The "Second Sun" Just Woke Up — And It's Changing Humanity - Dr. Heather Ensworth

Dr. Heather Ensworth, a clinical psychologist and astrologer, argues that the galactic center reactivated in 2024, flooding Earth with energies that alter DNA and shift consciousness. She ties this to the 24,000-year precessional cycle and the transition from Pisces to Aquarius, pointing to ancient sites like Göbekli Tepe and the pyramids as records of these cosmic patterns.

We're more subject to solar energies coming to us. We've actually seen the reactivation of the galactic center starting in 2024. It's been inactive for thousands of years, so we're getting bombarded by those cosmic energies, activate our pineal glands, change our DNA, transform how we function biologically, as well as shifting our consciousness. The galactic center is The black hole at the center of our galaxy, the cosmic womb from which everything has been birthed. And in ancient texts, it's often called the second sun. That happened 12,000 years ago with the Younger Dryas crisis. We're now at that point now. And this is what my book is about, that we have the opportunity now as humanity to make an evolutionary leap in our consciousness instead of continuing on this cycle. of ascending and descending consciousness.
Welcome to the Reality Revolution. My guest today lives at the crossroads of science and the sacred. Heather Ensworth holds a PhD and is a clinical psychologist, an astrologer, and a lifelong student of cultural anthropology and shamanic healing traditions. Through her Rising Moon Healing Center, she guides people using astrology, depth psychology, and ancient earth-based wisdom. And she's the author of Astrological Ages and the Galactic Center, which explores humanity's transition into the Age of Aquarius. She hosts the, the podcast Wisdom from the Earth and Sky and teaches on the cosmic cycles shaping our consciousness and our relationship with the Earth. I'm so excited to have her. Welcome to The Reality Revolution, Heather.
Thank you, Brian. It's great to be with you.
I was excited to talk to you because you bridge 2 worlds that people often see sort of as opposites, clinical psychology and astrology. So how did you come to hold both, and how do they inform each other in your work?
It's actually an amazing combination, and interestingly enough, it was much more accepted in Europe than it has been in the States until fairly recently. I mean, Carl Jung was very Integrated with astrology in his practice, and you see that integration a lot in Jungian psychology. For me, my exposure to astrology up until I was— up until the '90s, I didn't have a lot of knowledge of it or respect for it until I actually sort of randomly had a reading with someone who offered to do a reading. And it was so mind-blowing to me how accurate it was that it led me into a deep dive to explore it, and I never looked back since. And for me, it's so powerful in combining it with psychology because astrology gives us a sense of the deeper level of what our soul's intentions were in this lifetime. So You can see what some of the strengths and struggles are for a person, but at the deeper level, you can see what is it they're trying to work through in this lifetime for their own growth and evolution.
So when you're saying astrology, it's not, hey, what should I do on Wednesday, or what's coming up this week? It's an exploration of our archetypal— what is with inside of us, right? It's different. Can you explain the difference from what people traditionally think of astrology and the way that you're discussing it?
I mean, that's a great question because I don't see astrology as predictive or deterministic. I'm much more interested in looking at it from that archetypal perspective and also an evolutionary astrology perspective, which really is looking at the soul's journey across lifetimes. So to me, When we're looking at the chart, we're looking at the energies of the stars and planets at the time of that person's birth. Those are then mirrored on the energies on the Earth. So at that time of our first breath, we're taking in those energies that are surrounding us that shape core themes in our lives. But what we do with that is our choice. We have free will in how we work with those energies.
So there have been some different astrologies that have sort of come out culturally. What is the one that you focus on in particular? What's the one that resonates with you?
I really follow the path of psychological astrology and evolutionary astrology, especially Jeff Green's work looking at how The chart speaks to issues that we're dealing with coming from past lives and what the growing edge is in this lifetime.
Well, your book centers on astrological ages and the galactic center, which is fascinating. So for someone new to this, what does it mean to say we're moving sort of into a new age, like the Age of Aquarius? And why does that matter now?
