You know, in your heart, in your soul, in your mind, in your body that you Want more energy. You want greater levels of energy to be a better mom. You want greater energy to be a better leader, to have greater sales, to run your business with more sanity and joy. There's no question that I know you, just like me and everybody else, you struggle to maintain the energy required not only just to be your best, but to really grow with the abundance of your company, of your brand, of the products of your life. And it is not easy. It is a challenge. This topic of energy, every time I talk about, there are. Some people are like, yeah, yeah, Brent, I am good on my energy. You know, I am motivated, I am driven. I am good. I don't need this conversation. I take all my products. I feel great. And then there are some people who feel like, you know what? I have been really stressed. I have had a lot of anxiety. I feel down too much. I feel like not only emotionally drained, I feel physically drained. I know there are many of you out there who you really do struggle to feel as good as you not only want to feel, but that, you know, you deserve to feel in this lifetime. And so to me, this topic of how do you generate energy isn't just academic. It is very personal because of I've had brain injuries in my past. I've had challenges in my past. I have my own physical routines I have to do to stay motivated and driven just like anybody else. But I am also here, really excited to share with you that there are proven ways you can increase your energy as it relates to your ability to perform better. So let's talk about five big ideas that can help you generate greater energy in your life. Number one, every time we talk about anything related to high performance, okay, I'm always going to ask you to be honest and to measure yourself. You can't build your business unless you're honest and you measure yourself. You can't improve your marriage unless you're honest and you measure yourself. You can't change the world unless you're honest and you measure how you're doing well, health, energy, vibrancy, both emotional, mental and physical energy, which is what we will talk about today. All three, the mental, emotional and physical energy. All of those require a level of honesty if we are going to improve them. So here is the honesty session. If you look at the last three months of your life, three months of your life, have you been generating the energy that is necessary to feel vibrant, to be a great mom, to be a great parent, to be a great business leader, to grow your business? Like, be honest in the last three months. Not last 10 years. I mean, the last 12 weeks. Be honest. The last three months. Have now. Noticed the thing I didn't say, did you have energy? Right? I asked, did you generate the energy that was necessary? Two different things. Think about that for a minute. So many of us, we're sitting around hoping to have the energy we need one day and you hear me talk about this as a recurring theme because your ability to be personally accountable, to take ownership, to put your hands back on the wheel of life instead of hoping that things happen for you to show up for yourself every day and to make the decisions and to enact the behaviors that will allow you to grow and live a better quality of life. This is the demand of high performance. It's conscientious, it's disciplined, it's effortful. But that's why you all are such an outstanding organization and why you're so incredible, right? Is because you're willing to make that effort. I say all the time, listen, never, never, never, never be surprised that when you knock on the door of opportunity that it's work. Who answers? You knock on the door of your dreams. Guess who answers? Work. Work. And so we got to work to honestly and consciously and disciplined generate the energy we need in life. Not hope one day to luck into joy, to luck into happiness, to luck into physical, mental, spiritual energy. We've got to learn to generate that energy on demand. And that's the hardest thing in the world to ask people. But that is exactly what I'm asking you. Over those last three months, I really want you to think about this. Over the last three months, have you generated the energy necessary to have the quality of life you want? Think about that. Have you generated the energy necessary to have the quality of life that you want? Now, that means if, you know, maybe even give yourself a score, maybe one is like, nope, Brendon, I haven't. No at all. I haven't even tried. Nothing. I'm dead. Brendon. I'm dead. Let's go one. You're dead. Okay, you're probably not that if you're watching this. Okay, but one would be real bad. 10 would be Brendan, I am absolutely on my A game here. I am conscious. I am disciplined. I'm showing up. I'm motivated to make my energy an important part of my life. So where are you? One dead. Ten. Vibrant. Because you're willingly doing it. Now be honest. Last three months, we got to start with honesty and high performance. All good habits start with honesty. We got to look at where we are at acknowledge it and ask, can we move? Can we make it better? So be honest is the first and important thing and measure it. So here's what I'm going to ask you to do from this day forward, if you have not already been doing this. Welcome to personal development. You're really going to like this. I want you to measure your energy every day, Literally every day. When you do your gratitude journal at night, you should also add a little bit of energy journal, right? How did you have the mental energy today, the physical energy today, the spiritual energy today, the emotional energy today? Did you literally generate it? Not did you luck into it? Did you willingly generate it? Because isn't it true there are plenty of times, I mean, people are good at this, they just don't know it. For example, last time you were wiped out. I bet there was some point in the last couple months when you were wiped out and you knew, like, oh, I better get up, I better work out so I have more energy, or I better get up and walk my butt to Starbucks, or I better walk over to the cabinet, get me some young living product, do something to, like, give me that energy and that boost. You know that you can't always have the energy that you need naturally or luckily. So you've got to learn to cultivate it on demand. We're going to talk about a couple of those ideas here. But what I want you to do, please listen, you should measure