Becky Burrows talking about The Tantrum Taming Toolkit

Becky Burrows used the Tantrum Taming Toolkit to shift from uncertain parenting to calm boundary-setting. She learned to acknowledge her toddler's feelings while holding firm, and saw him adapt quickly at bedtime. The structured approach gave her confidence and a community of parents doing the same work.

I joined the Tantrum Taming Toolkit because I found that my lovely toddler was turning into more of a difficult toddler and that we weren't, we had a way that we wanted to parent and we were struggling to have the confidence and the tools to really parent that way and what we found was by joining this course that we were able to finally have the structure to be able to implement the way we wanted to parent in a compassionate but boundaried way. And we were just blown away how quickly by implementing those things that we were able to start seeing results. We're starting to have more positive interactions with our son. I remember the one night where he wanted me to go to bed with him and my husband was the one who was going to be taking him for stories and he came running out, "Mama, mama, mama, mama." And I said, "Oh, mum is just gonna be putting away. I hear that you're feeling sad about that. You know, mummy's just gonna put away the toys. Once she's finished tidying, she'll come." And he was like, "Okay," and went straight back to the bedroom. And it was just amazing with this change and affirming how he was feeling, but explaining what the boundary was, how quickly he was adapting to that. And also implementing things like the positive praise that we learned how to do. It was so amazing to see us feeling more positively about our son and about being parents. And yeah, it's been really wonderful to be a part of, a part of this journey and community. So if you've got any hesitations about joining, I just think about how much it's costing you right now to keep parenting the way you're parenting and how much it's affecting how you feel about parenting and about your child. And we can spend, you know, hundreds of thousands of dollars on the lifetime of a child, and why not spend this to be able to really enjoy that time and to have a beautiful connection with your child and to have the confidence to parent in the way that you really want to, in a way that you feel really proud of.