It's so critical because it really reshapes our understanding of our human history. You know, our modern Western view is that we've been on this linear progression since civilization started about 6,000 years ago, and that we're really at our most advanced level now. But when— and part of this got shaped for me by my interest in cultural anthropology and my exploration of sacred sites around the globe. And I started to realize, with trips to Egypt, to Peru, to other parts of the world— Göbekli Tepe— that these ancient sites dating back 10,000, 12,000 years show much more advanced knowledge of technology, astronomy, mathematics, energy light, acoustics, sacred geometry than we can even conceive of. So then it led me into exploring this larger cycle of human history, the precessional cycle, which is a 24,000-year cycle. And we move through approximately every 2,000 years a different age when that constellation here in the Northern Hemisphere is rising before sunrise at the time of spring equinox. From our Earth perspective, the sky shifts, seemingly shifts, 1 degree every 72 years. So the constellation rising at spring equinox shifts across about that 2,000-year period, and it's the fall equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. So I began to realize that ancient cultures were very tuned in to this larger precessional cycle and how the energies— you know, the ancient Egyptians used to say when stars rise just before the sun and are on the horizon, they incarnate. And I began to realize that each age would reflect the energy, the archetypal meaning of that constellation. And it's actually part of a larger journey of our exploring these different lessons as we move through the precessional cycle.
So what age are we in now?
We are coming out of the Age of Pisces and now moving into the Age of Aquarius. But what's Particularly powerful is the precessional cycle is the same as the Hindu Yuga cycle, which tracks that same 24,000-year cycle and holds the understanding that we go through 12,000 years of ascending consciousness, 12,000 years of descending consciousness. We're at that critical threshold now. Coming out of— interestingly enough, the last 6,000 years has been our lowest level of consciousness on the planet. We're now moving into ascending consciousness, but it's also a critical time in the precessional cycle in that at the beginning of one 24,000-year period and the midpoint, we go through the galactic current sheet. And experience major Earth changes and more radical shifts in human consciousness. That happened 12,000 years ago with the Younger Dryas crisis. We're now at that point now. And I really believe, and this is what my book is about, that we have the opportunity now as humanity to make an evolutionary leap in our consciousness. Instead of continuing on this cycle of ascending and descending consciousness.
What in particular sort of changes will we see as we move into this in, in the outside world that you would predict as we move into this?
Well, we're actually seeing right now how we're in this transition time, and part of what we're seeing is incredible turbulence in the world because the paradigms and systems that we've been relying on that are familiar to us are all falling apart. And part of what we need to realize is we're needing to purge and let go of those old patterns and systems and paradigms in order to make this shift. But we're in that liminal time where it can be very chaotic and confusing as we're transitioning out of the old forms but haven't actually manifested the new ways of being.
Help me to understand how space and light and the light and energy from stars changes the way that people act and the way the world shifts. Is our argument— the scientist in me, just help me— is the argument that the light is changing? The light is setting some sort— has a program in it that as we move through a different light spectrum, that it changes the way we behave and act and what we become aware of. Is, is that your understanding of it?
It's very complex. What I truly believe, along the lines of Jude Currivan and her amazing work on how we live—
Yes, I got a chance to talk to her. She's amazing.
Yeah, she is amazing. We live in a holographic universe where everything is interconnected.
Yes.
And part of what is significant is when we go through this galactic current sheet, which is the movement of our solar system through the galaxy, every 12,000 years we go through the galactic current sheet, that reduces the magnetic field on the Earth. We're more subject to solar energies coming to us. We've actually seen the reactivation of the galactic center starting in 2024. It's been inactive for thousands of years, so we're getting bombarded by those cosmic energies. The solar energies, the galactic energies activate our pineal glands, change our DNA, transform how we function biologically, as well as shifting our consciousness.
So explain, what is the galactic center? Something billion— many, many light years away is affecting us. How, how, for people that don't understand, what is the galactic center? Why do you make it central to understanding this era of our transition?
Part of what is extraordinary is the galactic center is the black hole at the center of our galaxy. You can think of it as the cosmic womb. From which everything has been birthed. And in ancient texts, it's often called the second sun, because when it really does fully reactivate, it glows brighter than the sun. And it does— our relationship with the galactic center affects these shifts in consciousness. But I also think part of what affects our journey through the 24,000-year precessional cycle is that we're part of a binary star system. And I believe our binary star is the star Sirius. 80% of the stars in our galaxy are binary stars, so it makes sense that our sun, our solar system, is part of a binary Is it possible to have a binary that far away?
Are there examples of that, a binary system?
It's, it's actually within the distance needed for that to occur. And it's— Sirius has been so honored in ancient mythologies from around the globe. Um, so I believe that is our binary star. And that our dance with Sirius is part of what takes us through the astrological ages, but also the shifts in our consciousness.
So in the past, there was times when that star was closer to the Earth, or it just plays a role in the gravity of the solar system? How would you theorize it?
