Oh, it says I'm live. Normally I'm on StreamYard, so this is a little bit different because I'm just on YouTube. All right, hi everyone! What is today? Today is Monday, and I have good news and bad news. It's all good news, really. So my goal was to dry fire every single day between sometime in July all the way up until, uh, the 25th of August. It's going to be a little bit over 30 days. And the deal was if I missed it, I was going to donate $100. Well, today I donated $100 because yesterday the weekend had been crazy. Uh, my Saturday, shockingly enough, I did get my dry fire in, but I started my day at 9 o'clock with my students. I had a fundraiser I went to, then I had the Flight Psych podcast, then I did Suicide Prevention Saturday. And then I did my dry fire and that was Saturday. So I got it in there, but then Sunday I was teaching all day and I was exhausted. Oh, and I'm getting ready for a fundraiser that I'm throwing and it didn't get done. So I am a woman of my word. However, I'm having a problem donating my $100, but that's okay. Um, I will get to it. I will get it done. So Mario, they're going to be getting $100. And I thought I had the link up here, but I don't. But what I do have is Tara Smith's Kitchen. So since she was talking about me on her page, I'm gonna throw her, her, uh, link up over there. All right, let's talk about IDPA Classifier. This is the thing that I've been shooting to measure what my dry fire is doing. And last time, my total, uh, stuff was in Marksman. And let's explain what that means. So here's the deal. In IDPA, we have different classes of firearms, and the classifier I'm shooting is called Stock Service Pistol, and it's SSP on this handy-dandy little thing here. I'm sorry, it's all backwards for y'all. Um, so SSP, or maybe it's only backwards I'm looking at it. I don't know, maybe it's right side up for you., and we have ranges of times that decide what category you're in. So across the top is what type of gun you are shooting: ESP, SSP, CDP, CCP, revolver, or bug gun. And I'm shooting SSP. Then here it says what kind of shooter are you, or what are the categories that we go into. And so we have novice, which is basically anyone who shows up and has a time less than what the marksmen are. So for SSP, marksman goes from 41.6 seconds all the way down to 32.41 seconds. My last time was 2 seconds away from the next, um, thing, which is sharpshooter, which is SS. And if I get my time down to 32.4 from 34.7 Um, then I go to the next class of shooters, which is Sharpshooter. Then we have Expert, and then we have Master. A Master is smoking fast, without a doubt. So this is the way that we measure ourselves in IDPA. USPSA is a whole bunch of different other math that I'm actually no good at, so don't ask me questions. Go to USPSA sites. Um, but basically you want to get as many points as you can as fast as you can. So this is what I've been practicing for. What is today? Today's Monday. Perhaps tomorrow I will go shoot this again because basically I've been shooting this once every other week so that my, um, dry fire has a chance to go ahead and get a little bit better, a couple more reps, all of that. I was in a couple different chats today. Uh, C&T Design was there and he was definitely— hey, Gizzard! Hi! Sorry, I'm like, I don't know how to make this if your thing goes up, if that's on my screen here. But anyway, Gizzard Gary is here on YouTube because I'm only on YouTube. Um, sorry, so I was on a couple chats and like C&T Designs was saying how that he wishes he did more dry fire, and I'm like, no matter how much dry fire you do, it always feels like you need to do more. Um, and that is kind of it. So Gizzard, I know you just got here, but the short version of this— I mean, it's only 5 minutes at this point— but the short version is I missed my dry fire yesterday. I'm donating the $100 to Mario's, um, charity, which I was really planning on doing anyway, but I'm just doing it sooner because I didn't get to August 25th. And I do have to look at the calendar because I just don't know off the top of my head. So the good news is the win part is a veteran's charity gets $100. Uh, the good news also is, is I missed a day. I haven't missed a ton of days. I missed a day. And I did already do my dry fire today. So that's why I say it's a win-win. So that is my itty-bitty live. And I'm going to take off because, because it's time to go to bed. Cause I'm one of those people, 9 o'clock, I should have my head on my pillow already. But Gizzard, thanks for popping in. Like I said, over at Tara Smith's Kitchen, she is currently cooking hobo stew. And garlic soup were the two things that I saw when I was over there not that long ago. All right, sir, it's nice seeing you. Uh, like, share, subscribe. I think you guys have all done that, and I will talk to you when I talk to you. Bye, guys.
