This is a YouTube video titled "HOW I LEARNED HOW TO ADVERTISE ON YOUTUBE // BRIAN MONCADA" containing an English conversation from February 23, 2024. The excerpt features Brian Moncada discussing his experience learning advertising skills from a marketing expert, describing how he gained practical knowledge by observing and working closely with a master advertiser who tested new ads weekly.
Did you learn all of that yourself and then hire people and train them? Yeah, right.
I got the unfair advantage of learning from someone who had to be so good at advertising that he had to take the average housewife who's walking across the living room and their TVs playing in the background and then get them to stop what they're doing, whether they're with their kids or they're cooking dinner, or they're doing a million different things at the house at once, pick up the phone and call the TV ad to order a book and learn more about this specific offer. So that skill was passed down to me because I got to work with him for three years. I saw him film ads day in and day out. We tested one new ad every single week for just one offer. I had the unfair advantage of learning from someone who's already a master at marketing, who could just ask me to tell him what the hook is and who he's talking to and when I would feed him that he would just film a banger and it would always work.
