Ta-da! I'm live just like that. Although I probably should just pre-record it and put this up because it's not a scheduled thing. But anyway, hey everyone, Brooke Cheney from Great Start Shooting School. Obviously you know that because you're either on my YouTube channel or on my Facebook page. So, um, there's that, and there's a sign here and there's one there. Hey G-Webs, how are you, sir? Oh wait, I got a new gun today. I know, not a new gun, sorry. I got a new book today in the mail. I think G23 sent this to me. What, are you so excited about the fact that you got first thumbs up, or— I don't even know if it's really happening, but yes, it's really happening. Or is it just because you're first? I don't know. Anyway, um, hey DJ, I owe you a phone call. Like I said, I'm just done. Oh wait, so you like this book? You appreciate— I'm, I'm 90% sure this is GT3 sending this to me because they don't come with any like notes or anything. It's just like, here it is. But I'm pretty sure this is supposed to get here around May, so I haven't read it yet. All right, so updates. It's exciting, it's crazy. Oh yeah, I forgot to go over here so I can share my screen with you guys. But I have a brand new website. We're still have— oh, it's Guns and Barbecue. See, this is what I have to do to get you here. I have to not schedule stuff and then you will show up. So yeah, I am 99.100% sure that that is because yes, Barbecue, it is the Glock book. So yeah, and, um, but yeah, I didn't do like an unboxing or anything because like I said, I didn't even know. So, alrighty then. So updates, fun and excitement stuff. Um, I know DJ probably called me to remind me to schedule my Suicide Prevention Saturday since I'm a slacker and I haven't done that yet. I got all excited about Mario coming on the 20— I haven't changed my calendar yet— the 21st, the night before I go to Aiming for Zero. I thought that was like perfect timing kind of thing, and he had time for that. But I have a brand new website that just came out. Um, why won't it let me share screen? Oh, there it is. Uh, so I just want to share with you guys real quick, um, make it all about my website, not about me, and make it a little bit bigger because I don't know, everything renders a little bit odd. So here it is, my handy dandy brand new website. Um, not that anything was terribly wrong with my first website, but it's just kind of exciting that we've updated. I've got my happy little students right here. Um, and this was actually a training camp, but it's okay. So it's just kind of cool. By all means, go ahead and go check it out if you would like. I think at some point we are— we're, we're updating it still currently. It's still a work in progress because for right now, if you wanna schedule a private lesson, you click on here and you go to my previous— you just pick your, your date and stuff. And it opens a new window so you can go back to mine. But the other stuff is kind of cooler because if you go to the pistol permit class, you can like get in here and see all about it. So anyway, this is my update. Thank you, Fiona. Oh, have you been to the new website yet? Um, um, I don't know if you— I know I haven't seen you in a bit. I mean, I saw you— oh, and I'm going to see you next month, which is only a day away. So I'm kind of excited about my new website. It's cleaner, it's easier, I think, for people to find stuff. It's not crazy. Um, oh, you can read a new bio about me if you like. So it's sort of interesting because it even mentions somewhere down here about Suicide Prevention Saturdays and that sort of stuff. So, but yeah, so this is kind of my big update. Down at the bottom it says get updates on upcoming class availability. This is a new thing. I haven't done any what are those called, newsletters or anything yet. I'm not going to become a spammer or anything along those lines, but I will try to give you actually email updates and everything. Um, thank you, GUS. I am excited. Like I said, it's so much cleaner, and I'm really hoping it's a lot easier for my students to find what they're looking for. I've got new business cards coming out that match the website. It's like I'm all matchy-matchy and all new. So yeah, it's Friday night. I didn't know I should be working or being in front of a computer, but here we are anyway. Go figure. So what is going on? So the month of May is jam-packed. June is also kind of busy as well. So month of May, next weekend I am closed for Saturday. However, I am holding— oh, look at DJ's getting all fancy. Like, although only in YouTube can you all click on that, but you can see it if you're on Facebook. Um, so let's see, next weekend is Mother's Day, and because it's already the second Sunday of May, and I am having a pistol permit class, and I think I have one seat open still, but one of my students, it's