If you look at an image of dancing with a binary star, it's like a figure 8. Right.
And I—
my— some of my hypothesis is when we move closer to the star Sirius, and then the precessional cycle actually speeds up, we increase in consciousness. As we move further from the star Sirius, we go through that descending consciousness. And think about how This time, they call it the Kali Yuga in the Hindu Yuga cycle. This last 6,000 years of our lowest level of consciousness has all been about our illusion of separation.
Very true.
So if you think about that metaphorically, as we distance from Ceres, we forget we've had these myths now believing that our Sun is a solar hero alone. In the solar system. Think how it changes our cosmology to realize, no, we're part of a dance with this other star guiding us through our journey of evolution.
So considering that this is a cycle, is your belief that the Earth has gone through this cycle before with other civilizations on the planet, and, and we're in another cycle, but other cycles have gone in the past?
And my sense is it's a spiral so that we don't just keep repeating the same experiences, but we are in a spiral of consciousness. But yes, I think we've been here for tens, if not hundreds of thousands of years as humanity in different forms, but going through this evolutionary process.
So if somebody wanted to read more about this, what's the book that you recommend for a deeper understanding of this astrological viewpoint, in addition to your book, which is amazing? What is there— is there your book— is there going back something else that you found that inspired your book?
Bibhu Dev Misra's book on the Yuga cycle is great. It's amazing to read. Have you heard of Hamlet's Mill?
I haven't.
Written by 2 scholars who trace back and show that these myths from around the globe all refer to these shifts that we go through. And so many of the myths that talk about the World Tree and the shift, or the storm shifting the World Tree, are about our relationship with the Milky Way, the galactic center, these shifts in the stars, both The stars rising at the time of the spring equinox here in the Northern Hemisphere, but also the shifts in our pole star. So the ancient cultures were very in tune with these larger cycles, tracking them. It's encoded in these ancient myths, and I think the myth of Isis and Osiris in particular encodes the meaning of the precessional cycle. But also Part of what I came to realize is ancient sites like the sites, the pyramids on the Giza Plateau, Göbekli Tepe, all have encoded in stone references to this larger precessional cycle that we go through. And I believe that those advanced cultures 12,000 years ago that built the pyramids, that built Göbekli Tepe, left us messages in stone because they knew that we would be going into this period of descending consciousness, and they left us messages that this would be a crucial time of change. And I do believe it, it's a time where we can make an evolutionary leap in our consciousness.
Where do you think they got that information when they found the— do you think that they developed it over time, or do you think some other intelligence provided that information about these cycles? Where do you think it derived from in your studies of anthropology and things like that?
I believe— and my research in ancient Egypt would really fit with this— I believe that in more ancient times, when we were at a more advanced level of consciousness, we had more interaction with our galactic family and gained information from extraterrestrials. But also, advanced ancient cultures were telepathic. They were able to download information about the cosmos. They were right-brain dominant. It's only been in the last about 5,000 years that we've become left-brain dominant and process everything through our analytical minds.
So we— it was a different form of consciousness at the time.
Yes. Right. And I believe part of what's shifting now is we're beginning to remember what we once knew. We're beginning to open up to some of those abilities again. And that's what we're capable of as we open to these energies that are calling us into this shift. Another really interesting connection in terms of these cosmic energies is Andrew Collins has written a really interesting book called The Cygnus Mystery. I don't know if you're familiar with that, but he speculates that there is a binary microquasar in the constellation Cygnus. That activated about 16,000 BCE, that radically shifted our consciousness, that led us into the Golden Age, which started about 16,000 BCE, and again activated the pineal gland, flooded us with these cosmic energies that shifted our consciousness. Interestingly enough, that microquasar Cygnus X-3 has reactivated in recent years.
Interesting. What do you— when it's hard for me to fathom the nature of all these elements in space directly affecting our consciousness, is there a way to tune into these energies that you have learned from From any of the knowledge you pulled from the past, can we tune into these energies that are flooding through us on a daily basis?
One of the classes that I teach is called Aquarian Shamanic Astrology. And I really believe as we reconnect with that ancient wisdom, And with shamanic ways of knowing, we have the capacity to open to the consciousness of the stars and planets and be in communication and communion with them. So rather than analyzing them like distant objects, we realize we're all a part of this holographic reality, and we can be in relationship with the planets and stars and allow them to let us know what their messages are, what their meaning is for us.
