This is a YouTube video titled "I love these awesome gifts, Don Draper is HUGE part of my story." It features a monologue by a single speaker reflecting on a gift received—a Don Draper pop figure—and how the TV character inspired the speaker to start their own company, describing the influence of the show Mad Men on their career path. The content is a personal narrative without multiple speakers.
This was actually given to me by a friend on my 29th birthday last year. It's a pop character of Don Draper. I don't really know what pop means exactly, but it's basically an action figure for TV show characters. And the reason why this is so special to me is because I started my company after I first watched this TV show, Mad Men. Don Draper was the guy that I looked at in the TV show, and I was like, who is that guy? What does he do? And how can I be just like him? I saw him in the TV show go to his dresser drawer in his office in beautiful Manhattan, New York City, back in the 50s, when it wasn't a total crap hole like it is today. And he opened his dresser drawers in his office and pulled out a stack of neatly pressed folded, white button down, collared shirts and immediately changed out in front of a meeting, poured himself a nice glass of whiskey, and then drank it before going to his next advertising meeting. And at that moment, I was shocked. I was like, I want to do what he does. And five years later, I do exactly what he does.
