Brian Moncada says treat entry-level jobs as skill-building stepping stones, not dead ends. A positive attitude and deliberate practice in work you dislike now gets you to the job you actually want.
If you work at Starbucks, McDonald's or grocery store and you don't like what you do, you're not supposed to. It's a starting job for beginners when they're just getting started in the marketplace. If that's the end goal for your life, then congratulations. You're literally going to hate the rest of your life. But if you're using it as a vehicle to get started and learn some skills and then use those skills to get better jobs, that's how you actually get the job you actually want. Learn to actually get good at your current job, even if you hate it because this is the starting point of your life, get good at it. At least bring a positive attitude to the job and then use those those skills you use in that job to get a better job in the future. And that's how you don't have to work at McDonald's, Starbucks, or the grocery store anymore.
