Business brain episode 673 for Casual Fried AI August 8th International Beer Day 2025. Perfect. Greetings folks and welcome to Business Brain, the show where we take a few ideas, we crunch them, we dissect them, we use them to tune our business brains so that we can each keep on living those charmed lives. Our sponsors for this episode include mintmobile.com businessbrain. That's where you can go to get their new customer offer which is a three month unlimited wireless plan for just 15 bucks a month. This is the service that Shannon and I use. We'll talk more about that in a little bit. And speaking of services that Shannon uses, I don't use this one yet, but Eversight.com BB is where you can go to to get your own in house web team, all pro managed, no stress. And Shannon is a customer of theirs too.
I am.
We'll talk about that in a little bit. For now, here in Durham, New Hampshire I'm Dave Hamilton.
And in Lafayette, California, I'm still Shannon Gene.
That's great.
How you doing, man?
I'm good, I'm good.
Awesome.
I hear we're going to try a little project today which might be a disaster.
Yeah, we're going to build. Have you seen that meme lately where the jet pilot is, is he's flying up in the air and he's his helmet and everything on and he's holding a book and it's like how to fly a jet. This is going to be the, this is going to be the same way. Yeah, yeah.
So we're going to build a business brain today, right?
We, we're going to attempt to build a business brain.
Okay.
Friend, friend of mine, Chris Corner, who's crazy popular, he put together using deli AI. We've talked about deli on the show.
Okay.
And he's linked a ton of his content up there to create basically like a Chris GPT where you can ask your questions and he'll give you, it'll give you feed back based on his philosophies, his action, all the things that he has shared. And I thought, wow, you know, this would be great to create a real business brain brain. Right. Based on.
We've got a decade plus of content in, in our podcast. Oh man.
Yeah. And I think it would be fascinating for us to be able to, us and our listeners to be able to go up to a, you know, an AI and ask questions and have it come back and answer based on the content and the, all the things and tips and strategies, tactics that we, as well as all our guests over the years have shared.
I love this. Okay. So, yeah, I mean, I love the idea. I want to see if we can get it to. To get built. And then once it's built, obviously, let's see what it. How it does. Right? Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
So we have created. And this is Obviously, we know 96% of our audience listens to the show, so you're. We know that you're not seeing what we're seeing as we're creating this. We are putting this out on as we do every episode, a video on YouTube. And so you can watch us do this, but we're going to do our best to. To describe this. Yeah, we'll talk. Yeah. We've talked about Delphi AI in the past. And. And it can do this. We know that it will, theoretically. Anyway, take our podcast feed. We've already signed up for the $99 a month account because that's what we know we need to do this. So we're kind of marching through and it's asking us what our full name is, and I'm going to just say the Business Brain podcast.
Business Brain.
Yep. And I'll say that we work at Business Brain. Great, Perfect.
And see what else it sticks up.
Finding our profile. I don't know that it needs. I could have done what that means we did. You know, we could have. Yeah, we could have done some of this ahead of time, but that's okay. So it's trying to find our profile.
Like I said, we're. We're tiptoeing on the slack line right now, and that's. Does not look like you, right?
No, it's asking me if I'm some other person. Do you have a LinkedIn profile? I'm just gonna say we're gonna create our digital mind. Well, now it's. This is the right thing. It's saying you can. It's either me that it thinks it found on LinkedIn, which is obviously wrong, or we can create your digital mind from scratch. And so I love that that's what we're gonna do.
Yep.
Yep. So professional headline is required. Business Brain podcast from Perfect Gene and Dave Hamilton. I'm already worried that this is the wrong thing for us because this very much wants us to. This is treating us like we're a single human.
It does. Yeah. Business. Yeah.
This might not be the right engine, but. But let's see what happens.
Yeah. We got to get past this profile.
Okay. We got to use identity verification. Oh, wait, I see a Skip here. Okay.
Oh, great. Nice to meet you.
It wants to give me perfect Business brain. Actually, I'm going to make business brain. Let's see if we can get business brain as the handle. Yes. Okay, great.
Oh, yes.
Great.
I'm not going to refine it.
What do you want to use Delphi for? Okay, so now it's asking me.
Should be a podcast.
