My greatest strategy of achievement is an unbelievable advance in asking for help earlier than others. Most people, they'll grind three years and ask for help. I show up and go, I'm dumb. What should I do? I don't know what to do, but I want this. I think it's important. I think it was given as a desire, mind, but I don't know what to do or I don't know how to do it. At your level, you know, I'm doing something, but it's not breaking through. So I had to get help. Most people wait so long to ask for help, and it's those years that go by that they're grinding and burning themselves out, that are stealing from their family, that are stealing from their sanity. They're stealing from their art, their joy, their creativity. Their art is okay, but if they had more time, it'd be magical, it'd be genius. It'd be creative and flowing. But they're doing things they didn't ask for help for. So I know that we all know this is high performers. But the problem with high performers is because you're so good and you can do everything, you tend to do everything when what you should be doing is the things that matter the most. And when you do the things that matter the most to you, that drives you, dream happens. It's just so different of a reality. And I don't. I'm not here to preach to anybody because I had to learn that along the way. I wish I'd asked or met Ethan years earlier or asked or met many of my team members years earlier, because for a long time I just thought I could do it. And it was. Many of you have been with me on my journey. You've been in those rooms that were smaller with a hundred people, 200 people, 300 people. Some of you, though, have been in the arenas with me now with 25,000 people and 30,000 people and selling out Bridgestone and selling out the Utah Jazz center and selling out the Super Dome. Some of you have been in those venues and go, holy, how'd he do it? I asked for help. I asked for help earlier than most of my peers. So I got earlier success than most of my peers. I wish I could say it was. I was smart, I was humble. I wish I could say I had a brilliant strategy. Other people said, this is a better strategy. Kid, why are you doing all this other stuff? And I know you all know this, but here's the test. Do yourself a favor.
Be honest.
Because progress requires truth. How often in the last six months, did you really ask for help? How often in the last six months did you open up the books or share the strategy to an expert or a friend or somebody who's another level and just go, hey, what, what do you think about this? Is this the right strategy? Is this the right mod? How often last six months? Some of you, a lot. But some of you been holding stuff in. I tend to ask every Tuesday, Every Tuesday, every Wednesday. I talk with mentors and friends. I go, hey, how do you do this? What would you do here? And they tell me and I go, oh, that's great. I'm gonna take that. I'm gonna make that happen. And once I get the answer, how many of you, Once you have the answer, you work so good. Yeah, that was musical. Once I got me the strategy, the right strategy, I'm going to work good. Like, who's a high performer? Who's going to go after in this room say, that's me. Yeah, that's us. We've done that together now. We've been together for these days. But never think that high performance is a solo act. Real high performance requires us together. We've got to activate our minds better. We've got to achieve things. Yes. Tomorrow we'll talk about a lot of people skills. But at the end of the day, oh, my gosh, does it require seeking others already doing at another level? Whatever that is for you? I don't know your answer but you need to seek others doing it at another level. Open up the books, ask the questions. Say, what's another better way here? Because you saw me in just one example. Like, oh, 96, when you double income. Who would like to double income? Anyone in the room. Like that. That ball goes my mind. And then you see a 10x strategy and you're like, oh, my gosh, that could be 10 times more. And it's the same amount of work, just a better outcome.
