This is a YouTube video titled "This will piss a lot of media buyers off...π #shorts" containing a conversation between two speakers discussing the use and necessity of Google Analytics in media buying and advertising strategies. The dialogue focuses on simplifying analytics tools and questioning the reliance on Google Analytics for ad campaigns. The content was created in January 2023.
And this was kind of what I was getting at with Elon's first instinct to delete.
Right.
When you and I were collaborating on it and you were like, we were going over the structure first, you can probably remember, I always was asking.
You, make it simpler.
Can we remove that?
Yeah, like the Google Analytics thing.
Do we need Google Analytics?
Yeah, you don't need it. You just need to strip down to the very bare minimum of what you need to get the result. There's going to be people out there that hear that, that are like, I don't know, whatever you consider them media buyers or whatever, and they're going to say, like, oh, you need Google Analytics, man. Like, without Google.
Analytics, it's like.
Well, not really. I mean, we spend about $2 million on YouTube ads right now for just a handful of clients, and we've never.
Really used.
Google Analytics. No, I mean, you don't need it. You don't need it.
I had Google Analytics installed for most of the years of my business life, and I never looked at it.