also her 50th birthday, so it's going to be kind of fun. So I'm excited about me as a mom teaching other moms on Mother's Day how to get their pistol permits. So I see I've got some quality control going on. Thank you, DJ. And yes, we, I think we fixed all of them. I don't know, I haven't clicked through all of them, but we've gotten most of them fixed, I believe. So Mother's Day class a week from Sunday. My kid turned 16 on Sunday, this Sunday the 1st. So, but I'm excited about my pistol permit class on Mother's Day. This week, next weekend, my husband and I are going to the GOP convention. To try to decide who we think should be our next governor and senators and all that fun stuff. So Friday and Saturday, ooh. So see you Saturday. We'll probably be from the hotel room, maybe. I don't know. It might be on the road. We'll have to see how that all goes. Um, Gwebs, is this your hint that I'm supposed to make you a moderator? I just forget these things. I can make you a moderator. I will. Um, just send me the email so I remember because I'm never on YouTube anymore because I'm always here on, um, StreamYards. Why don't go in there to make you give you your little wrench? So, but I will give you a wrench if you would like a wrench. So, um, so that's next weekend is GOP and Mother's Day permit class. Super excited about that because it's going to be a Mother's Day slash birthday party, uh, permit class. So that should be fun. Uh, what else is coming up? There's so much. Oh, tomorrow I'm on the Weekly Bullet, uh, for the Second Amendment Foundation at 1 PM.. So I am also doing that, um, as well. That's tomorrow. That's only— yeah, so 1 o'clock tomorrow I will be on Second Amendment Foundation Weekly Bullet. Um, convention— oh, if you're here in Connecticut, Women's Expo is going to be May 14th and 15th. I'll be down there. We're splitting my booth, so it's half DC Project, half A Great Start Shooting School. So there's supposed to be thousands of women there.. And looking forward to seeing that. Hey, C&T, how are you? What else, what else, what else? Oh, and then of course Aiming for Zero. So first weekend in May, convention, Mother's Day pistol permit class, totally stoked. Gonna be so much fun. Women's Expo on the 14th and 15th in Bridgeport, Connecticut at the what was Webster Arena Theater and they've renamed it. Um, then the 21st is going to be my special guest on Suicide Prevention Saturday, Mario Mosin. And then on the 22nd of May is going to be Aiming for Zero. So that will be my competition weekend. Now, because we talked about competition weekend, um, that's also going to be why next week I'm going to start doing another dry fire series. Now I learned my lesson though. I'm not going to do every night with you guys. We're going to pick one night. It's probably going to be Monday or Thursday because those are the dates I don't usually having— I don't usually have other meetings that conflict in the evenings. And Fiona, it is up to you if you want to come here and then we will drive down together. I'm going to be down there Friday night, Friday afternoon to set up. And then you can meet me at the house Saturday morning. You're doing Saturday and Holly's doing Sunday. So that's totally up to you. If you want an escape hatch, then no, you don't want to drive down with me. If you want to stay the entire time that I'm there, then yeah, you can drive down with me. And yes, the Active Heroes Organization holds the Aiming for Zero and that's where all the money goes. Um, oh, what else, what else? I think that's everything. I think that's all my big fancy updates that I'm all excited. Um, it's finally, um, warm and I'm finally off crutches, like solidly off crutches, even though I can't run or sprint or anything like that. I had 4 students, 3 brand new ones yesterday. I've got 2 brand new ones today. I got another new one tomorrow. So that's always fun. Oh yes. And my instructor interview series is getting closer to being done. I do have to throw the teasers out for that. I did interview number 6 today. I just need 4 more, which will be at some point after a Girl and a Gun conference, which is happening this weekend. They're all out in Colorado. And a lot of my friends who are instructors were doing that and said after Girl and Gun conference, they would give me their time so I can get to 10. And then I will start a 10-week series on, um, interviewing instructors because I want all my new students and stuff to understand no one just picked up a gun and knew how to do it. And even though I can make it look easy now, there was a time when I'm like, I don't want to touch this thing because I just don't know. Um, you're already really good at shooting now because of the first series though, so I don't need more practice. Awesome. I'm glad those 8 lessons were good enough to make you