Can You Fix Severe Pectus Excavatum With Exercise?

Brian Moncada discusses whether exercise can fix severe pectus excavatum, a chest wall deformity. He shares his personal experience with the condition and explains why exercise alone has limits, then covers surgery options and how to build muscle around it.
What's up, guys? My name is Brian Moncada and in this video I'm going to talk about if you can fix severe pectus excavatum, not mild pectus excavatum. Because if you have mild pectus excavatum, depending on how deep your chest is, you can probably actually fix it with muscle building in the gym, building some muscle and putting on some size. But if you're someone that has severe pectus activatum like me, where your chest is super indented and you're looking for a way to fix it, chances are the only way to really fix it is to get surgery. Something like the nuss procedure or the rapid procedure, if they even still do that one nowadays, or to use a vacuum bell. Vacuum bells have seen to have tremendous results in most guys that have mild pectus. But it could work for someone with you that does have severe pectus excavatum. I haven't personally used the vacuum bell. I'm someone who's kind of tried alternative methods, if you will. I've thankfully never had to experience any sort of major health issues with my pectus. But living with severe pectus excavator can be a major issue if you're someone that doesn't get it checked out early on. For me, I was able to climb this beautiful mountain today and just be so thankful that my body is super healthy even with pectus. And yeah, I wanted to make this video because I get a lot of questions from guys that follow me from watching my pectus videos about whether or not you can truly fix severe pectus like me with the gym. And here's an update. This is me with about, you know, freaking eight years of consistent working out. Obviously the first four years I was learning and trying everything and not really knowing too much. Had I, had I started with what I know now, the knowledge I know now, I'd probably be light years ahead. But we all live and we learn and to be honest, I have seen tremendous results in my body. I look the best I've ever looked in my entire life at 25 years old. And you are someone that can look the best for you in your life if you put in the work and follow a proven path from someone that has a similar body to you and see what they're doing to build their muscles, their chest, their body, their back, their muscles. I said muscles twice and ask them and see if they have any programs that will work for you. And so that's your answer. I look the best I've ever looked right now and it looks pretty much like I have pectus. So I haven't fixed it, but in my opinion, it's fixed. Man, life's amazing. It's fixed. Anyways, I hope you guys all having an amazing, amazing day wherever you are in this world and watching this video. If you want to watch more videos about pectus, I have one right here that you might want to check out and one down here. Both of them are pretty good. You probably like both. I recommend going with either. Anyways, that is, can you fix pectus if it's severe pectus without surgery or with the gym? And that's your answer. I'll catch you guys in this one or this one. Peace.
