In this testimonial, Meg and Dave, parents of three children—Jude (7), Georgia (5), and Peggy (11 months)—share how working with parenting coach Camilla transformed their family dynamics. They recount initially feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and ineffective in handling Georgia's intense emotions, often resorting to shouting and punishment. Camilla helped them recognize that Georgia's big feelings were cries for help and guided them to uncover deep‑rooted emotional triggers. Through one‑to‑one sessions, structured modules, and real‑time WhatsApp support, they learned techniques for emotional self‑regulation, which allowed them to replace punitive responses with supportive coaching. The changes cascaded to the whole family, improving Georgia’s behavior, reducing conflicts, and enhancing the parents’ confidence. They emphasize the time investment required but describe it as 100 % worthwhile, highlighting the value for money, the depth of Camilla’s insight, and the long‑term benefits for their children.

I'm Dave and Meg, and we have 3 children, Jude, 7, Georgia, 5, and Peggy, who's 11 months.
Birth of— we got in touch with Camilla over a summer holiday where it just felt intense, and Camilla really helped us realize that this wasn't about Georgia being naughty or bad, and there's quite a lot of deep-rooted emotions going on under the surface. And once we unveiled that, it really helped to understand Georgia as the child that she really is. It's really helped us to support her big feelings. The words that I used were that I was broken trying to deal with a child with huge emotions. I did feel completely exhausted and that I was failing as a parent in some way. The tools and tricks that Camilla gave us helped us understand so much more about big feeling children and about the fact that any big feeling is really a cry for help. Camilla really helped us understand what we could do to support the entire family. So actually what we've done with Georgia has had a real trickle-down effect, not just on her but on the other kids as well. So the transformation in Georgia has been massive. There's been huge changes not only in Georgia, but actually in us as parents too.
A lot of it is how we handle situations. We were having massive, with Georgia, seemingly impossible to control her or placate her, lots of fighting. And, um, we felt we were losing control, resorting to shouting, punishing too much, and we've taken that out completely. And she's responded so well to ability to control her own emotions. There are still flare-ups, but we are getting better at handling it. And it's all down to the techniques that we've picked up.
You do have to invest time. You just have to find the time. I know that everyone's really busy. Dave and I both work, but it definitely has been time well spent. The investment is 100% worth it. If you think about not just the one-to-one sessions and the modules, but the WhatsApp support has been incredible because that's been real-time feedback.
So value for money is amazing. It's all the content. We get access to the responses from Camilla when we were in these pretty dark places, was so helpful just to have someone to turn to. One-to-one sessions were so in-depth. I felt Camilla knew the kids intimately, which was amazing. And then ultimately, when you look at the long-term benefit, it's, it makes so much sense for the benefit it's going to give you over the next however many years.
