Brian Moncada argues that strong client relationships matter as much as business results. He says the combination creates memorable experiences that drive loyalty and referrals, which is central to his strategy as a business owner.
The key to having raving fans and clients that actually convert into your best salesman is to create a phenomenal result for their business and combine that with a amazing relationship. Both of those things combined allows you to create a memorable experience, one that that client, that customer for your business will remember forever and eventually start promoting to their network and referring people to your business. But most people, including myself, when I first started my business, when was only focused on the results. So how do you do that? Right? You want to make sure that you're playing offense, not defense. You want to make sure that you're looking for ways to add value to their business more than just the way that they've paid you and over deliver for them. So much so that they actually want to continue working with you. Okay. But if your relationship sucks and the results suck, they're never going to stay with you and they're probably going to hate working with you. So you got to have both. You can't make up for the relationship with just results because they're eventually going to fire you and work with somebody else who does care about the relationship more than you.
