The ULTIMATE YouTube Ads Script Template 2023

Brian Moncada walks through a YouTube ad script template: start with your ideal client avatar, position your offer, hook them in the first three seconds, write body copy that addresses their problem, then close. He covers each step with examples for coaches, agencies, and course creators.
This YouTube ad script has been responsible for helping our clients generate hundreds of thousands of dollars. And in this video, I'm going to give it to you completely for free. It's called the Seven Figure YouTube Ads Script. My name is Brian Montgaba. I'm the founder of Adspend.com we are a YouTube ads agency that specializes in helping experts, authors, coaches and speakers scale past seven and eight figures using YouTube, Google and TikTok ads. And without further ado, let's, let's dive into this script and show you exactly how it works. So look, first things first. The first step to any successful YouTube ads campaign is a high converting script. The purpose of this document is to provide you with a copy and paste system that allows you to quickly write your first or next five high ROI YouTube ads that get you high paying clients in 60 minutes or less. This worksheet will require some thinking, but it will give you the framework you need to speak directly to your most ideal clients. So all you have to do is simply answer the questions in sections 1 and 2 and then use those answers to write your scripts in section 3, 4 and 5. If you get stuck or need help, watch the training videos below and see the examples below. So I've linked a training that is here for you to watch. Although this is gonna be the same training, so I'm not gonna go through it right now. I've also link LinkedIn example what this should look like once you're done filling out this script template so you can really see how deep you should go within sections one and two. And then I've also linked a case study that one of our clients has used with this script to go from $300,000 a month to $500,000 a month with just one of the YouTube ads that were written from this script template, which is amazing. So without further ado, I'm going to dive into it. But I also have attached the swipe file here so you can see other examples of YouTube ads that have used a similar structure to the script template and see how they were able to get such crazy results. Once you get this script template, by the way, just go ahead and make a copy, click file, you know, make a copy and then you know, save it with your own name or whatever. Obviously, because if you try to edit this one, it's not going to work because it's view only. All right, I'm going to show you exactly how to edit this at the end of the video. All right, how to Access this Step 1 Avatar Deep Dive okay, so the very first step when you're writing your YouTube ads is to get crystal clear on who your ideal client is. Who are you actually speaking to? Who are you trying to get the attention of within your YouTube ads? A lot of people make the mistake when they first start running ads. They try to talk to multiple different avatars at once. You probably have a B2B service or B2C offer that you're trying to help someone go from this to this and achieve a certain transformation in their business or in their life. Who is that person exactly? What are their natural traits? Okay, really get clear on this. And we help you do that in step one, because you can answer the questions that we've listed out for you. After spending $50 million on YouTube ads in the last few years, we've boiled down how to extract the information out of your head to put it onto paper in this document. So you can constantly refer back to this whenever you're writing new copy or new ads. Okay, so the first question is the biggest result I can help a business or person achieve is go in depth here. Make this paragraphs.
Okay?
Don't just write one to two sentence answers. If you write one to two sentences, you will have to go back and rewrite more because the more information, the better, trust me. Okay, so write down the biggest result you can help a person or achieve is, is it adding an additional $100,000 a month to their business's revenue by adding YouTube ads like we do here@adspend.com is it helping someone lose 20 pounds of body fat within 90 days so they can achieve better testosterone? If they're a man over 40, what is that real biggest result? Okay, and then describe in question number two your most ideal client or customer that you've ever had that you want more of in rich detail. So, for example, their age, their gender, their lifestyle, their job, you know, their family, their hobbies, and do they have a specific name they use? Okay, so for example, if you're a man over 40, all right, if you're a digital marketer, if you're an SMMA agency owner, right? Like, there's maybe a different name that they use that they resonate with that you can call out. Okay, well, write all those things down here and remember, you're trying to talk to one ideal avatar. So if you have multiple avatars, right? Avatar one, write avatar two, right. Avatar three. And like, you can actually list them out one by one, and that'll help you, obviously, in the future sections. So go through that. This really? Again, extracts all the information about who you're talking to in your ads. That's step one.
Okay.
Now go through all those, that's questions one through 12. Step two.
Okay.