it. You should have an evening routine. Will you measure your day? And not so you feel bad about yourself, so that you are conscious, human and honest and faithful person. That's what matters. Did this day, did I try? Did I do my best? Did I show up? What did I learn? What am I grateful for? All of those things that so many people already do. With the gratitude journal, I'm like, listen, an extra 10 minutes of thinking about how you showed up mentally and emotionally and physically could alter your life. Because then this wonderful thing in the human mind that happens, it's called guilt. Now, no one likes when I say that, but I'm like, hey, that guilt can be a very motivating, good, beautiful thing just as much as passion and purpose. And here's what I mean by that. Like, of course, if you look at numbers for weeks and weeks and weeks and you notice that you're not mentally, emotionally, physically vibrant, enjoying the life, trying to take care of your health, trying to prioritize energy and creating it where it's needed, your brain will go, hey, dummy. Hey, please, hey, man, pay attention. You Were given a gift of energy and life and vitality here. Use it, cultivate it, care for it, unleash it, baby. Like your brain will go, this is not ok. We must change. And that is the importance of measuring things. But the other beautiful part about your brain is it rewards behavior. Dopamine, serotonin, vasopressin, bam. It hits off and you are like, oh, I did it today. I did show up for my energy and my health today. I did manage my mind, my thoughts, my emotions today, my food today, my health today. Good for me. And your brain goes, I like it, Mikey. And all of a sudden you start feeling better too. So sometimes the acknowledgement and the honesty says, not doing so good here, guys. Better change. And sometimes those little steps, those little momentums, those little things you record each day makes you feel great. And let me tell you what, if this just sounds conceptual for you, I want you to hear this. We studied the world's highest performing people. This means basically the most successful people in the world, the top 15%, would be identified traditionally as high performers. This means they were able to maintain success over the long term while still maintaining well being and positive relationships, right? Think about that. They didn't have to compromise their energy or their health to have long term success. They maintained wellbeing. In fact, high performers typically tend to work out five days per week. Now people say, oh my God, that sounds like a lot. Well, one of those days might just be a 45 minute walk around the block, man. It doesn't have to be crazy. It is just that they are conscientiously caring for their health for five days, really intelligently, that's all. And I know people say, oh gosh, I know I should do better in these areas, Brendan. So where should I start? I'm like, you already know where you're starting. You got to be honest, you are like, everyone's goes where people often say, I don't know where to start. And what that is, that is the greatest excuse to stay in their comfort. That's all it is. When people say I don't know where to start, they're lying. 9 out of 10 times. People are completely fundamentally liars. They'll lie right to your face. When it comes to I don't know where to start. No, you do. You just haven't decided to, you haven't committed to, you haven't, you know, you know how to take care of better care of your energy. Some of you already know, gosh, I should start going to bed a little early. You already Know that. Gosh, I shouldn't eat all of the bread basket when they put it down. You already know that. I shouldn't have ordered the double chocolate chip cheesecake after the six pina colada. You already know. Don't tell me you don't know where to start. Start. And if you don't have a reason to start, do it for your family. If you don't have a reason to start, do it for your business. If you don't have a reason to start, you better find one because it's time to prioritize your health in all my events. And I know I am speaking to the choir here, so I'm cheering you on though to do something new, a new behavior. The new behavior is recorded at the end of the day. Mental energy, emotional energy, physical energy. And for some of you, spiritual energy. Did you generate those today? And if you didn't, then tomorrow start. That's it. If all I could do is get you to measure your energy every day and be consciousness about it, we could change the world. Because I mean, tell me if you agree with this, shouldn't people be more responsible for the energy they are bringing into this world? I believe people should be way more responsible for the energy they are bringing into this world. And if you agree with that, then make sure that you're doing it. Make sure that you are doing it. So how do we start? Well, first daily measurement. Be honest, measure it and then show up tomorrow being more conscientious, more intentional. That will change the day. Number two, please leverage your mornings to start the day out right. I know most of you already have a morning routine. If you don't have a great morning routine, then make one. If you don't have one, you stick to start sticking to it. It can be really short. It doesn't have to be hours and hours of long of meditation and you know, perfection. It's just like do something. Make sure you include the simple things, mind, body, emotions and spiritual in some way or another. Just make sure you include that. Like for me, my mind is very simple. Where I will look at like 10 prompts I've written. Some of you guys have my book. It's called a High Performance Planner. The High Performance Planner is like a day agenda productivity tool. And I just have 10 questions in there. They're morning prompts. They're things that like help me. They're like what can I get excited about today? What might kind of trip me up or mess me up or stress me out and how would my highest self deal with that, who can I surprise today? Just a nice morning. Think of morning. Things like that will get you going. Maybe your morning thing involves prayer. That might be really powerful for you. Re anchoring into your purpose or your faith. Maybe your morning routine includes physical movement, which it should by the way, even it just means 10 minutes of yoga or a 10 minute walk around the block or a 10 minute walk to Starbucks. I don't care what it has to be. Move the body every morning. Do