This is a YouTube video titled "It might sound simple, but wearing your brand is an easy way to market yourself everywhere you go!" featuring Brian Moncada sharing marketing advice on building a loyal community and personal brand through merchandise promotion, recorded in November 2024.
One of the easiest marketing hacks I learned from the Nelk Boys and applied to my own brand and company was by creating my own merch. If you see I'm wearing my company logo each and every time I basically make a video. Now, the Nelk Boys created a cult like following, a community of people who are die hard fans and buy pretty much everything that they ever sell. And so the reason why they were able to build that, one of the reasons at least, is because they have merchandise and they wear it every single video they ever produce on their YouTube channels. They have the Nelk Boys hats, they have the Happy dad hats. They have Happy Dad. Every time they're doing a podcast, they're always promoting it. They're great at promoting, just like Conor McGregor. These guys are master promoters. And if you want to be someone who's not just growing your own personal brand, but growing your company brand and a brand that other people can get behind and support at scale, you got to create merchandise. You got to be wearing it and showing it each and every time you produce any type of content, and then you'll create loyal fans and following and a community of people who truly support you.