Is offer positioning. Okay, so we just extracted all of the information about who your ideal client avatar is. Now we're going to extract all the information about how your offer is packaged and positioned to the marketplace to use those answers when we're writing your script. Okay, so the first thing is who are you, what do you do and who do you help? Exactly? Okay, who are you, what do you do and who do you help? Exactly. So if you are an e commerce business, for example, you sell physical products, talk about the brand here, how long you've been in business, you know, who you help, what products you create, etc. If you're are, if you are a high ticket coach, course creator or agency owner, talk about you, obviously who you help and then, you know, what do you do? Okay, and then what are some of your biggest accomplishments, awards or features? For example, number of clients you've helped, awards you've earned, features in big publications, clients you've worked with, big names. Right. Write all that down here, brag about yourself a little bit. All right, the reason this will make sense as we get further into the video, but will be crystal clear. But you want to talk about why should somebody care about you, essentially? Like why should they even listen to you, especially on this ad? Okay, and then number 15, what are the three to five things they need to do to fix their problem or achieve their desired result? And then think of the three to five mistakes. This is just an example that they can take right now to get the desired result. Right. So what are the three to five things that most of your ideal clients or customers are struggling with? Write those down and be as detailed as possible. What are you offering to help them in your ad? Exactly. So for example, this is where most people get tripped up. This is a script template. Okay. It's not a one size fits all for every single business. Obviously. At Adspin.com, we work with a ton of six, seven and eight figure business owners, especially in the info marketing space. Okay. We've worked with big names like Jordan Belfort, the Wolf of Wall street, you know, Sam Ovens, Cole Gordon, Roland Frazier, co founder of digital marketer John Asaroff, Bedros Coolian, Nick Unsworth, Tap brothers who sell physical products or who sell info products for the, you know, info marketing space and the fitness space. You know, Tamara T. Who's an Amazon FBA coach, right? Tons and tons of digital marketers that sell information products because that's who we serve the best. That's who we resonate with. You know, our mission is to educate the world through advertising. That's all fluff and stuff that I don't really want to talk about right now because that's not why you're here. I'm just showing you how the, this script template was originally set up because of the market that we serve and who our clients typically are. So for you, if you're selling a physical product, right, then you have to adjust the script based off that. So obviously one thing I want to make sure and very clear here is if you're running ads to get leads to go watch a video sales letter, okay, Whether you're using a, you know, BSL book, a call funnel, then you're going to be selling the free training, okay? You're going to be selling the actual video that you want them to watch. You're not selling your product or your offer on the actual ad. A lot of people make this mistake. Don't sell the offer or the program, sell the video. And what they'll learn when they watch the video, okay? How the video will help them overcome their biggest obstacles, pain points, frustrations and problems. So sell the video, not the product. Now, if you are an E commerce business or you're selling a low ticket Info product, whether it's 7, 10 30, 7, $97, whether it's a workout program membership, something like that, where it goes directly to a sales page that offers them the product, then obviously sell the product on the ad, okay? So it really depends on you and your business. Use your best judgment there and adapt accordingly. And then finally, what is the unique mechanism? There's a period missing. I'm going to go ahead and edit that. What is it unique? What is the unique mechanism that makes your offer different? Why is it better? Why is it different from what they've already tried in the past? For example, muscle confusion, you know, from P90X back in like the 2000s, I think it was like the 1990s actually as well where they took the industry by storm by using the example of P90X works so well because of muscle confusion. You do so many different workouts that it confuses the muscle. They have no choice but to adapt. And it grows and loses body fat. And it grows muscle and loses body fat faster. Endless options. This was a dating offer back in like the COVID times signal to noise ratio was their unique mechanism. One of our Clients, the Tower Brothers used the RPF method, okay, to scale their low ticket info. Body weight, body weight at home workout program. Anyways, that goes through all of your offer. Okay? That's steps one and two. Answer those in concrete detail, okay? Be as specific and detailed as possible. Paragraphs, not one to two sentences.
Okay?
Now step three is the hook regenerator.
Okay?
Now now that you've done the hard work, which is extracting the information out of your head, now we need to know obviously how to use that to write your scripts. So you've done all the hard work. And remember, the most important piece of your YouTube ad is the hook. They only have five seconds, okay? You only have five seconds before they can skip. Alright? So use your answers from the questions above to write down five different hooks that will captivate your audience's attention and keep them watching.
Okay?
You have to sell them on continuing to watch. What will they learn from the actual ad? So now let's get into the hook generator, step three. All right, so I have five different examples here for you of proven hooks as well as YouTube links. You can click to watch these, you know, types of prompts, these proven hooks in action. And you can see the first one's going to be make a big bold promise or claim. You can click on this YouTube link and actually see a YouTube ad that, that one of our clients used with this ad specifically asking a question.
Okay.
Obviously one of the best ways to, you know, get someone's attention is to ask them a question, call out your ideal client or customer, qualify and disqualify, and then acting out the problem or mistake that your clients and customers can make. Again, there's examples with each of these proven hooks for you to watch right there. Now the best part about this is you've already done the hard work. All you need to do is, is go up to the answers above and copy and paste your answers from questions above there.