not wake up, get in the car, go to work and start working. Move first, you'll be sharper and you'll be on average double digit more productive if you move in the morning than if you just show up at work, no questions asked, study after study after study. Confirm. Ok. One thing I would love to encourage you to do as part of your morning routine though, which most people don't do and this is too bad. So listen to this. Because just like you probably aren't measuring your energy every day, I bet you're not doing this one. And that is so many people have their morning routine, things that power them up, right? Their connection with their faith or their morning smoothie or their morning energy shot or whatever they do. Here's one I'd love for you to add. A morning vocal energizer. We just call it Vocal power in the Morning. Here's what this means. If you are watching this and you have the power and the gift of voice, meaning you can speak. People always forget that one of the greatest powers we have in our life is the vocal power. Our voice. Our voice. And so many people go through. You know, if you work from home, right? How easy it is. Sometimes you don't talk to anybody but the cat. Sometimes you don't talk to nobody but the kids but, you know, or your spouse or you chat with a friend. But that is not leveraging the power of voice. Why do we love listening to Martin Luther King, right? Why do we love listening to a great speech from Michelle Obama? Like why do we love that? Why? Why do we love motivational speakers? Because it's connected with that energy of their voice. It empowers the human spirit. But you have it too. You just. Often you're so silent throughout the day or whispering throughout the day. You've never turned on your full power. So I'd love to give you this gift in the morning. All I want you to do from now on, every morning, find a passage that you can read that is inspiring to you. Maybe that passage is from one of your favorite books or your Favorite scriptures, right? Or a poetry book. But I want you to find something and you can change every morning, but I want you to read something out loud every single morning for at least two to four minutes. Okay? Up to. Just call it up to five minutes. I just want you to read something out loud. Bam. With your voice. And some people are like, well, I'll wake somebody up. Okay, tell you what, grab your book, grab a flashlight, go in that closet, shut the door, and like full power, read something that is inspiring to you. When you activate your voice in the morning, the universe hears you and that there's a power that comes through for you, right? And if you can't use voice, if you aren't blessed with voice or you've been damaged physically in a way, literally you can't use your voice, then your job is to mentally project that energy, Mentally project, like read and fill volumes of intention out into the world, right? That's just the same as some people when they pray, they kind of like, dear God, please help me make it through today. And other people say, dear Lord, energize my body and my mind and my heart and my spirit to serve with full capacity. Today isn't that different. Dear God, please let me survive versus dear Lord, help me energize and fulfill my purpose for you. Right? There's difference when you use voice and it's full intention, bam, you come alive. That will change your morning for the rest of your life. Don't wait until you're a motivational speaker one day. Motivate yourself, the audience of one, baby, you use your voice, read something inspiring every morning will change your life. Third big idea. 50 minute breaks. Every 50 minutes, I want you to take a break. Hey, this is the Brendan I like, dude. He's making my life easier. Every 50 minutes, I want you to take a break. See the largest study that's ever been done on productivity. People had an app on their phone and they followed literally millions of people and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of hours across all these test groups to see the most productive people, which they would measure in terms of their accomplishments and their goals throughout the day. With this particular app, the most productive people, who are also the most happy on average, took a break at exactly 52 minutes. Their average break was 52 minutes. That meant they got up, went to the water cooler, maybe they went to the bathroom, maybe hit the ground and did five push ups. Maybe they just stood, bounced in place, closed their eyes and took 10 deep breaths, which is what I do every 15 minutes. I never have ever sat in a chair for more than 50 minutes in the last decade. I just will not do it. It's like I literally have on my phone a 15 minute timer. Rule is, butt hits chair, timer goes off. Butt hits chair, timer starts. 50 minutes, bam, bam, bam. It goes off, bam. No matter what I'm doing, no matter how smart I am, 50 minutes, boom. I stand up and I'll usually bounce in place just closing my eyes. I'll take 10 full, full deep breaths. I mean full on, I mean full, deep breaths, activating myself. And then I'll close my eyes and I'll think, what is my intention for this next 15 minutes? And that little energizer several times throughout the day has changed the course of my life. It's allowed me, you know, I've written six books, shot 20 plus video courses online, you know, do literally hundreds of these types of things that we're doing right now all month long. I have the gift of that energy because I make sure I recharge it throughout the day. Now, you know, you should recharge throughout the day, but some of you, I mean, you don't take any time for yourself, but you could take one to three minutes every hour for yourself. You just gave 57 minutes to everybody else. Give yourself three minutes to recharge every 50 minutes. Just sit on your phone, just have your phone just go off every 50 minutes. Bzzz, bzz, bzz. And I mean, it will change your life. You'll be like, wow, I feel more intentional, I feel more present, I feel more energized. Because what you'll do is you'll stare at the computer or you'll still like this thing for hours and then your brain's wiped out. Your physical body hurts because you haven't moved. You sat in a bad position, you know, all slumped over. Now your back and your shoulders hurt and you're in a lot of pain. And there's no one, no one who can change that but you. You have to fundamentally care for yourself better. And that begins with recharging on the hour. I think you get it.
