So much of your future depends on you acknowledging where you are now, but not letting that own you. Some of you don't own yourself yet. You don't own your day, you don't own your business, you don't own your life. You don't even own the relationships that you're in. Because it's easier to detach and be part of them, but not own it. So we have people barely entering their life. And what most people like to do now is play part of their life. Not own their life, have a hobby, business. Not own the business, give love in the relationship, but take it back if it's not perfect. They don't own the relationship. They're always looking for the exit, always looking for the part, always playing half ass. I know that's not most of you, but at points in our lives we can all own that. I've had parts of my life like that. Your next level of success is going to be your next level of ownership. It's being good with that past, but it's own in this moment, knowing where you're at. And that's just gonna take some of the basics, which many of you already know and can work through. Because the third thing I would advise that young man who asks Brendan, how do I be better than you? I'd say, well, the simplest thing is this truth. Common sense is not always common practice. They just don't. Common sense is not always common practice. And that's why so many people of great potential fail to ever touch the rim of that pot. They're not even doing the basics, but common sense. Think about how many things you know you should do that you don't do. How many Fridays is it gonna take where you get to that Friday where you go. I knew I was supposed to do that this week. Or how many ends of days do you need to get to go? I was supposed to send that email, I was supposed to make that call. I was supposed to hit that to do list. And you didn't do it. And it's not because any trust me. I'm not saying I'm perfect in any way. You will Lear learn more about my foibles than I should really do. But we gotta get you back doing the foundations. We gotta get the basic stuff. Your self talk, let's take that back. Let's make sure what's going on here, that script that's going on here, those conversations going on here. Take back your self talk. The power of your thoughts, you all know that. But common sense is not as common practice. We all know we should direct our own thoughts, we should direct our own minds. And so many days we're just reactive because doing that takes work. And what's easier, let's let our phone direct our mind. So when you're in a place and you don't know what to do when you're in uncertainty, the average person, when they're in uncertainty, what do they do? They don't break out a pen or a journal. They don't pick up the phone to call somebody. They grab their phone and start scrolling through. Because checking out of the difficulties of now is way easier than checking in to the architecture of your future. It's a whole lot easier to check out than it is to check in. And that's that common sense stuff. You gotta take back your thoughts, you gotta take back your days. So many of you give your days to so many things, like getting people. This sounds crazy to most people when you say it to them, but giving you 30% more productivity on the things that matter matter every week is so simple. It's so simple. It's removing 30% of the things that don't matter. Start clearing it out. One things you'll learn from the science here that we found that was really shocking to me. High performers spend 60% of their work week focusing on what you'll learn here, called.