Okay?
So for example, for hook number one, make a big bold promise or claim. Well, if you remember, we already just answered the questions and we said the biggest result I can help a business or person achieve is. Okay, what is that answer? I'm going to copy this answer. I'm going to bring it down right here and paste it.
Okay?
Boom. Now, for example, that's your hook and you can rewrite it obviously to make sure that it makes sense. And now the second one's asking a question. Okay, great. Where do I find that? How do I do that? You can obviously watch this example to see and get a Feel of how you would do it. And then you would copy your answers from either number 3, number 4, number 5, number 8, number 10, or number 12 above to actually ask a question, what's the biggest problem? Or, you know, your most ideal customer has. What keeps your ideal customer awake at night for? So, for example, if you're selling a, you know, a fat boss offer, for example, are you tired of waking up in the middle of the night because you're out of breath? Because. Because of all the body fat you have? Obviously, I wouldn't be that, you know, harsh, but you can. You can see where we're going with this, right? How that those answers can come into a hook, and then you can obviously follow the examples, calling out your ideal client and customer. By the way, the best YouTube ads. Just a bonus tip for you. Use all three of these in the first, like, five seconds, okay? If you can find a way to combine all three of these as well into one hook, you'll be golden. All right? So go through step three. Three, copy and paste the answers from above into these and watch the example. So you can write your first hooks and then step four. Now we have the hooks. Okay? The hook is the most important piece. All right? David Ogilvie said, if you're gonna spend, like, 80 cents of $1 in an advertisement should be spent on the headline, okay? Most people read the headline. They don't read the copy. So your headline has to be crucial here, right? So again, that's the same thing with the YouTube ad in the hook. Now, step four, once you have the hooks written, it's time to write the body copy.
Okay?
The body contains two elements, the story and the close. Okay? The story and the call to action.
Okay?
So the body now is written and has templates here for you to copy and paste as well. Again, it's a copy and paste system. I've spent months developing this, this template for you, and clients love it. We've gotten tremendous results of it. And again, you're getting it right here from this video. So copy and paste the answers from questions number 13 and 14 above. I have three different examples with each of these sections inside the story. The story is to establish credibility and social proof. And again, you've already answered the questions from 13 and 14 above, right? Who are you? What do you do? Who do you help exactly? What are some of your biggest accomplishments, awards or features? Use those. Copy those answers and put them right here. And then rewrite it, obviously, to make it flow well.
Okay?
So if you're not following along here, you're not really sure what we're doing. The hooks are the first few seconds of your ad. You're going to attach those hooks to your body, and that creates five ads. And I'll show you what this looks like in a second. Social proof and credibility is what we start with in the story.
Okay?
Because again, why should they listen to you? Why should they care? You know, you're just some random guy interrupting their day or their video on YouTube. You got to really give them a reason to actually say, okay, maybe I'll take this guy seriously or this woman seriously, right? And then teach, okay, problem plus solution. Give them the what, not the how. And then there's examples of this here. Copy and paste the answers. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. I have it all listed out for you. You don't even have to think about it. You are welcome in advance. And then step five, once you have steps one, two, three, four done, it's time to copy all of those answers that you've written out and rewritten to flow a little bit better, to copy them into the sections here. Okay, this is the best part. Just copy and paste each line that you have from steps 3 and 4 above and paste them below. Then make any last edits so your script fills flows well. Okay, so you're going to go up here to step three. You're going to copy what you wrote after you've tweaked it a little bit and put it right there. Boom. And then same thing for hook 2, 3, 4, 5. And then same thing for the story. You can literally just copy all of this, right? And then paste it right here, and then obviously remove the stuff that's not supposed to be there and rewrite it. Okay, so the key here is to remove any fluff and get the script to be less than three minutes in length. YouTube ads perform best when they're less than three minutes in length according to their own policies. All right? And we've seen this with our clients. Right now, most of our scripts are as minimum as a 1 minute and 30 seconds to 3 minutes. You want to make sure your script is 3 minutes in length. I've also put some. Some timestamps next to each part of the script to give you a guide on how long each section should roughly be. So once finished, simply copy and paste everything below into your teleprompter and begin filling, filming again. You have the script. How do you film the script? We'll get in that in a second. But all of this is right here. Hook should be about 20 seconds. Story can be anywhere from 2 minutes to you know, 20 seconds to 2 minutes. Close can be about from 2 minutes to 30 seconds. This is just a rough idea of how long yours should be. Again, you want to do as much as possible with as least time as possible. So use your best judgment here. That is the script template.
