I only eat to fuel or recover. I eat to fuel and recover. In other words, I don't have a keto diet or a paleo diet or a vegan diet. I don't have a type of diet. I have a performance diet. My diet isn't structured based on someone's coda or dogma or belief about health. My diet is built on the performance necessary for the day. Sometimes it's different if you're sitting at home watching Netflix all day. Different diet needed than if you're doing this. You can't say. You can't say that person needs keto or I need keto or paleo or whatever. And this is where people get jacked up. They don't understand this simple thing. You eat to fuel for performance, not to eat for type health people. Y' all hear what I'm saying? Health warriors. It will change everything. I know if I'm just hanging out that day. I eat very differently. Like, if you saw how much I have to eat here to do this, you'd be disgusted. I think I posted on my Instagram last night after my ice bath, I ate like a thousand tacos. I mean, I ate so much food last night, you'd be like, ugh. And it's all over my face and my. My shirt and all over the table. I mean, it looks like seven wild hogs just murdered up a taco stand, man. It's just messed up. This scrawny kid's gotta eat. And even, like, oh, my gosh. I even have to eat earlier.
Just few.
I have to put so many calories in because I do a marathon a day, every day. This is my fourth marathon right now because I start the day before most of you guys get here with our coaches. So I've been going for. This is four days for me. And so I got to eat so many calories. I used to do an event like this, and I didn't realize it was a big deal, but I had a world, like, probably the top two or three nutritionists on the planet who trains all the cyclists worldwide, like, at the.
Top, top, top levels.
And he spoke at my event, and he was like, holy crap, dude. That's unbelievable what you're doing up there. He's like, how do you maintain that? I'm going to tell him. So he's like, well, how much, you know, you eat? He's like, can I put the thing around your. I said, what? And he had the. I can't remember the heart rate belt thing. When all the gizmos to Tell me, you know, whatever. So he does all this stuff. He's like, holy cow, you are. That's a marathon a day. You got to take that seriously. I'm like, oh, yeah, I do. He's like, tell me how you're eating. And he's like, what? And what I didn't realize was I was losing £11 in A.
Then.
Some of you are like, I should do some events. But what you don't see is maybe this is your first show with me. But I do nine a year. So think about that. Nine times a year. I was losing 11 pounds on average. And doctors in the room will say, oh, my gosh, that is horrible for your heart. Your organs cannot take that level of variability. And especially for your frame, that's. You're gonna have a heart attack young. That's dangerous.
Brendan.
And so I had to learn. I'm like, oh, I have to eat for performance. Not based on how I like food or how I deal with food, or not to meet a type. I need to be able to do what I have to do. And so my encouragement. I'm not here to sell any diet to you. I'm here to sell the idea that you should eat for fuel and you should work with a professional health advisor or a nutritionist or your doctor to understand how you need to fuel and recover for performance of what you do, whatever that is for you. Everybody should do that. If you've never given yourself a gift as an adult.
As an adult.
Not if you're in a high school football player. I mean, as an adult, to work with a professional nutritionist, a licensed, qualified, amazing nutritionist who preferably works with athletes or high level executives. Do that. Because if you didn't do that yet, and you're an adult, you probably have three allergens you don't know about, meaning you have some kind of diet that you're actually allergic to. And that allergy is causing inflammation, and that inflammation is probably going to cause early onset of many different diseases, including what we know about brain sciences. Early onset of too much inflammation in the body, leading to greater plaques in the brain, leading to greater incidence of disorder in the brain, longer from things like dementia and Alzheimer's. If you don't have the right diet and we're causing all sorts of inflammation and gut problems in your body over and over and over and over again, it severely and negatively affects brain health, memory, and all of how you feel, especially in the later decades of your life. You got to be really attentive. So for those I Don't. I'm not here to recommend or sell you. And I'm here to tell you you got to work. If you're an adult and you haven't worked with a nutritionist, I'm here to tell you on average, you're probably poisoning yourself in three different ways. And I. Forgive me for that dramatic language, but you, on average have three allergens you don't know you have, and they're making you tired, fat and more prone to disease. And so everyone in this room to have traveled here, everyone in this room has two or three hundred bucks to go drop with a nutritionist to get all the work done to find out what should I eat, what am I allergic to, what are my panels suggesting? What genetically should I be doing and not be doing? Because if you don't know that, you are flying blind and no one should fly blind into their 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, you need to find what it means for you. I'm not here to sell a diet. I'm here to suggest you need to have a performance plan based on your size, your type, your genetics, what you do. It's so individualized. But the way I approach is, okay, I gotta eat to fuel and then I eat to recover, too. Because after extreme exercise or after a walk or after a lot of stress, you should definitely eat differently. Right. How many of you know after a day of stress, you go to comfort food? Yeah. See, comfort food is not good recovery food. And if you keep stressing and eating comfort food, you're piling on the stress for the next day. Your body didn't de stress. It didn't cleanse the stress. And so what's happening is your stress is actually piling on itself. You're making the burden gather and build. And I'm not here to make a health seminar. I'm here to say, do you think that comes into your relationships?
Yes or no?
Relationships start with each person and individual's health. And I'm so passionate about this.
