Do YouTube Ads Hurt Your Channel’s Organic Growth?

YouTube ads don't hurt your channel's growth, despite what creators believe. The speaker breaks down why ads actually help, drawing on conversations with Google agency reps and real experience running both.
There's been a big myth that YouTube ads hurts your organic growth. No. I used to say to create a second channel specifically to overcome that objection. Because people would get on the phone with me, they would say, oh, I heard YouTube ads kills my organic growth. And I would say, yeah, easy. All we do is create a second channel. You can link both of them to your ads channel, create new marketing lists from both, and you just run ads from your second channel. You have both accounts linked to your ads account, and they say, okay, yeah, that makes sense. And what we found is that is just hurting you more than it's helping you. Because I knew from the beginning that wasn't true. But again, everyone believes it because they talk to these organic growth experts on YouTube and they say, oh, it's messing up your analytics. It's killing your reach. But what they're really saying is, I can't read the data properly because you're spending too much money on ads. So I don't know what videos are working now. The best. There's no way YouTube ads is going to hurt your organic channel. I've confirmed this. Not only running ads for people that have millions of subscribers, but also from Google agency reps that work@google.com headquarters and have been on calls with me for how much we spend and have literally told me there's no way that that'd be possible. It would only help your channel grow.
