This is a YouTube video titled "The best benefit of journaling #shorts" containing a personal monologue recorded on April 15, 2023. The speaker reflects on their experience with journaling since age 18, discussing how reviewing old journals reveals personal growth in mindset, goals, and awareness. The content focuses on the benefits of journaling as a form of meditation, self-reflection, and creativity, emphasizing the need for more consistent journaling practice.
I have eight journals since I was 18 years old. Just the impact of being able to read through those old journals back when I was that young and see where I was at in that life. Like, my mindset, my awareness, level of money, relationships, family, all of that. And then seeing, like, what my goals were at that time. It's been humbling because at that point, when I look back on it now, it's like, you weren't even thinking big enough, bro, but you were looking back on all of that. I'm still not as consistent as I need to be with my journal. Knowing that and just even talking about it right now is really helping me remember. You're not really journaling other than the sake of just being able to document how you feel during that day and really just event. Because for me, honestly, this is a type of meditation right now. Speaking, sharing, talking to you about what we're doing. That's sort of a prayer meditation or journaling for me, which is, I think, going back to the writing thing in the morning, the deep work, that's kind of the same thing. My creativity or my ideas for the day come from, like, what I want to share to the world today. Right. So, yeah, I need to be more disciplined with my journal.