Now, aside from that, you, you, with cultural anthropology, you've focused on shamanistic practices, the study of shamanism. Can you, can you tell me, as I've done some, some deeper dives and it fascinates me, there's just so much interesting stuff that comes out from that literature. Talk to me a little bit more about what you've learned in studying shamanistic cultures and disciplines and techniques and that kind of thing.
I could talk about that for hours.
Well, yeah, just, I mean, what in particular? There's obviously multiple different facets of shamanism from different areas. So in particular, what have you— what has been the focus of your study?
I've really had different teachers and different shamans that I've learned from. I was very influenced by Alberto Violdo's work and did his Healing the Light Body program, interacted with some of the Q'ero from the Andes Mountains in Peru and their indigenous teachings. I've done training with a Mohawk medicine woman. Who, uh, lived among the Mayans and integrated her own background with Mayan understanding and mystical traditions. I've worked with some people trained, um, in, in terms of the wisdom of the Druids. So I've explored different—
Wow.
Traditions with that awareness that all Ancient cultures and all mystical traditions come from those shamanic roots. And that it's very much that understanding that we are a part of the oneness with all that is, and that we can connect to the energies of the earth and sky and be guided by them.
What's the commonality from these different shamanistic practices in different cultures around the world? Do you find some common elements among them all?
One practice that's been profoundly meaningful to me is the medicine wheel practice that I find comes— is, is still used in indigenous cultures and comes out of those ancient cultures and shamanic roots, which again is that way of holding our being part of the wholeness of all that is. The 4 directions, all of the elements, our connection with the earth and sky. But ultimately, the medicine wheel is about how do we come to center and come into that understanding that we can connect with all of these energies through our hearts and when we're in alignment with our soul selves.
So do you think we have free will? If the planets and stars are influencing us, or is it, is it more of a map than a destiny?
Well, that's a great way to frame it. I think it's a journey, and I do believe that these energies of the earth and sky are trying to guide us right now through this transformational process, but how we respond to them is our choice. These energies aren't deterministic. They're not happening to us. They'll happen through us, and we can open to them and be— you know, when I do readings with people, a lot of what I talk about is how do we open to the meaning of these energies and what they're— how they're trying to guide us and help us in our own growth and evolution. But we can choose to resist them. And I think that's part of what we're seeing on the planet right now. We're seeing more and more people awakening and moving with these energies that are calling us into this profound time of transformation. And we're seeing a lot of the backlash of those trying to cling to the patterns of the past and the power-over paradigms resisting. This shift that we're in.
How much of this transition is moving from the sort of masculine into a sort of feminine shift, which intuitively feels like part of what's happening? It's, it's not necessarily gender, but the shift in consciousness feels like we're moving into the more feminine perspective. Can you, can you give me your perspective of that?
You're saying something very dear to my heart. Yes, so much of my work is about how if we are going to make this shift, we need to reclaim the sacred feminine wisdom that has been suppressed and repressed. Part of what I realized when I studied these ancient advanced cultures is they really understood the importance of balance of the sacred masculine and the sacred feminine. And it wasn't until we really moved into the Age of Aries— about, it, it started at 3000 BCE, as at the end of the Age of Taurus, but then we fully moved into these power-over patriarchal paradigms in the Age of Aries starting around 2000 BCE. And that really has led to our imbalance and has led to our getting caught in some of these out-of-balance ways of connecting to masculine energies and the energies of Mars. So we've gotten caught in war and competition, in power over, in conflict and destruction, which is a distortion. of the sacred masculine energies, a distortion of the meaning of the energies of Mars, the ruler of Aries. But it's really showing us that to move into higher consciousness, we need to reclaim that balance, reclaim the sacred feminine wisdom, which is all about how are we in right relationship with ourselves, With each other, with all of the life around us, to move out of that illusion of separation back into relationship.
Clearly, just as an observer, it would appear that the shift to the sacred feminine has lots of resistance. It's not something that's sort of a natural free-flow thing. It's as the shift happens, those that are entrenched in that masculine perspective, fight back, resist, and do things to hold on to that masculine perspective, the one of control and manipulation. How do we, how do we make this shift? Is it inevitable, or is there things that we can do as individuals in understanding and moving along in that shift to avoid this resistance?
Yeah, and, and what you're saying is exactly right, and I think there are those who are Very invested in those power-over paradigms and really trying to cling to that. And I think part of what's important is, as we do our own individual healing work— because part of what I think we're all dealing with is, as we moved into those out-of-balance paradigms in the Age of Aries and war, power over violence, destruction— Right. We're now dealing with generations of trauma, and we need to individually and collectively heal from that trauma from the past, come back to center, come back to our hearts, reintegrate those energies of the sacred masculine and the sacred feminine, and then we can emanate that out. into the morphogenetic field. And that, I think, can help shift the world.