Nah, this is. No, we're still. We're still in the onboarding for people that don't know what they want to do with this yet. We're going to create a business brain from our podcast and we'll see what happens here. What do people ask?
Keep going.
Just going to skip past this. It's calibrating our mind. Okay.
There we go.
So, okay, now we need to pull in. It's got integration files, links, text or podcasts. No, no, because it needs to do identity verification and all this stuff. So we will create this.
Yeah, we'll do it offline.
Yeah. Well, it's not obvious how we can do this. Okay.
Okay.
Yeah, unfortunately, we have to do that offline, I think.
Yeah. You. You have to have the RSS feed URL of the podcast, which I have for sure. Well, when you hit import, did it add.
No, it's just telling it me I can import from CSV. So there.
Yeah, that's not right. Which is not right. Yeah. No. Okay, well, we'll play around with this and when the next time you come back for Friday, I will have it dialed in and we'll play around. We'll talk about how. Yeah, we got it set up and how we did it. But in the meantime.
Yep. I have a couple other things the same. I do too. I. I have one quick one that I learned from Chat GPT. I was talking about negotiating something with it. Oh, that. That whole contract that we talked about last week. In fact, you know, I Talked. Which was 100% successful with adding or changing the clause on that. That venue agreement. It was like smooth butter. It.
That's great.
Chat GPT said something to me that I thought. I mean, it's obvious advice, but you know how obvious advice is. The more professional and measured you are, the more leverage you keep.
Oh, I. So less emo, less emotion, more just. Just straight to the facts.
Yep. The more leverage you keep. And like this is. This is advice for life, at least for me.
Yes.
I'm a pretty animated person and I can get. You know, we talked on Wednesday about when I'm like the. The follower on a project or not the leader. I this is true. The. The more I. The more. The more measured I am, the less emphatic I am with the. With the ideas that I share. The more people listen, the more leverage I keep.
It's very. Yeah, I like it.
Very interesting.
That's cool. I like that. Yeah, that's interesting.
I do have another piece of negotiating advice that's been happening via text message. While we've been recording here, my band was offered to play a show last minute thing on Saturday night. And we are unavailable. I am actually unavailable, which they knew, like. Yeah, but we always ask because things, especially last minute, can easily change. This one I don't think is going to change, but, you know, so it came into our band leader and he asked the band, hey, you know, I think we're out, but just checking. And I said, yeah, I'm out. I'll explain more later. And he wrote back. He says, okay, yeah, no problem. And he said, what I'm going to do is. It was like somebody saying, we need to fill a slot last minute for this thing. If you're interested, I can put you in touch with the booking people at the. At the club. Right.
Or whatever.
At this venue.
Sure.
And so what Tom's going to do is say, yes, we're interested, and get introduced to the booking people at the venue. Yes.
And then see where this is going.
Inform them that he has heard that we are unfortunately unavailable. But on that date. We're unavailable. But, you know, we have future dates.
Love to play with you at some time in the future. Smart.
I like really smart.
Why. Why waste that contact?
Why burn? Yes.
Yeah.
Why waste it? Yeah. You're not burning it, but you're. Yeah, no waste. Y.
Take advantage of it. I love it. I love it.
All right, we have other things to. To discuss, too. I think we have other.
Yes, we do.

So I have Wanted to tie my or connect my ChatGPT to my Google Drive.
Yeah.
Forever.
Okay.
And looking at it and I also have.
Why Can I, can I just ask why you want to connect it? I, I mean, I know you have a good reason. I just want to give people. Yeah.
I want to be able to mine the date, mine the data better. I want to be able to, to query and find statistical information about what's in there. What I use the most. What's the most? I have one question, I asked what's the most valuable thing in my drive and it shocked me. What it came up to. I'll tell you in a minute.
Yeah.
And then just access. I want to go, hey, go dig through this and find this information for me. So I thought, well, it'll be easier for me to access and it will put it in a format that's maybe a little bit more useful for me. At the same time, I need to bring in a couple of team members to help me manage and things. So I said, okay, I'm going to go to the team plan.
Got it. Okay.
I upgrade to the team plans. 30 bucks a month per seat.
And you needed, you needed the team plan in order to connect to your Google Drive, obviously, as well as included as well. Got it. Okay.
