Brooke Cheney at Great Start Shooting School explains when to reschedule for weather. Clients within 30 minutes shouldn't reschedule for rain or snow since forecasts are often wrong. Those farther away should confirm conditions the morning of, and wear sturdy boots for muddy ground under the range's shelter.

Hi, welcome to Great Start Shooting School. This is our range. Today we're going to talk about weather. A lot of times my students give me a call and say, "Hey Brooke, it's going to rain tomorrow," or "It's going to snow tomorrow," or "It's going to be cold," or this and that. I have found we live in New England, and as much respect as I have for weathermen, they are not always right. So rescheduling due to weather. If you live 30 minutes or less, I suggest that we do not reschedule for weather, because I'd say about 50/50 of the time when I reschedule for weather, we end up like this, because right now it's supposed to be raining. So if you live more than 30 minutes away, we can at least have the conversation the night before, but really we should verify in the morning to find out if it's worth rescheduling or not. Our schedules are always very busy, You scheduled this time to be here. I scheduled this time for you to be here, and you may not get another time that works as well for you. So being in New England, if it's cold and wet and muddy and it's your first time here, then yes, probably we'll reschedule. However, if you've been here before, you know we have an overhang here, so we have shelter. The one thing about that is if it's been raining down here can get muddy, so you just have to make sure that you're wearing good boots for the mud. Other than that, there's no reason for us to reschedule due to weather. So if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment, give me a call, whatever works for you. Thanks, and hope to see you soon.