So yeah, let's talk about that. We can, we can utilize the morphogenetic field to create change in the world. We can emanate from ourselves. Can you speak more on what your experience or theory of utilizing emanations into the morphogenetic field into creating change on the Earth?
You know, Rupert Sheldrake talks about that, and when I studied with the Peruvian shamans, they talked a lot about that. As we live the change we want to see, we emanate that out. It then affects those around us. It really generates that healing energy into the collective consciousness, and that can then support And they felt that if there was enough of a percentage of us on the planet that do that healing work and make that shift, then the rest of humanity will shift with that transformation. So a lot of my life's work is about trying to support that.
Yeah, I love it. So it's clear that structurally and economically, There are structures in economics that are entrenched in the masculine perspective, holding on to it at all costs. This is a big mountain for us to climb. So, in your perspective, how are we going to overcome those innate structures that have been built around that masculine perspective? I hope you understand what I'm trying to say there. So, yeah.
I totally understand. And I think that part of why we're seeing them play out so intensely is because we're all feeling that we're in this time of shift. So we're actually seeing the extremes playing out on the planet right now. And I think that part of what we're seeing also is the most intense shadow aspects of humanity and of these out-of-balanced paradigms are right on the surface right now. In part so that we can face them and heal them and clear them. But I think that we are needing to do that inner work to support the outer shift. But I also think the Earth changes that we're seeing are actively calling us into seeing how we as humanity aren't superior and in control in the way that we want to fantasize that we are. I think these cosmic and solar energies are activating our pineal glands and supporting these shifts in consciousness, but I also think those who are resisting those energies are getting more and more destabilized by them. So we're actually seeing again the extremes of the shadow aspects playing out as well as more and more people awakening. But I truly believe this is a moment of where we have this chance to make a significant evolutionary shift, and that we each have a choice which timeline we want to be on. And my sense is if enough of us don't open to the shift to really shift the collective consciousness, then what we may see is a dimensional divide where those of us who are on that path of higher consciousness move into a different dimensional reality, and those who are committed to clinging to those old paradigms play them out in this third dimensional reality And go through, as happens every 12,000 years in the precessional cycle, a cataclysmic reset.
Yeah. So when looking— if you just take what your knowledge is and we look out over the next 5 years, say, what do you see happening on the planet? What sort of shift is going to happen with this understanding?
I think we are seeing such an accelerated time of change happening, and the astrological energies speak to that. I mean, we are seeing extraordinary configurations, for example, with the 3 outermost transformational planets— Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus— all in synchronization with each other, really activating this time of transformation. And I believe, and this is tied in with so much of the significance of Sirius as our binary star, and I think ancient cultures around the globe saw Orion, the constellation of Orion, as significant in our journey through the precession cycle. Amazingly enough, its declination shifts as we move through the precession cycle. So 12,000 years ago, as we were coming out of the time of our highest consciousness, the constellation Orion was closest to the Earth. Again, as the ancient Egyptians understood, it's like that energy moved among us. As we've been in the descending cycle, the declination of Orion has gotten higher and higher in the sky until it's now at its highest point. It's furthest from the Earth. And what I think is very significant is I believe we're in an incredible time of shift between March of 2025, when according to Bibhu Dev Misra, we moved out of the Kali Yuga, and June of 2032, when Uranus and Saturn will go into a very powerful conjunction in the upraised arm of Orion in the sky, which carries the symbolism of cosmic order triumphs over chaos. It's a moment for the potential of resurrection, rebirth, moving into new ways of being.
One thing that you— one practice that you teach is soul retrieval. So I'd love to get your perspective of what that is and how it works.
Soul retrieval is that shamanic understanding that when we experience trauma— and this fits with the psychological understanding that when we go through trauma, it can activate our splitting off parts of ourselves because the experience has been too painful and there hasn't been enough support to work it through in a healing way. So from that shamanic perspective, that can mean to come back into wholeness, to fully heal. We need to reclaim those lost parts of ourselves. We need to reclaim those bits of our soul self that have split off. And as we do that energetically and integrate it emotionally, then we come back into wholeness and reclaim that full sense of our true selves. It's a very, you know, part of what I love about shamanic practices is that they're working at that energetic level to then support us in integrating it at the emotional level.
