A holistic health coach warns that steam rooms expose you to inhaled chemicals that can harm your health more than help it. Dry saunas are recommended as a safer alternative for similar benefits.
I actually had no clue that steam rooms are actually harming you more than they're helping you. You see, a lot of people use steam rooms in the gym, including someone like me. Before I knew that they were actually killing you. I got a good tip from my friend Blake Bowman, who's a holistic health coach, and he told me, dude, never use the steam room. Why? Because the steam that comes out from the vents and from the floors or from the roof and that actually produces the vapor that you're inhaling when you're in the steam room to obviously produce the mist. And obviously sweat is actually coming from the sewer, where they're actually pulling the water. And what does the sewer have? It has all these chemicals, things that aren't filtered, and you're inhaling those chemicals, and some of those chemicals can be chlorine. And he told me that they used chlorine when the Nazis were trying to take over the world and killing everybody, gassing everybody out on the battlefield with chlorine. And you're inhaling that when you use the steam room. Instead, use a dry sauna. The dry sauna is something that actually is just dry, hot, and actually gets a real good sweat and is actually super beneficial for you, increases longevity, promotes testosterone, and more importantly, helps your heart work better.
