Excerpt from a YouTube interview (The Unlimited Podcast) where Brian Ginsler demos ChatGPT with guest Jordan Jacobs. The hosts run live prompts (explain AI to a kindergartner; imitate Donald Trump) and read ChatGPT's outputs, then discuss implications for Google and which stakeholders should be worried about AI replacing or augmenting search and information services.

Foreign. I've got Chat GPT up on my screen. It's chat.OpenAI.com so Jordan, who's definitely the AI expert, has given us a description of AI. Let's just see what Chat GPT says. Explain AI to a kindergarten student in 50 words or last. And it's thinking and it writes right away. AI is like a robot brain that can think and learn like a person. It can do things like play games, answer questions and help people. Pretty darn good I guess.
Maybe take off the limitation of the kindergarten students, see if it does a better job.
Oh yeah, well for sure, AI is technology that can mimic human intelligence and perform tasks such as decision making, problem solving and learning. It can be used in areas like self driving cars, voice assistance and medical diagnosis. So how about explain AI in 50 words or less in the way Donald Trump would explain it. AI is a big deal, folks. It's like a computer brain that can think and learn just like us. We're using it to make America great again with smart cars and technology that will make life easier for everybody, believe me. I guess I could have typed into Google what is AI? And I would get some description. But I think that these nec, you know, the next steps, down and down, Google's not going to be, you know, creating an AI explanation like Donald Trump or like some other whatever, whatever the heck you want to do. ChatGPT can answer all my questions and answer them frankly how I want them to be answered. What does this mean for Google? Who should be afraid here? Who should be shaking in their boots?
Any company that has not already got an AI strategy, it should be on top of it yesterday. This is one of those things that if you wait, you will get wiped. I think as a business, right, a new, a new company will come and become the incumbent and displace you or when your competitors will adopt it faster. So this is not one of those technologies that I think, I mean, if you wait, you know, if you've played wait and see till now, you should stop and you should really get on it.