Yeah. Well, it makes me think about, uh, when Castaneda taught recapitulation, which is also taught by Toltec shamans, and I've read it in other books that were not related To cast it. Clearly Castaneda got it from somewhere, uh, this idea that you go back through your past and there's all these moments that sort of have, have a little piece of essence of our soul, and we're kind of going on this treasure hunt trying to pull back parts of ourselves. And there's a lot we don't remember when we start to focus on different parts of our life. What I found interesting in the Castaneda work, he would have you just sit in a box like you're just You know, as a part of the process of recapitulation. I don't know where that came from, maybe from some other shamanic practice where you're just going back through your past all the way from the beginning and you're pulling these little things that you're not aware of back into your essence. Is that similar to what, what soul retrieval is, is doing?
Well, soul retrieval is tracking back into the past and including into past lives. What trauma has been and what split off to reclaim it. But also, I think another shamanic practice that I find very important is clearing the energetic cords that have entangled us with certain patterns or out-of-balance unhealthy relationships or situations that were traumatizing to us. that keep us caught in those patterns. So as we clear those energy cords, clear those imbalances in our chakras, reclaim those lost parts of ourselves, then we come fully back into the wholeness of who we are and our alignment with our soul selves and being fully centered in who we truly are.
So how, how would you advise in practice that we do that? We become aware I have this trauma and I've clearly left a part of myself in this place in my consciousness. So what, what process do we use to get that back?
I think it's really important at the outset to work with someone who's been trained in these shamanic practices, who really can help you track that at the energetic level and then know how to integrate it. But then when I'm teaching in my shamanic training program, I also teach people how we can connect with our spirit guides and connect with those from the other realms that can support us in that healing journey and support us in doing our own soul retrieval work.
So another interesting thing that, that you teach, and, and, um, it's Rising Moon, for people that want to, um, that, that's your school, right? It's called Rising Moon?
That's my healing center, yes.
Yeah, okay, it's healing center. Yeah, um, it's, it's, it's, it's a women's mystery school, correct? Uh, you could call it that in some, some references I've seen that.
That's one of the programs that I teach, yes.
So, um, and you work with goddess archetypes, like as you had mentioned Isis earlier and Sekhmet. Talk about that. Can I access the goddess archetypes?
Absolutely you can. All right. You know, and, and at times I teach that, um, those classes for men and women, and at times I'm teaching it for women to be able to really reclaim those lost parts of themselves to come into their wholeness. But it's— we really can work with those. You know, again, I've been so influenced by all my trips and connections to ancient Egypt, but they really understood these goddesses and gods as energies, principles of the cosmos. So as we connect with them, we're reconnecting with their energies within us and their energies in the cosmos. And they then support us in this journey of healing and coming into wholeness. But part of what's interesting, and I learned this from Oki Forrest, the Mohawk medicine woman, she used to talk about the 4 faces of the goddess in terms of the medicine wheel and how in modern Western cultures we're only allowed to access certain aspects of the sacred feminine. And that part of why I teach the Women's Mystery School programs is to help us as women reclaim all those facets of the Great Goddess, to come into the wholeness of the sacred feminine wisdom within ourselves, to then emanate it out.
So something I've talked a lot about on my channel, uh, It came from something unrelated, but it's also through Castaneda and other teachers, is the, uh, there's this energy center behind us, some that, that, that is talked about in shamanic practices, and that we, we can adjust and move around. Have you read or heard anything about this? And from your perspective, what have you heard? This sort of energy center that exists behind us in our energy field, that it corresponds with the way that we shift through dimensions and reality. Have you, have you read anything or heard anything about that?
Part of what I'm aware of that, that is related to that is, and from an acupuncture perspective, this area at the back of the neck below the skull is called the mouth of God. And ancient Chinese often would wear scarves because that's often where energies come and enter into us. And so we can be influenced by positive energies or negative energies. And I think that's also part of what's helpful about that shamanic perspective, is realizing we're navigating a world of energies and we need to take responsibility for how— what we absorb, how we work with it, how we clear energies that are out of balance. But yes, that's a very important Opening in our energy field.
So the common perspective in that from all these shamanic practices is that the energy field around us is sort of like an egg, right? That's the one thing that they all kind of share. It's a torus, a torus field. That's so, uh, and what we— it doesn't change.
