If you've got a child starting school or nursery, managing the drop-off is something that's really useful to think about in advance. So here are the 3 key things that I will say. Definitely prepare your child's expectations. Have them understand exactly what will happen when you leave them. Ask them what they would like you to say to them, so then you've got a really good script to say. And when it comes to the drop-off, say the script 'I love you. I love you so much. I'm going to see you at the end of the day. I will pick you up. Goodbye.' And make it brief. Something like that, whatever works for you, but make it brief. Don't extend it. Do the goodbye thing that you've prepared in advance and then leave. You can cry round the corner. Don't let your child see you upset. It's really hard, but that will make a big difference. Oh, and message me below and I'll send you my guide, 'The 10 Best Ways to Prepare for School.'
