A professional explains how to spot when a client relationship is deteriorating. The key sign: you're only talking to them when delivering results, not staying in regular contact to check in and build trust.
You wouldn't be able to enjoy a round table dinner with the clients that you work with. You're probably not doing enough to help them get results. Now here's what I mean by that. A lot of us sign a client, but then we forget about them because we're always focused on the next client. That's a big problem because most of the clients that pay us want to work with us, right? Otherwise they wouldn't have paid us. But we forget that they're paying us for results and ultimately for the relationship too. Because to get results and keep clients, it's not just about the results all the time, but it's also about the relationship. And if your relationship is suffering with your clients because you're not communicating enough with them, you're not checking in with them, you're not asking them just simply how their life is going, and you are now expected to go meet up with them at a roundtable dinner and you're uncomfortable about it, that's a sign that you're not doing a good job from your client experience and you should fix that immediately or work with better clients. But it's probably the first.
