This is a YouTube video titled "THE YOUTUBE ADS 80/20 RULE // BRIAN MONCADA" containing a monologue or instructional talk by Brian Moncada explaining how to optimize YouTube ad campaigns using the 80/20 rule, focusing on pausing underperforming keywords and ads after an initial testing period.
And then you want to have a testing window of 14 days. What does this mean? Well, it means after three to four days now you can start optimizing. Now you can pause a keyword if it's over KPI. Now you can remove one of the custom segment audiences by pausing it if it's over KPI. Now you can remove one of the in market audiences if it's over KPI. But you don't want to do that in the first three to four days when you're optimizing. Most people go and just pause the campaign. But because we have three to five keywords in one of the campaigns, usually one of the keywords will spend 80% of the budget. It's the 8020 rule. Even with the ads, one of your ad will get 80% of the budget. One of your keywords will get 80% of the budget. And what you want to do is if it's over KPI, pause that because you might have another one that's inside that same campaign and that ad group that's doing really well, it just needs more spend. And that's how you optimize the campaigns after you launch.
