Why Skool.com by Sam Ovens is better than Kajabi & FB Groups (For Courses/Coaching Programs!)

Brian Moncada compares platforms for hosting courses and coaching programs, arguing that Skool.com does what Kajabi and Facebook groups do but in one place. He draws on personal experience to show why creators should consolidate their tools.
If you sell courses or coaching programs and you use Kajabi to host your course or Facebook to host your group for your clients or your students, or even Discord or Slack, then you're going to want to watch this video entirely because I'm going to explain to you why Kajabi, Facebook, Discord or Slack are all far inferior to school.com school.com is 10 times better. And I'm going to show you why in this video. So let's dive into it right now. Okay, so let's first start off with why I believe Kajabi and Facebook groups are far inferior to school.com so let's check this out. Kajabi. This is our seven figure YouTube ads sales accelerator program, our course, and we have it hosted in Kajabi. So this is coming from firsthand experience, right. And if you've been in this space or you are someone who has a course, you probably have it hosted on Kajabi. And Kajabi is good for hosting your course because it's easy to upload the videos. You can arrange it however you like. Right. It's all right here for, you know, your clients to come in and figure out how to use it, obviously, and watch the videos. But the problem with Kajabi is there's no community.
Right.
The community in the courses that I've been in and that you've probably been sold to or the way you sell your course or coaching program are all in Facebook.
Right?
Right. So you have to have multiple logins for the material because you can access the course in Kajabi, obviously. But to get your questions answered about the course, you have to have a Facebook profile most of the time. And then you can go into something like, for example, I am in Cole Gordon's sales team accelerator.
Right.
There's 162 members for the mastermind. And you know, all of the courting, the, you know, community is in Facebook.
Right.
Because a lot of people have Facebook. So it makes sense as why this is easier. But you kind of have to go back and forth. So there's, there's one problem with that is multiple logins. And it's even worse if you have, you know, Kajabi as your course, you have Facebook group where you have to figure out how to go to the, you know, the coaching calls or whatever. And then you have something like this, right. Voxer. Right. So this is something that I personally don't prefer or like at all. But like you have something like Voxer here or even Slack, right. Or you have discord Right. So you have to have, you know, like different things for just one program. Right. Like you're selling a client on your course, coaching hybrid or your program, yet they have to log into different things. You see, I have three tabs open just to access one different thing or sorry, one specific program. I have to have ad spend or I have to have a Kajabi, I have to have Facebook and I have to have Voxer or Slack to access my account manager to talk to them. So it's multiple logins and that can create some confusion, especially if the people that you are selling your program to aren't very tech savvy, just can get really confusing and cause headaches for your account managers or yourself if you're the one hosting everything on your own. So I have some notes here so I make sure I stay on topic. Yeah. So then it can be confusing, right. When trying to find Zoom links. And then here now we introduce something like school.com. so this is, this is School. This is created by Sam Ovens. A lot of you know that I'm partnering with Sam Ovens on Wetube and I'm biased on school.com because we have our coaching program for our seven figure YouTube ad sales accelerator in here now.
Right?
So this is our YouTube ads coaching program where we teach, you know, info product business owners how to scale with YouTube ads. So we have a wide variety of clients in here, clients who are selling low ticket info products, clients that are selling high ticket, you know, coaching programs with book a call funnels or even webinars. So they have launches and they all join this program to, to learn our secret strategies to scaling our clients to way past seven and eight figures with YouTube ads. And so we moved our program from Kajabi to School and here is why I believe it's better for everybody, especially you.
Right?
So the community tab. Okay. When you first log in. Well, let's start from the basics, right? Number one, it's one login, it's school.com and you can set up a webhook to just like you can with Kajabi when a new client enrolls in your coaching program or your course to automatically send them an invite from school. Right, to join. Okay, so it's one login because you have the community, you have the classroom which is the course and you have the calendar to access the coaching calls, which we'll get into in a second. So let's start with the community. All right, first things first, when someone joins school to your program, they see the community Here. And the cool part about this is the. This is where you can have your clients introduce themselves. This is where you can have your clients ask questions, right? You can see here we have a few clients. Eric here just introduced himself. He's from Toronto. He's a computer engineer and business developer. He wants to learn YouTube ads to scale his specific offer. Nurse Sultan, he's an agency owner, Facebook ads, they do webinars, but they Want to learn YouTube ads to help their clients. And then we have Josh, who has a Facebook ads agency as well. He wants to learn YouTube ads to help his clients. So we have a wide variety of people in here, but ultimately they serve one purpose. With the community tab here, introduce yourself, ask questions, and post announcements. So if you write something right here, right, you can title this whatever you want. Your clients and your students can ask questions. You can select a category, general discussion, announcements, questions, or you can introduce yourself. So when you post, you have to select a category, and then you can post. This is a test, yada, yada, yada. You can upload attachments, links to specific websites, YouTube videos, or upload videos, right? And then you can add a poll. So we could add a poll and poll our students or clients on how they're liking the program and then add emojis and things like that. The best part about the community tab, all right, is that you can send emails to all of your members inside the program.
Boom.