So tell me what you've learned from those commonalities of how we can work with Part of what I think is so important is that in our modern Western cultures, we've gotten so caught in the physical level and the mental level, mental-emotional level. And the shamanic understanding is that we actually have these energy fields, energy bodies, and that as we work with what's in the energy field, it impacts us on a physical level. Emotionally, mentally, and physically. It's like, you know, a Russian doll, that if you work with those outer layers, it's impacting the inner layers. And we— when we work at those spiritual and energetic levels, then it helps us shift in our whole being. And Alberto Villoldo used to talk about this a lot. That if you're dealing with something at the physical level, work it at the mental-emotional level. If you're dealing with something at the emotional level, work it at the energetic level. Always work it at the level above that to help reshape it, heal it, and bring you back into wholeness.
So the, the main perspective I, that I teach through my channel, a lot of people are interested in changing their reality. And to me, this is sort of an advanced sort of magic that people are using to change their reality. There's some complexity to it. But if someone were to come to you and say, hey, I want to change my reality, I want, I want to live in a new house or a new town or find some new love or heal, what do you say from your perspective, the things you've learned and how someone can change or create their reality?
All of these ways that we're talking about I think, you know, working energetically, working shamanically, working spiritually can remind us that this external reality is a reflection of our inner reality. Everything mirrors everything else. So we get too caught up in what we want to change out there when the transformation needs to begin within ourselves. And I believe the more that we can do that inner work to move out of alignment with our ego and our personality self into alignment with our soul self, then we're in tune with the energies of the earth and sky and cosmos. Then we're, as the Hopis describe it, we're in that river and letting the river of energy carry carry us rather than fighting the currents or feeling caught in that illusion of control that comes from our ego.
What would you say the common element from what you've learned, as how they would describe it, the unseen world, the afterlife beyond this world is like? What, what have you taken from that? What is your concept of it?
One of the practices that we did in the Healing the Light Body program was journeying beyond the veil, facing our own death. And, and I think all the ancient mystery traditions were about face your fear of death, allow yourself to experience that you're an infinite, infinite being having this human experience. And when we really can face that, we realize that beyond this physical death is the realm of cosmic consciousness that is all about love and the wisdom of the cosmos, that I think then supports us in healing whatever we need to heal at that soul level, to then decide whether we're going to be coming back into this lifetime to continue to work more From a larger perspective, what would you say?
Is there levels of consciousness that move beyond this one? Are we in one level? A lot of different schools, channelings, you know, have always argued that, hey, we're in one level and then we graduate and move to another. From your perspective, how does consciousness look? Are there levels of consciousness that we're moving through? Yes, there are.
One book that I love is Barbara Hand Clow's book, The Alchemy of the Nine Dimensions.
Yes.
That's a great book. And I think she so beautifully describes our multidimensionality and how we can work with those different dimensional states. And part of what we've been caught in is the illusion of just being in this third-dimensional reality. And I think part of what we're working right now collectively is the fourth, the fourth dimensional reality, which is about thought and emotion. But the shift we're trying to make is into fifth dimensional reality when we come back to our hearts, and it's through our hearts that we connect to the wisdom of the cosmos and the oneness of all that is. And that opens the door then to all of the other dimensions.
So on a practical level, how, how does this affect you? What is your daily spiritual practice? What are, what are you doing on a daily basis utilizing what you've learned?
My daily practice is I walk in the woods and walk with my spirit guides and attune to the energies of the natural world, which I think is so trying to support us as humanity in coming back into balance. And then I come back and meditate, and I every day work with the medicine wheel to align with the energies of those directions, which carry a deeper meaning to me about how we're connecting with those different aspects of our healing journeys and how to connect to those directions but ultimately come to center. And I meditate then, coming to the center of the medicine wheel, which is the zero point. That is the place where we're connected to the oneness of all that is, down to the core of the Earth, up to the galactic center, aligned with our soul selves And that's the place from which I begin my day.
So you mentioned that you are regularly interacting and also teaching others about working with your spirit guides. Somebody watching right now wants to interact with their spirit guides. How can they go about doing that?
I love doing shamanic classes where we learn how to do shamanic journeying, and then you can journey to the lower world and connect to your animal guides. You can journey to the upper world and connect to your spirit guides. They're there for, for us. They're always with us. We just have to remember how to open our connection to them again and our remembrance of them. But another way that I think is really powerful is we are so being guided by synchronicities. Some of the experiences that have been most transformational for me have been encounters with plants who spoke to me and radically brought healing to me. And a time when I was going through a particularly intense, dark time in my life, very depressed, I had these repeated experiences of an owl showing up. I'd walk in the woods in the middle of the day, which is so unusual, and an owl would be in the tree staring at me. I'd come back from my walk mid-morning and there'd be an owl sitting in my backyard. And I realized, oh, this is such a profound animal ally trying to bring me the wisdom in the time of the darkness.
