A genie grants two wishes. The first makes all guns vanish, but violence continues through other means. The second wish eliminates violence itself. The lesson: aim for root causes, not surface symptoms.

Imagine if you will, I found my genie in a bottle. I was given one wish. I said, "I wish all the guns in the world would disappear." And they did. But then I noticed a problem. We still had violence. There was still killing. There were still people beating each other to death with their hands and rocks and knives and cars and all sorts of horrible things. And I was lucky enough the genie came back and said, "Okay, Brooke, obviously you screwed this one up. What would you like? What would be your other wish?" And I realized after seeing that what I really wanted was for there to be no more violence. And it happened. And there was no more violence. People had guns and knives and hands and cars and everything in the past that they had been hurting each other with. But now, because there was no more violence, it didn't matter that they had all of these things. So if you ever have a wish and you find your genie in a bottle, please make the right call.
