An MSP founder explains how to step back from daily operations by delegating decisions to your team. This makes the business more profitable, more valuable to buyers, and actually better for your staff.
I used to tell my team and other people my goal was always to make myself as absolutely irrelevant to the day-to-day operations of the business as possible.
Yep.
If you could do that, there's a whole lot of other things that come from that as far as empowering your team, pushing decision-making down in the organization, and a lot of other things. But if you could do that, it's, um, well, and it just makes your business more valuable as well because it's not dependent on you, right?
Part of the beauty of this business is that the things you need to do to make your life easier if you hold on to the business are pretty much the same things you need to do if you want to have a good exit. It's all the same path.
Yep. And then it just makes it more profitable and more fun, in my opinion, along the way if you actually do those things.