Yeah.
And to trust that I'm in a transformation process.
I really feel like there are higher dimensional beings that appear as animals, uh, along my way. I— when I read the, the Law of One channelings and the history of that, they, they would have a falcon and an owl show up, and they knew that it was these beings that were showing up there to support them. Uh, and it's fascinating that you had that experience. I do feel like the animals around us are not what we think a lot of times. Something feels a little bit different that we're interacting with these animals and they show up, especially unusual ones that are not supposed to be, you know, an owl may not usually show up in that situation, but suddenly it's just sitting there, right?
I think that's absolutely true. And another experience I had when I was going through this intense time of change in my life where I had this mystical experience where this voice within me said, you need to leave your life as you know it or you will die. And I ended up literally reconfiguring my whole life, but going through absolute anxiety about what am I doing.
Yeah.
And not very many people understood what I was doing. And, and this was long before I knew anything about shamanism. But every time I would be overwhelmed with anxiety and walk out into this little garden behind my house, this female hummingbird would come and hover literally right in front of my face. And she just kept returning over and over again. And I, I realized she was bringing me that comfort and trust. You're guided, you're safe, you're supported. And I didn't know until years later when I was studying Peruvian shamanism that the deeper meaning for them of hummingbird is follow your path of destiny with joy. Wow.
So a lot of people associate shamanistic practice with the use of plant medicines and psychedelics. What is your perspective on that? Can those play a role in shifting our consciousness?
Absolutely. And I've had some very profound experiences with ayahuasca In particular. But I think what's important is to approach those experiences with plant medicines with deep reverence and respect. You know, the— before I had my first ayahuasca experience, I spent a month connecting to the spirit of ayahuasca, to be connecting with that ally and that spirit. and attuning to her to be in right relationship with her. And I think we have to be careful that we don't use those sacred medicines in the way that we often do in our modern Western culture and use them in an inappropriate and disrespectful way.
Yeah, you hear story of people that are doing ayahuasca without a shaman, without the experienced, and that scares me. Like, you really need to have someone This is a dangerous ingredient. If you have somebody that needs to guide you, and it's like walking in into a vast area blindfolded and not— you need to have somebody guide you that takes you through that. So, you know, I know there are people out there that are, hey, hey, your friend down the street said you can go try this. Find a shaman that can guide you. I promise you that your experience will be much more Uh, you know, enjoyable and impressive. That's at least— wouldn't you say?
I totally agree with you, Brian. In fact, I think it can be very dangerous to do it without that safe container and without that support. It can be very destabilizing, and I've known people that have gone psychotic because they're just not prepared and they don't know what they're getting into, and then they have no support to deal with it.
Yeah. So you have another book coming. The book coming out is Astrological Ages and the Galactic Center. That released in March, right? Are you working on a new one? Do you have a new book coming?
The book I'm working on right now is based on the teaching that I do on Aquarian shamanic astrology, really trying to look at how astrology is shifting as we're moving into the Aquarian Age, and again, how we can reclaim a connection to the consciousness of the stars and planets and come back into relationship with them.
So your other books I would recommend for everybody is, uh, From Trauma to Freedom, uh, um, Higher Vibrational Living, uh, and the, the book that— Astrological Ages in the Galactic Center is amazing. If people want to find you, they can find you at risingmoonhealingcenter.com. Is that right?
That's right. And also on my YouTube channel.
Okay. And, and the best place to find the YouTube channel is just look up, uh, Heather Ensworth. Is that correct? And they can find it. All right. And so, and, uh, it's been a real honor. I'm sure there's a million questions that will come to my mind as soon as we're done, but, uh, thank you for honoring this wisdom and pulling it through. I think there's just not enough scholars that are, uh, that are pulling through this shamanistic wisdom. We need people like you to continue to do this. So thank you for bringing that perspective. Do you have any events coming up, anything else that, that, that people can know about, anything that people can participate in?
I do have some classes coming up, and they're listed on my website, so people can check them out there. But thank you, Brian. It's been great to be in conversation with you, and I have such respect for you and your work and what you're doing in this time also.
Thank you so much for joining. And Heather, welcome to the Reality Revolution. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
