Why Every Business Owner NEEDS To Run YouTube Ads in 2025

YouTube ads outperform Facebook ads for most businesses because of better targeting, scalability, and video's power to build trust. The speaker shares why broad offers and high-intent audiences convert better on YouTube in 2025.
YouTube ads are better than Facebook ads. And I've spent over $60 million on ads and worked with some of the biggest names in the entire industry. Guys like Charlie Morgan, Cole Gordon, Brandon Carter, Jeremy Miner, Bedros Coolian, partnered with Sam Oven. He's even got interviewed by Tai Lopez. And I can tell you that after doing all this for the last four and a half years and running a company, Adspend.com that's scaled past multiple seven figures, YouTube ads are by far better than Facebook. But the problem is most businesses are looking at it the completely wrong way. YouTube is the new TV, okay? YouTube is the new television. Everybody and their mom has YouTube on their phone and their TV. That's what they use to watch TV. Now it's YouTube and YouTube ads are the new TV commercials. But the problem is most businesses have no business running YouTube ads before they get Facebook ads working first, especially if they are selling a B2B type of service. Why Facebook ads are easier to start. Let's just be honest. You can put up some image of your dog or cat, if you're a pet cleaning business, for example, some basic copy and target people within a general vicinity of where you live. And try to get clients using Facebook. Very easy to do, low barrier to entry. And it's easier to get success quickly because, well, Facebook's algorithm is pretty much dialed in the. But the problem is with YouTube, okay, you have to create a video, a video just like the one you're watching right now, which takes a little bit more confidence from someone on camera to deliver a compelling message that actually gets a potential customer to click and actually convert into a lead or into a call or most importantly, into a client and customer. And businesses have a harder time scaling on YouTube, especially when they're selling a B2B service to a marketplace that's very small. So, for example, we had a client come to us one time that wanted to work with us in our agency, and they were targeting companies that had a call center with 50 plus telemarketer representatives in their call center. And I said, how do you expect me to get in front of those people on YouTube? And he's like, well, that's why I'm in the call speaking to you, to see if we can get in front of them on YouTube. But I couldn't, I couldn't promise that. Why? Because YouTube's algorithm with targeting is not meant to get that specific. YouTube's a new television. It's mass market, Everybody watches television. So your audience has to be big enough and your Market. And your offer has to be broad enough in order to appeal to a wide variety of people. Which is why the best businesses that get the best results with YouTube ads are the businesses that sell a very broad offer and service to a wide variety of people. It's why our company sponsors specializes in courses, coaching, and masterminds that want to help people make money online or create a better future for themselves or learn a different type of skill. Why? Because YouTube is where people go when they want to learn or to be entertained, which means their intent is higher. With Facebook, you can pull out your phone and you can just start scrolling through it and you'll see ad after ad after ad. But I'm just killing time on Facebook. I'm just there, bored, kind of just swiping and seeing what my friends are up to and just kind of, you know, killing time using my dopamine before my next thing that I got to do or my next meeting with YouTube. If I click on a YouTube video, what happens? I have intent. I want to watch that YouTube video. If I place your ad as a business in front of that next video, and that video is related to what your business has to offer, guess what? The person watching that video. Me. I'm going to have more intent to potentially click on your ad because you're placing it before the next video that I watch on YouTube that's related to the product or service that you're offering. You can target people that, based on what they're actually searching for on Google and YouTube. No kidding. If I go to Google right now and I type in running ads on YouTube, me, the advertiser running your ads on YouTube, I can target people who've actually searched that keyword on Google and YouTube. So if you sell dog walking services, all right, you can actually target people who've typed in dog walker in California, local dog walker in San Antonio, local dog walker in Scottsdale, Arizona, and I can show your ads to that person who typed in that in Google and YouTube, and the next time they're on YouTube watching a YouTube video, your ad plays before their next YouTube video. You see how powerful that is, right? You can actually target specific people. And based on what they're specifically searching for on Google and YouTube, with Facebook, you can't do that. When's the last time you went to Facebook and you said, how do I change my tire? You never have. Why? Because Facebook is not a search engine. If you want to change your tire, you want to learn how to change your tire because your car just broke down. Your tire just became flat. You got a nail stuck in it. You need to change it with a spare in the back seat. Go to YouTube and watch a YouTube video to learn how to change that tire. Now, the biggest reason why YouTube is a lot better than Facebook in most cases for most businesses is because the scalability of it. YouTube ads live longer, fatigue slower, and convert faster. For example, we have a client and multiple clients at this point that have ad ads on YouTube last more than two or even sometimes three years, right? I just did an ad breakdown on my YouTube channel the other day of one of our ads for a client that that has over 11 million views and has been running profitably for over three years. When's the last time you achieved that type of sustainable growth and profitability with an ad on Facebook? My guess is never. Or at least it's been a long time since like 2016 when Facebook was in the golden age, right? With YouTube, ads live longer, fatigue slower, and convert faster. They can last way longer and still be profitable. Why? YouTube's a search engine. Like I said, with the audience stuff, you can actually keep targeting people who are searching those specific things on YouTube. And guess what? Only more and more people are posting more and more videos every single day on YouTube. So the more people that post more videos about more specific keywords and topics that your ideal audience on YouTube is interested in watching, your ad continues playing in front of those videos, AKA being in front of more new audiences that have yet to see that ad. Facebook can't do that. Okay, with Facebook, when you try scaling the campaign, guess what happens? You double the budget and then all of a sudden things start breaking. That's the number one complain concern I hear from most clients that want to work with us. I try to scale my Facebook ads and things just start breaking. My cost per lead goes through the roof. My cost per call goes through the roof. It just stopped working. Why? And I'm like, well, with YouTube, the cool part is when you double the budget, it takes about three to four days to optimize and find more of your ideal audience. And that actually becomes more profitable sometimes than when you didn't double the budget. It's a scalable platform. It's a scaling platform. There's way more audiences on YouTube that might be interested in what you're offering. So it's a lot easier to scale. It's a lot less frustrating, I should say, than Facebook to scale. And more importantly, your ads will continue showing the more new potential clients for as long as your ad can run. On YouTube and as long as it's profitable and your business is running. And the number one reason, in my personal opinion, and from just my experience, hands down, working with all different types of businesses and all different type of niches, and spending millions of dollars on YouTube ads, the number one reason why YouTube ads is by far better than Facebook ads, again, in most cases, is because with YouTube, again, in order to even run ads on YouTube in the first place, guess what? You need to make a video, a video just like the one you're watching right now. And what do videos do? They cut through the noise and they actually create trust and likability a lot faster and a lot quicker than a simple image ad on Facebook. Because with video, there's really no hiding it, right? You have to have a script, you have to have good editing, and it has to be engaging and enticing enough for. For a potential viewer to click and to convert. There's a lot more credibility with the video, right? And the more videos they watch of you, the easier it is for them to actually buy from you. With YouTube ads, you can get in front of the right person at the right time for the right price and show them a simple video that hooks them by calling out their ideal pain points, their frustrations, and highlighting their desires, their goals, and their dreams. Tell a story about you, your brand, your product, your service, or your company, and educates them enough to get their trust so that they can actually buy from you a lot quicker than the person who's just running the ad on Facebook. YouTube ads, again, should be educational, but also entertaining. And when you combine both, you can actually get someone to trust you a lot faster and buy from you and spend more. With YouTube ads, it costs a little bit more to get your ideal clients. It's a little bit more expensive than Facebook, but the quality of clients that you get are a lot better and they spend a lot more.
