Punishing, scolding, and telling our children off doesn't help them learn from their mistakes. It makes them feel shame and resentment, and they typically deny doing something wrong. So what can we do, as we can't ignore bad behavior? I work with parents to teach a step-by-step process that helps to raise kids who are responsible, kind, confident, resilient, and who want to talk to us and listen to us.
