weeks where guess what? On this quest, it's hard, that it's overwhelming, that it's scary, honor that it's just part of that great story in your life. It's that hero's journey that you were on this week. So you might think, I'm Brad, I'm not on Hero's journey. I just got a bunch of things to do. Oh, you have no idea. The ripple effect of all these little things you are doing. They are building up your character. They are building up how you feel, they're building up how you treat other people. They are building up a ripple effect that you will never ever know. The boundaries of everything, everything we go through on this quest that we were in is meant to forge something within us. Now, I don't like a lot of things that happened in my life. I'm sure you don't as well. But what I do know is those things were meant to forge something in me and I had to choose what that was. That gift of free will, that gift of the ability to define meaning, that unique human perspective of labeling, assigning meaning to things, choosing where to go from there. What a gift that we get to interpret the things that we face on our quest. And so this week, my friend, yes, there will be things on this quest that you don't like. You get to determine the meaning of that and you get to determine the next step. That's real freedom, the choice of the next step. So no matter what you're facing this week, it's okay. Realize that you get to define the meaning of it on this quest, that you get to decide what that next mountain is, that next step is, that next achievement is. And I just say to you on a Monday, allow ambition in. Allow. Even if you feel a little overwhelmed, that's okay. It doesn't mean you can't still have great vision and be marching towards it. It's okay. Your feet are muddy, your legs are tired, you're uncertain, you don't know if everyone else around you believes or not. You keep marching over on to your sense of personal freedom, to becoming who you truly are and to doing the things that truly bring you joy, aliveness, meaning, fulfillment. It's okay that you are working it out. It's okay that you are on your path. Write out what you're going to do this week. Not just the small things. I want one item on that plan today to be something that seems so ridiculous so far out there in your quest, so visionary or hopeful or optimistic or maybe even think, well, that's a stupid idea or dream. Go capture that today. Go in your plan. I always tell people if your plan and your goals looks like nothing but a to do list, you're not aiming high enough. There should always be something on that to do list that seems a little bit risky, a little bit crazy, a little bit, you know, out of your reach, a little bit like future oriented, something that you think, wow, I don't know if I can do that or not, but it sure spurs a little energy in me. A little optimism, little hope, even if a little bit of fear. It makes me think, you know what? That's what I want. Something bigger. Something bigger. This future that we're all on quest for this beautiful thing out there in the future that pulls us forward every day. Listen, that, that, that must be captured on a Monday. That must be captured. When you go into your plan, it's not just the to do list, not just the deadlines, not even just the Friday finishers. It's something on that plan that gets you excited. Out in the future. It might be that book. You're going to wr that business. You're going to start that movement, you're going to create that impact. You're going to have that thing you're going to create or build for your family in the future. Whatever it is, believe in it. Believe in it. You're on this great quest. It's going to direct you to your greatest potential and the fulfillment of remarkable things. Believe that you're on a quest. It's going to lead you to a great future every day. You have to believe that. You have to connect with that. You have to remember you're on a great journey to greatness. That's why you're a striver. You're striving for that next level of greatness and personal freedom. You're striving for that next level. And you know that every day you have an opportunity to make the choice, to take the action. Because every day is a great day to grow. Hey guys, it's Brandon. I'm jumping in here real quick. Just go to progressmode.com I'm so excited about this day because I know that this day, so many thousands of you strivers out there are going to knock off your to do lists. And there's that sense that when you finish these things today, you feel good, you feel relieved, you feel fulfilled, you feel a little sense of freedom and accomplishment. Even if there's still things you're going to have to do next week. Because guess what? It never stops. Once you get comfortable with the fact that there's always Going to be more things that you want to do, that you can do, that you're excited to do. You don't feel the, the restlessness or the sense of unworthiness or oh my gosh, everything's not perfect. You just go, hey, we're always in motion, right strivers? We're always in motion so we don't get overwhelmed that there's more next week. Because there's always going to be. When you got a big vision, you got a big dream, you want more abundance and joy and awesomeness for your future, guess what? Work. There's always going to be work. And so at some point you go, all right, then let me feel some wins along the way. Let me feel good about it along the way. Even when the week didn't go the way you wanted, you did a bajillion meetings, you did a bajillion emails, you had the kids running around all over the place. You're trying to figure this out and that out. You're trying to start that new dream. Oh my gosh, it was so much. Hey, you'll enter the weekend, even if you have some work to do, you'll enter next week, you'll have work to do. You enter next month, you'll still have work to do. It never stops. And either that paralyzes people and makes them upset or they realize, wow, I'm aligned with the motion of the universe. I'm always growing, there's always going to be something new. And I