I think a good marker of effective leadership is celebrating strength around you. Because number one, that means I have delegation points, it makes me better. But it also means I have a very healthy organization and egos are going to be lower because I'm setting the example that my idea isn't always right as the boss.
One of the sayings that I love is, if you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room. And I think that's— there's a syndrome among many MSP owners that a lot of the reason they have trouble growing is because they're not willing hire people that are smarter, or if they do, they're not willing to let go of stuff and give it to those people and say, hey, this is yours now, and I'm here to help you and support you, and you go be amazing, and I hope you surpass me. Because that's like the death of the ego, right? And nobody wants to— or not a lot of people are not willing to do that.