When I post this, right, And I write something here, this sends as an email broadcast to everybody in our program so they get to see it. That's very, very powerful. So when you have an announcement for something that is updated or you want all of your members to see, you can post in school on the community tab as a announcement and then send it to all of your members, right? This is totally customizable. You can customize these topics as well.
All right?
And so that's very, very powerful. So let me just make sure I'm on my notes. Oh, the other thing, too, is check this out. So that's the community tab, right? And we're not even done with the community tab, right? Next is they can see when the next call is coming up. So with school.com it's for courses and coaching programs, and it eliminates the need for Kajabi, Facebook or something like Voxer. You see three tabs, and now we have one tab, because in this tab, just this one software. So I have something on my lip. There we go. Copy and creatives calls happening in 48 hours. So on our calendar Which I'll get into in a second. We have coaching calls that take place every week for our clients, and it shows you when the next call is coming up, when you're online. It also shows you who's online. So you can see that I'm the only one online right now.
Right.
But we also have a leaderboard in here. That means that the more engaging you are in the program, the higher up on the leaderboard you are. So you can gamify this system to really cause or create good engagement in your community and reward them based off specific rewards on the leaderboard. So if you have, for example, Josh here, let's say Josh is just number one on the leaderboard for like 30 days and no one's beating him. It's like, hey, man, thanks for being such a great part of the community. I see you're really interactive. We want to send you a free gift, right? Just for being a part of the community and being so interactive and helping the other students or clients. Like, here's a free gift, right? So here's an example what that looks like. So I'm actually in, obviously, Sam Mulvin's Quantum Mastermind. And you can see there's a multiple people logged in right now. These are everyone who's online for online.
Right.
The leaderboard here is popping. I was number one last month, but Tony's just taken over. He's way in the lead. He has plus 96. He's number one. And every month, Sam and his team and his community manager named Sid, they were. They reward their clients by sending them a gift in the mail. Now, I won't spoil what that is, but I got that last month in the mail. So it was a cool gift just for being someone who was adding a ton of value to the community. And, you know, people like your posts. People comment on your posts. The more likes you get, whether it's on your post or your comments on other people's posts, the higher up on the leaderboard you can go. So you can see why it's almost gamifying the community to get more people to engage and you can reward them. I know one of our clients, Cameron, in our. Our specific program, he has like a whole just like reward system in his school.com group. So it's pretty sick. You can really get fun, really make this really fun. And then, yeah, that's the community.
All right.
I think that makes enough sense. And then the courses. Okay, so courses. So now let's go to the classroom tab. So you see the community in Here, this eliminates Facebook, right? Then you go to classroom. This is where you can host your course. All right, so this is pretty powerful too because you can see we have two different modules here, right? Like in Kajabi. Let's just move back here, right? So you can organize this as best or however you want. But we have it like this. This is an example of our setup. So we have the course right here. So when you go into the seven figure YouTube ads sales accelerator, you have everything you need to start running YouTube ads. If you're someone who's running ads right now on Facebook and you want to start on YouTube, you can go in here and you can go immediately to account setup and you can watch the videos right here. All right. You can see it's exactly like Kajabi. You have the videos right already here. You can access them by clicking on them. But it's all right here. And the guide is on the left hand side, which I love, as opposed to getting lost here, right? You can see how you can kind of see all the next category, things like that. It's kind of like packed up here one school, it's all to the left hand side to continue guiding you, right? So this is pretty sick because again, if you're a client that comes into our program, you can immediately see that you can have everything at your fingertips on how to go step by step to creating your accounts, right? Setting up tracking and conversions for your YouTube ads. We even have bonus sections in here with targeting, right? All of our targeting templates, timelines and you know, frameworks and then our launching, right? If you're launching, you're ready to launch, you have all of our launching videos, right? Optimizing and scaling, you can see all of this. And then we have bonus videos in here, even for like sales. Because obviously the biggest part of scaling with YouTube ads or any info product business is you know, having a sales team on the back end to help you call the leads, qualify the leads and sell them to a higher ticket program. So we have a bonus module in our program from Cole Gordon, which is one of my good friends who gave us his hiring appointment setters and closers modules as well as his sales management and leadership, which our clients love because they come into our YouTube ads program and we're just over delivering for them by giving them extra bonus modules to really help them scale past seven and eight figures. Because YouTube ads again is just another way to get in front of the right people. But of course to get past that and to go to the next Level, you want to have a sales team. And so we have all of that in our program. So, so it's a really sick program. But ultimately you can see why the classroom's so powerful because it's all laid out here. This is how we've organized it. Right now let's go back to the classroom to show you something else. We have another module in here that's called Calls and Recordings. So we can allow our clients to come in here and watch all of our previous videos. It hasn't been updated since March because. Well, actually, sorry, no, that's not true. April 19, it was the last time it was updated because. Because our operations assistant was getting married last week. So that was very, very awesome for her. Shout out to Demi. If you're watching this video, congrats again. And so, yeah, that's how. That's one way you can set up your classroom. You can have the course right here and you can have the calls and recordings right here. Very simple. Our