love the novelty and the adventure and the challenge of it all. I'm not going to bemoan that I have a never ending to do list. Because listen, you got a never ending to do list. And if you didn't get that in high school, let's accept that today that is a function of being a mature adult, that we have responsibilities. They don't go away, they add on, they get more complex. And people always hope for that moment of freedom when all of that goes away. But I can tell you I've got, I'm fortunate to have dozens and dozens of friends who had life changing financial outcomes. And all of a sudden they really didn't have to do anything. And maybe they made it a few weeks, few months, some even a year or two. But then the itch came back in that drive, came back in that ambition to do something, take something on and build something. Why? Because remember, there's four things that you want in your life, whether you are unconscious about it or not. We are all driven by the same human drives on top of our needs, right? Our needs are, well, gosh, I'd love to have safety and security and belonging. But when. And the comforts of life. But when we talk about drive, what do you really want? You want a sense of aliveness, you want a sense of connection. You want meaningful pursuits and you want to grow. And that middle part of it, growth, you know, I always draw that little framework out as a triangle. You've got aliveness, connection, meaningful pursuits. And in the middle is growth. And that growth imperative means there'll always be expansion, there'll always be things to do, there'll always be the need to try something new. That drive to accomplish something new, it doesn't go away. You climb one mountain, you get to the top, you love it, you observe it, you feel it, you sense it, you bring other people to the top and then you notice, hey, there's another mountain out there. And so either that becomes a never ending, you know, chase for achievement to fill ego, or that just becomes a never ending growth pattern that you enjoy, right? There's strivers and then there's achievers. I don't call you guys achievers, even though you are, because to me, an achiever is out for the achievement sense of it. A striver is somebody who's just like they're gonna strive before, after, around every achievement. Because a striver is less about just the achievement, the end goal, the finish, complete. The striver is about the journey. Always striving for that next level of being, always striving for that next level of relating, always striving for that next level of creating, always striving without though the deficiency or the concerns or the insecurities of unworthiness. Meaning it's a joyous journey for them, not a mandatory trudging through. I know a lot of achievers who burn out all the time. Most drivers don't burn out. It's a mental difference between I'm doing something that I find joyful, creative and fulfilling versus I need to get some more accolades, more paperwork checked off, or three letters behind my name, or that next apartment or that next house, or the next thing to make me feel accomplished and fulfilled. One a striver. It is all about that internal, what we call intrinsic motivations. A lot of achievers live forever trapped in externalities, external or extrinsic motivations. They're doing things for the achievement, not for the striving. One's about the end game, the other one's about the journey. That's why I call you guys strivers. That's How I know my audience. That's how I want to live my life. I want you to realize there's more next week, but don't be upset about it. Never be surprised if there's more work or complexity or chaos in an expanding universe. See, a lot of Eastern traditions teach that, that very thinking that life shouldn't be difficult is what causes suffering. Think about how deep that is. When we think there shouldn't be any more work, any more obligations, when we think no one should ever lie, cheat or steal, when we think everyone, everyone and everything should be perfect and lined up for us. That's where we become entitled, where we become brats, where we become people who really live beneath our full potential. That's hard to say. That requires a lot of responsibility. But I'm your high performance coach. I'm not the placater. I'm the person who. Who wants to empower the striver to realize what's important. I'm the person who wants you to tap into that sense of aliveness, connection, meaningful pursuits and growth and realize that never goes away. We're always working towards that. I'm one of, according to pretty much everybody in my network and my fans in my industry. Like, wow, Britain's always got all this energy. Doesn't mean I don't get tired. But aliveness, I'm always after that. I'm looking for in the minute, in the second, in the feeling, in the word, in the sentence. Connection. Man, I don't know if you feel it, but I'm not talking to some empty mic in this empty room by myself here. I feel like I'm there with you in your mind, in your house, in your world. I know you're striving, I know you're working hard. I know you care. I know that every day I wake up, I'm trying to do something meaningful. Listen, if one person listened to this audio today and it made a difference in their mindset, help them feel a little more relieved and a little more relaxed and a little more in flow and a little more understanding that all these responsibilities are okay and they don't go away. You just get better. Oh, that's a beautiful thing. That's meaningful to me. Always trying to grow and push. You guys have seen we're building over here. We're growing over here. And I don't bemoan the challenges, the struggles, the difficulties, and never ending to do lists. I'm like, yeah, baby, let's go, let's build. Strivers, don't bemoan it. Realize that today you can accomplish some things. Even if the small things check those things off, get those things done. Know that you are on your path. Know that you still have time. You'll still be growing. There'll still be things to do. Because every day is a great day to grow.
