This is a YouTube video titled "Why making a new channel is important #shorts" containing a single-speaker explanation from September 14, 2023, discussing the strategy of creating a separate YouTube channel for ads to avoid mixing ad analytics with organic video performance metrics.
You want to create a new YouTube channel specifically for your ads. I mean, there's really no proof to kind of back this up, but, like, basically everyone's always concerned if they have a YouTube channel that's, like, very popular organically. Hey, will running ads, like, decrease my organic reach? And although we haven't found that to be the case necessarily, what the problem is is if you have a YouTube channel that has, like, you know, a lot of subscribers and you start spending a lot of money on YouTube ads, your analytics are just going to, like, look like shit, because all your analytics are going to give credit to the ads, and it's going to look like it's going to be very hard to navigate what organic videos, especially if organic YouTube's like, one of your main income drivers for your business, it's just going to get messy and you're going to have to, like, look between ads and then what organic videos are actually converting. Well, so we just avoid that by having all of our clients create a new YouTube channel to prevent it messing with the organic metrics.
