Motivational Quotes: Mantras, Momentum, Taking Action
8 Aug 2019 · 9 min
In this special episode of the Brendon Show, Brendon Burchard compiles a series of 60‑second Instagram quote‑clips into a continuous motivational mash‑up. He explains the origin of the clips—daily short videos he posts on Instagram—and invites listeners to follow, screenshot, and share using the #brendonshow hashtag. Throughout the episode he delivers several core messages: (1) Disappointment signals that you’re attempting something bold; reframe it as a learning opportunity and keep moving forward. (2) Instead of discarding unsupportive people, build a new tribe that aligns with your ideas while still honoring existing relationships. (3) Daily mantras rooted in gratitude and a higher purpose set the tone for an extraordinary week. (4) Everyone experiences doubt; great people turn doubt into faith and take action, recognizing that most knowledge comes after you start. (5) Success begins with action, not exhaustive preparation; begin now to gain momentum. (6) He introduces the concept of the “chaos line,” warning against over‑commitment that erodes sanity and urging listeners to set limits and live on their own terms. The episode concludes with a promotion for his High Performance Mentoring program, encouraging listeners to join a monthly live coaching community.

Hey, my friends, it's Brendon Burchard. And welcome to a special episode of the Brendon show where we jump into some of the best of my motivational quotes. Hey, y', all, y' all been asking for this for a long time and we finally put it together for you. Every single day, I do a new 60 second audio sort of of my best quotes or of coaching that we put on Instagram. And I have just gotten such an outpouring of love for these. As you can see, each of them tends to get, you know, tens and tens of thousands or tens of tens of tens of thousands of views. So much love for these. And basically what I've done is I. If you haven't seen it, please follow me on Instagram. Brendon Burchard. And what I like to do is post an actual quote of mine that I've written from one of my six books or, you know, the thousands of blogs and articles that I've done. And what I like to do is just grab a little bit of a quote, maybe it's two to three sentences. And so I read the quote on Instagram and then I just go off on that quote for like 60 seconds. So literally just one minute of fire as much as I can pretty much every single day on Instagram that I created originally. And people just wanted like a roundup of those. So finally somebody actually DM me on Instagram and said, man, you should do a mashup of all these on your podcast. These are like friggin inspiring. They're insightful, they're motivational because they're some of the best of what I've written. And I think you'll really enjoy these. It's kind of a funny format because each of them was only 62nd. And we're stringing together a bunch of them from this week for you right here in what we're gonna call the motivational quotes episodes. I hope you'll really enjoy that. So without further ado, enjoy these 60 seconds of motivation for your day, my friend. If you really like these, make sure you're following me on Instagram. And also just do me a simple favor that I know you guys are liking these. Take a screenshot of wherever you're listening to this, post it up on your socials and use the Brendon show. That way I can see who's really engaging with these motivational quote sessions. And we'll be doing some giveaways this week and over the next couple weeks, so make sure you use a Hashtag the brendon show when you post about these motivational quotes, sessions with that. Let's go.
I love this one. If we are not disappointed from time to time, we are not attempting anything new or bold or significant. Some people say, oh, Brandon, I'm just so discouraged. I'm disheartened. I'm disappointed. I tried something, it didn't work out. They made fun of me. I got rejected. It was just, you know, I regret doing this. And they use that feeling of disappointment to stop. They use it as an excuse. Well, I'm just disappointed, so I guess I'll stop. It doesn't make any sense because listen, the death of disappointment comes from the mindset of learning. When you say instead of I'm disappointed, you say, what did I learn? What can I do next? What's the next right action of integrity? For me, it always involves continuing and moving on. So it's okay if you temporarily feel disappointed, reframe it into learning and get back in the game, my friend. You don't have to tear down to build up. It's okay if the people around you don't get it. They have their own path. You don't have to boot them from your life. You can just go build a new tribe that does support and understand and meets your crazy ideas with enthusiasm. This is so important because we live in the social media age where everyone says get rid of all the negativity in your life, get rid of all the doubters if they don't understand and support you and cheer you on perfectly in every single way and bow down to all of your hopes and dreams and oh, my God, then get rid of them because they're negative. Listen, sometimes those people who don't understand you, that's your family, your friends, the people who do work for you, who do you know, show up every day in your life and just booting everybody who isn't perfectly supportive of your perfectly new ideas is not the way to go about it. The way to go about it is to go build the tribe you need. Even if you stay with your spouse, your partner, your team, even if you're still allowing of others who don't understand because there is a tribe out there who will. So go build what you need. My morning mantra. Thank you, God, for this opportunity to serve today. Grant me the strength to focus this week to be mindful and present, to serve with excellence, to be a force of love. There it is. 17 years of a Monday morning mantra just fueled with gratitude and reverence for life, recognition of a Higher power, a willingness to. To ask for help, a readiness to focus, to serve, to try to live a life of excellence and a hope to be a force that spreads some positivity and love out there. Whatever you do, you got to have your own mantras in life that you repeat to yourself, that you command yourself, that you declare for yourself so that you can have an extraordinary week. Let's enjoy it, let's serve, let's spread some positivity, let's get it done. We are all plagued by doubt, but the great nevertheless find faith and begin. This is such an important concept because.
You know, we all see those pretty.
Perfect people out on Instagram. We think, oh my God, they're so confident. They must be perfect all the time and not have all the challenges and struggles that I have and all these doubts and uncertainties and fears, they must not have it. And I'm oh, we freak out without realizing. Everybody has doubt. Everybody faces the uncertainty. Everybody has that same challenge of that unknown tomorrow.
Will I get what I want?
Will they approve? Will this turn out well? All those doubts exist and it's not like one day perfectly, they're all gone forever. Yes, those fears, anxieties, concerns and doubts will come up over and over. But the great people face them and realize that's part of the journey, that's part of the struggle, and they honor that and they turn it into faith. They dig deep to believe and they get to work. Those who have won major life victories realize that all the resources to win are within and that most knowledge needed to succeed is acquired after action. These two principles are so important because most of us think, well, I have to prepare, prepare, prepare, and everything must be perfectly organized in my mind. I must know step one through step 1000 before I ever begin. But the reality is success begins after action has been taken. That you learn as you go. And if you can, trust that you learn as you go. Of course you will go now. So stop delaying on those dreams, stop hoping for the perfect day and begin now. Because it's only in beginning now do you learn faster, move faster, get more competence, get more confidence and get going with more momentum. And don't forget that everything you're gonna need along the way, so much of it is right there within your heart, within your spirit. It's that allowing of grace, that allowing of the magic to come through what you need is within. It's just about opening to it. The chaos line. Know how much is enough. Anticipate that chaos line when your ambitions, choices and number of yeses cross the line and ruin your sanity and enjoyment of life. Whoa, that's one worth rereading like five times. Because today everyone wants more, more, more. Higher achievement, higher achievement, higher achievement. I get it. I'm the high performance guy. But the true issue is that so many people are chasing so many things and accepting so many things and allowing so much to be piled on. They're expanding their realm of responsibilities without first expanding themselves and their ability to handle those responsibilities. They're allowing more and more people to pile on obligations to them without first saying, do I want this? Could somebody else do it? And why am I living to somebody else's agenda? You'd better know that chaos line because once it breaks, you start to break. So be aware, anticipate, and live your life on your terms.