good now. And even though they don't have a sarcasm font, I'm really hoping that that's what Pete means when— yeah, because one of the things I always tell my students actually is that if you really get into shooting, it becomes addicting because you know you can always be better than you are. Like, if you really get into it, it's one of those things where it's like If you shoot a group that's this big at 10 feet, it's amazing because you're excited because you hit the target. And then you get to practice, and then you get that group down like this at 10 feet, and then it gets smaller. And at 10 feet, you're like, oh my God, this is so awesome. And then we take the target and move it back to 15, and your group goes back to this. So, um, yeah, no matter how good you are— like, Jerry Miculek is one of the most famous shooters I know, And he's always practicing to get better. And it's just like, if Jerry's still practicing and Lena's still practicing and Kay is still practicing, we definitely need to know. All right, DJ, remind me which links you want me to put in there and I will happily put the links in the description or just the ones that you already posted. I will try to do that. But yeah. Oh, and Fiona, I have been talking about you like crazy lately. I keep saying, yeah, it's really nice usually to start all students out on a 22. I have this one girl, she loves 45. So you and G-Webs, you're happy together. No, um, G-Webs thinks 9 is stupid, so there's that. So, um, but yeah, it's— you can always be better, always be better. Um, yes, and I, I was, I was definitely talking about you in a positive manner in that it's just like, to me, Fiona here is one of my students. She just started last year with me. She's been with me about a year and a half, and she's— she got the bug, and she got it bad. She got it hard. It was like one of those things where, um, how do I say this? It's like I've never had a student who went from 22 to 9 to 45 to a small grouping of firearms in such a short amount of time. And part of it is because, um, she won a lot. She's a very lucky girl and she wins gun raffles like crazy. So Fiona's around, don't even bother buying tickets, she's probably gonna win. And yes, barbecue, I definitely think— oh wait, wait, oh my bad, I thought for sure you had a.45, but I'm sorry, G Webs, maybe she's not as perfect as I thought. She's got a.40. Um, so, all right, so anyway, yes, DJ, I will do my best because I actually have to remember after lives to go on and I have to edit them so that YouTube knows they're not for children, and then the, um, chat will actually show up because I didn't realize. Um, so yes, I know, not yet. I know you'll have a.45 and I know you'll enjoy shooting your.45 when you have it. Um, so there is that. All right, so I know I said like 10 minutes ago, oh, I think that's it, I think that's it. But recap real quick, we're on interview 6 of my instructor interview pages, and I am looking forward to getting that out hopefully within the next 2 or 3 weeks because I have at least 2 more that told me after conference, actually maybe 3 more. So I think I've got 3 more lined up before I can. But if I get to 9 and I only have 1 left, I will start rolling out the instructor thing. Weekly Bullet tomorrow, 1:00 PM Eastern. I'll be on there. Second Amendment Foundation. And what else? What else? GOP Mother's Day weekend pistol permit. It's going to be super fun. Women's Expo in Bridgeport, May 14th and 15th. If you're in Connecticut, come visit me and Fiona on Saturday. Me and Holly on Sunday. And oh, my daughter's agreed to work with me that weekend. So even her, both Saturday and Sunday. And then Aiming for Zero the 22nd and Suicide for Rich Saturday with Mario Mosin on the 21st of May. So I think my— I know my calendar for May is like overwhelmingly booked. So I am making special arrangements for all of my new students and I'm putting you in on days that aren't schedulable. On my regular stuff. So, um, that is also fun. All right, I don't think— yes, you love your 40. Yes, so you'll still love your 45. And you shot my 45, maybe that's why I thought you had a 45. Um, oh, PN Woods has joined us. So, um, done, done. All right, for real, adios all. Have a lovely Friday evening. Enjoy um, the rest of your weekend. I will be working with my new students tomorrow, bonus, um, on the Weekly Bullet, also cool. And then tomorrow night, yes, I will be doing Suicide Prevention Saturday because that's what we do on Saturday nights at 9 o'clock. And I think that's everything. Good night all, see you around. See you tomorrow at 1, maybe on Daily Bullet, maybe, or Weekly Bullet. Maybe I'll see you tomorrow night, Suicide Prevention Saturday, 9 PM. Love to see any of you who are all in person, uh, in the area. So adiós, amigos and amigas, and I will see you all later.
