To me, the sword has always been like a symbol of the epitome of magic. You know, when I say magic in this sense, I'm talking about stepping outside of the mundane, mediocre world where there's so much crap just waiting to grind you down, whether it's, you know, worried about how you're gonna get the money to pay rent this month, or, you know, some health issue you're dealing with, like all the things that we have to deal with in the mundane world. When you pick up a sword, you're not thinking about any of those things anymore. It's almost like you've, you've made this crossover into this kind of existence. Like, the first thing you learn whenever you are learning sword is the Chinese character for light. The strokes you make with the sword, like the cutting combinations that you make, you are drawing the character, the calligraphy character for light in the air in front of you over and over and over. Right.
