This is a YouTube video titled "How me and Sam Ovens Launched WeTube" containing a monologue or single-speaker explanation about the strategic launch process of Wetube, focusing on validating the product with an existing email list before public release. The content was created in May 2024 and does not include a conversation with multiple speakers or Brian Moncada.
The way we launched Wetube was very strategic. This is why Sam Oven is the goat, because he told us, we gotta hedge our bets here. What's the easiest thing we can do with the least amount of exposure or risk possible? So when we launched Wetube, we didn't launch it publicly first. He launched it to his email list of however many subscribers that he had. He said, here's what I'm thinking about doing. Would you be interested in this? Immediately we filled up an RSVP form, an application of hundreds of applications of people that would be interested in Wetube. So he validated the offer to his existing audience. Would you want this? They said yes. In droves of people. Right? Once he validated it, then we went ahead and, you know, created the VSL based off the feedback he got from it. Then once the VSL was live and he sent it to his list and it got booked calls, we then publicly posted it on YouTube. It didn't go to YouTube until after he validated it internally to his list or his existing customers. In this case, for most of you, it'd probably just be your social media audiences.
