A speaker explains how synthetic fibers in workout clothes may lower testosterone and recommends switching to natural fabrics like cotton, linen, hemp, or silk instead.
Most people are eating a credit card every single week and they don't even know it. Sounds kind of crazy, but it's true. You see every single day when you wear brands like Gymshark or Lululemon or Under Armour, even Nike, all of those brands make workout gear. And that workout gear that they make, the shirts, the polyester, the nylon, the spandex, all of those clothes you're putting on your body are made up of what's called synthetic fiber, basically sewed together. And you can look this up online for yourself and do the research. But what happens over time is that lowers your testosterone, especially if you're a man. Think about it. Do you want to wear a bunch of, you know, plastic water bottles on your skin all day long? Probably not, right? So instead, what you should do is look for workout gear and clothes that are made up of 100% cotton. And I shop at Zara, Suitsupply, Polo, Ralph Lauren, and any brand that only makes their clothes out of cotton, linen, hemp or silk. Those are the finest materials that you can wear and you should be wearing on your body. So they're going to be good for your body long term and not lower your testosterone.