clients can come in, they can access the course, they can access the calls and recordings. If you're selling a mastermind, for example, let me show you what the, this looks like for Sam Ovens and Quantum, right? You can go to the classroom section and you can see that he has the last Quantum. Quantum Mastermind recordings that were in person uploaded as a separate module. So when you click on this, it shows it very simply. Day one, day two, day three. You can go do, go through each day day by day. You can do the virtual one, right? So he has each of the masterminds, day one, day two, day three, laid out like that. So there's different events obviously. And you can go to each event and watch the previous recordings. Let's go to up level and show you how he, how he has it laid it out in here. Laid it out. Geez, I need to slow down, Brian. Okay, so there's only one module. So it's just one module in the classroom. So it's up level consulting week one through week eight. Each week has its own different videos you can see there. So that should give you an idea of how powerful the classroom is. Now let me just make sure I don't miss anything. Oh, the cool part about this is. So I gave you a few examples of how you can lay this out. The cool part about this as well is you can restrict access to specific categories. So let me see if I can find it here. So the category section I can, I can show you. When you're adding a post in the community, you can Add a category for different categories of the posts. But I believe there is a membership. Let's see, you're an admin invite general, I believe in here, let me just see if I can do this. See all 32 members, you can change their access to something. So let me just try this. Remove from group, ban from group. Yeah, manage access. Watch this. So you can select different things that they have access to. So it's grayed out right now, but this is a cool feature because let's say that you have upsold some clients onto a bonus section of the program that you want them to have access to because they've paid more money to. You can give them access to that bonus section and everybody who doesn't upgrade as an upsell doesn't get access to it. So if we, for example, wanted to only give access to some of our clients for the calls and recordings module, then I can manually select who gets access to that and who doesn't. Because again, you can arrange this however you want, but you can get creative here about what this means for you. It means that if you sell more to somebody and they get more access, you can give them access to more things as opposed to someone who just buys one thing, right? So that's pretty cool too. So that's an awesome feature you can restrict access to as necessary. Calendar. Okay, so let's go to the calendar now. So again, we've already went over the community, which eliminates the need for a Facebook group, right? It's all in here in one login. We've shown you the classroom, which eliminates the need for kajabi, because it's all in here, right? Classroom and then the calendar. Okay, the calendar. So the calendar is very, very easy to understand because it's literally a calendar. And you can see here we have all of our coaching calls for our program on Tuesdays and Thursdays. One of them starts at 11:30, the other one starts at 11:00am and the cool part about this is the next call that's coming up is on this coming Tuesday at 11:30. It's on copy and creatives for YouTube ads, right? So all of our clients join this call and they ask us questions about their copy, their YouTube ads, how to improve their ads, and maybe just ask any questions that come up at the time too. And we help them with that. But the zoom link is right here and they have the ability to add it to their calendar on Google, Apple, Outlook, Outlook.com or Yahoo. I don't even know who still uses Yahoo at this point. It's probably all Google, which is why it's the top one. But this is very convenient for your students and your clients because rather than having to go to, you know, Facebook, for example, and find. Let me just show you in a better example here. Let's just go to sales team accelerator. And I'm not by any means dissing anybody who has Kajabi Facebook groups. I'm just showing you a better alternative in my personal opinion. So let's see if I can find the calls. So if I didn't have the calls on my calendar, how do I find the calls? You can see I'm already kind of like lost here. Where do I go to find the calls? About. Let's just go to about. All right. It's not there. Featured.
No.
Yeah. I mean, I'm. I'm already lost at this point. I'm probably gonna have to ask somebody I don't know, right? That took me five minutes. I'm over it. I could ask my account manager and Voxer, right? Which is another feature that most of you probably watching have is like they get the Kajabi course, right? The login, they get the Facebook group to find the community and hopefully the calls a lot faster than I did. And then they get the Voxer, Slack or Discord access to talk to someone and ask questions in real time. But it's all right here in school, right? So they can come here, they can click on the Zoom link and boom, it pops up to Zoom, it launches the Zoom when the call happens. They can join immediately. And the final reason why school.com is better than Kajabi Facebook groups, Voxer, Slack or Discord is because right now Sam ovens is offering 40% of monthly recurring revenue to, to everybody that are to you or to everybody that has referrals for school. So it means that if you sign up for school.com and you refer someone to school.com, you get 40% of their recurring revenue every single month. Which means that if you refer three people to school, that means it becomes a new income stream for you and not a cost. Because again, school.com, if I didn't mention it already, is only $99, right? Which is already a hundred bucks less than Kajabi, but has everything that you need for your course or coaching program. So if you want to sign up for school and it's a seven day free trial, you can click the link down below in the description of this video and you can sign up using my referral link, which I appreciate, and then everybody that you get to sign up for school.com you can also earn 40% of monthly recurring revenue for everybody that signs up, which is an amazing deal. So again, this is why I believe school.com is the best for coaching and course businesses right now. And the updates and the features are only getting better. So I would highly encourage everybody to check it out using the link down below. And if you liked this video, then go ahead and give this video a thumbs up and let me know in the comments if you're gonna try school. And please use the link if you do. Other than that, that's it for me. Until next time guys. Keep smiling, keep learning, keep growing and I will see you in the next video.
Cheers.
