Rich Piana's 30 Pounds in 3 Months Challenge NATURAL (Pectus Excavatum)

Brian Moncada, an Arizona State senior, attempts to gain 30 pounds of muscle naturally in three months while managing pectus excavatum. The video documents his starting stats and the challenge ahead as he works toward this aggressive transformation goal.
What is up, guys? My name is Brian Moncada. I'm a current senior at Arizona State University. And starting this January, I will be taking on Rich Piana's 30 pounds of muscle in three months, all naturally. The reason I want to be taking on this challenge is because all my life I've grown up with a condition called pectus excavatum. It's basically where you have an ice cream scoop taken right out of your chest and it goes in can lead to a lot of self esteem issues. Growing up, I hated taking my shirt off. I avoided pool parties like the plague. And it really takes a toll on your body. And, you know, doing this challenge wants to help me to, you know, grow my body physically and to prove to others out there that they can do it too, just like I can. And no matter what your genetics are, you can put on muscle as long as you're putting in the calories and, you know, putting in the work as well. So that's the reason why I'm doing this. A little history about myself I've been working out consistent consistently with proper nutrition, give or take, for about a year and a half now. Started tracking calories and macros the summer of 2014. Going into my junior year, I weighed 144 back then, and I bulked all the way up to 170lbs during this past summer. Now, all of that was not clean. You know, I had a lot of fat on me due to a lot of nights out drinking, a lot of nights out eating fast food the next day. And well, you guys know how that goes if you're in college. So the reason I'm doing this challenge, though, is because I want to completely get rid of that mindset. I want to dedicate all my time, my effort, my energy and my money into bettering myself. That way I can help you out there as well to prove to you guys that this is possible. And the reason I'm doing naturally, obviously, I've never taken any peds or anything like that. Even with pectus Excavator, I'm pretty sure if I took steroids or anything, my fucking heart would explode. Explode. So that's not even an option. But, you know, I haven't seen really any videos out there of people even trying to attempt this naturally. And I want to be the first, you know, for those out there to show them that we can do it and follow my progression along the way. And, yeah, you know, that's kind of how it's gonna go. So as I said before, I bulked up to 170lbs at the end of this past summer. Like I said, it wasn't all great. And, you know, since this past summer, this whole fall semester, I've been not tracking anything. No calories, no macros, not my food, what I've been eating. You know, I've really been inconsistent with the gym as well. So right now, currently on this day, I weigh 157 pounds. I am 21 years old, and I am about 58 in height. So, you know, 157 on a good day, give or take of the amount of water I take in, I could go up to 160. Or, you know, on average, I weigh 157 pounds. And. And my current physique right now, I'll go ahead and throw the photos of what I look like right now on screen. I'm skinny as hell. I know that. I tell myself that every single day. I'm not where I want to be, so don't even worry, guys. I'm not saying I'm big by any means, but by the end of this transformation, I hope to be, you know, a little bit heavier, obviously, a little bit more defined, a little bit more muscular, and I hope the transformation is going to be epic. I hope you guys are excited, because I am. And, you know, the before. Before and after is going to be insane. So follow me on this journey. I hope you guys subscribe and follow my Instagram and let's get it. Wait, I. That one up. Sorry, I just keep going a brief. A brief hips and I weigh our. All right, hold on. Is it noticeable while I'm talking right now? Yeah, that sound when they land, want to do for myself. And I'll just go myself, but yeah, I'll just go myself, too. Five minutes, bro. Just five minutes. Come on now.
