A single speaker argues that cheap resources cost more in the long run. Using mountain spring water versus plastic bottles as an example, they connect this principle to hiring decisions and agency partnerships in business.
There's nothing more expensive than a cheap resource. For example, I have this mountain valley spring water glass bottle in my hand. This is the highest quality water you can buy and you can drink in my personal opinion. And it's expensive. Why? Because, well, this is taken from the springs in mountains where the water is pure and clean. But you compare this to a plastic bottle of water that you can get from great value for 2.99 for a bunch of 24 plastic water bottles. Sure, it's cheaper. What it's also costing you in the long run is way more harmful than this right here. More importantly, the highest quality resources usually last a lot longer. So remember that the next time you go to buy anything. There's nothing more expensive than a cheap resource, especially when it comes to your business and you're making decisions about what you should invest in, who you should hire or what agency you should work with. There's nothing more expensive than a cheap resource.