So I thought, okay, that's worth it. Would I have done it just if I needed that? Maybe not, but I need to get it. If you Pay annually, it's 25 bucks per seat. If you do monthly, it's 30 bucks. And so I do it and then it, it indexes your entire Google Drive, everything that's ever been in there. And you can pull up information about it, you can create reports from it. You can pull statistical information about spreadsheets and about all kinds of stuff. Really. I really found it valuable. It's pretty cool. I like it. But the thing to understand is the team account is not related to your personal account and it, you can, it's not quite as easy as you may think to transfer data from your personal GPT account to a team account.
So you have now two chat GPT accounts. You have your personal on the plus plan or whatever and then a teams account.
My business.
Yeah, I see.
And it did answer the question because I have a lot of stuff in there that I would consider like, well, maybe I wouldn't share with a team.
Yeah.
With everybody that's working. So I get it. So that's why. So I did the, you know, two member and I'm like, well, I'll just start month to Month to see what happens. So 60 bucks a month.
Sure.
And we'll figure it out. So it, it points it out very right in your face. Hey, if you don't, don't delete that stuff because if you shut down your old account, you're not going to have access to it. You can, we'll help you export it if you want to. Sure.
Okay.
Links. So you can get access to it. But I just thought it was pretty interesting. I wanted to use it. I wanted to be sure the people that I work, that work with me have access to agents and to data that I have in my Google Drive that they use all the time. Yeah. So it's cool. It's just a little nuance to it that, that, you know, the other thing just for I thought was kind of interesting is I've been using, I've been using Grok more and more.
Oh yeah.
And I. Last night for the first time I played with the GROK Imagine, which is their graphic creator type thing.
Okay.
And while I, I don't believe it's as sophisticated as some of the other image generation tools, in fact, I've used it and I just, I just don't think it is. One thing that does really well and really quick is it can animate old photographs, which is pretty interesting. And if you take an old picture. I don't know if I can share. Let me share this with you, Dave, and maybe you can share it.
Okay.
It's just kind of interesting. Copy. I'll dump it into our slack here.
All right.
And we'll see if you can get it.
I'll see if I can put it up in the YouTube thing.
Yeah, see if you can get it up. Yeah, it's, it's. No, it's like a gif. I think you can probably get it on the thing. So it's up in your, your slack. This is a picture of my, me and my future wife from about 30.
Okay.
30 some odd years ago, but now it's a video and it's. It, it's pretty interesting. It's not perfect. It doesn't quite look like us.
Sure.
Once it starts moving around.
Got it.
It's kind of cool. And I. If you have a premium plus account on X, you get access to Grok at no additional charge.
Okay.
And it's pretty good. I thought it was kind of interesting. So. Yeah, here's. Yeah. See, that does not look like my wife, but now that's my wife. And then we start kind of moving around and looking at each other. It's kind of interesting. Yeah, it's just a little snippet. I thought it was kind of fun. I played with a bunch of old pictures. They definitely have some work to do, but sure, I think it'll get better every single day. And it reminds me of when chatgpt when I first created my first image. I was shocked and. And it looked like a cartoon character and you know, now it does, you.
Know, it does whatever, you know, it's great.
So anyway, yeah.
The evolution of this stuff. What I. What an amazing time to have lived. Like, I don't just mean CHAT GPT. I mean like all the way through. Like we, you know, we didn't have computers in our houses when.
No, that's right.
When we were kids and, and now like what a. What a fun time to.
Well, it's like everything not to be.
Old men about it. Yeah.
Old anxiety. But like my mom who's 97. Yeah she says, well you know, I. She's like, she grew. Born in 1928. So she's like we were, you know, making dresses out of flour sacks because the flour sack people realized, oh, people are using our material for clothes, let's decorate it. And then it became young, you know, girls dresses for. They were making stuff and all the. Could you imagine the. You know. And she still uses an iPhone. I'm just like, oh, it's amazing. So.
Right, right. Yes, exactly. Yeah. It's crazy. Yeah, I love it.
Yeah, it is pretty good. But we'd love to hear from about your AI what you're working on feedback at BusinessBrain show the more you share, the better it is. Right?
That's what I hear.
Definitely.
Yeah.
Yeah. Success is better with friends.
