Brooke Cheney, a mother of two toddlers, learned to shoot and founded A Great Start Shooting School after guns in her home made her realize she needed firearm education. She attended competitions and training courses to gain confidence and competence, prioritizing family safety.
Imagine, if you will, a house full of guns, and then there are children in the house running around. What would you do? As a mom of two small toddlers, I realized I needed to find a way to make sure myself and my children were safe in our own home. So I decided to get education. I started going to competitions. I started going to training. And I learned because there was nothing more important to me than my family's safety. I love knowing how to control and handle a firearm. It gives me great confidence, and once I had that confidence, I then desired to share it with others, and that is why I opened A Great Start Shooting School.
