Caffeine is a drug..

A personal account of quitting caffeine and discovering natural energy without it. The speaker shares why caffeine is a drug and what changed when they stopped using it.
Caffeine is a drug, just like alcohol is a drug. Just like cocaine is a drug, it's a drug. And a lot of entrepreneurs won't ever admit that because they're drinking a bunch of caffeine throughout their entire day to keep up their energy. The more you depend on caffeine, the more it actually taps into your energy and depletes it. Your body becomes dependent upon caffeine to function. And when you don't have that coffee, that second coffee, that third coffee of the day, or that monster energy drink, you're not going to be able to function and perform at your best. Your body's always going to be relying on caffeine. And that's why I quit caffeine a long time ago, back in college, because I just realized my body would always be anxious and jittery and stressed, and I would wake up groggy and tired, and if I didn't get that coffee in, I wouldn't be able to function. I realized I have more energy now. I'm way more energetic. I'm way more positive. I'm way more enthusiastic without caffeine. And a lot of people think I'm crazy when I tell them I don't drink caffeine, but it's because I knew that caffeine was a drug just like anything else. Just realize that you can have more energy without it. You just got to obviously train your body to not have it.
