A short YouTube monologue by Carly Hill in which the speaker recounts struggling to grow a private practice and realizing the core issue was unclear messaging rather than marketing, SEO, or offers. The speaker emphasizes clinicians often avoid specificity (to not alienate anyone) and thus fail to clearly state who they help and how, reducing conversions from posts to clients.

I struggled. I struggled with business. I struggled with marketing. I was stoked that I started my private practice. I wasn't doing the damn thing I did my one day thought. I opened up shop and I rode the high for a little bit. What about more clients? Like, I need more clients. Like, how do I market myself? How do I get better SEO? Like, what it came down to was my messaging. My messaging sucked. I felt like I had so much gold to offer, and I had such a burning desire to help people, but no one knew about me. I felt like I had all this gold to offer, but I was way under the dirt. You felt like you wanted to make a larger impact or you wanted to help more people and really put yourself out there, but you didn't know how. And you felt lost and you felt like maybe you were just posting things and it was just going to outer space. Like, it wasn't actually converting to clients. And from experience with working with other clinicians, most clinicians don't have necessarily a marketing problem. They don't have a lead problem getting clients. They don't have an offer problem. They have a messaging problem. And they're not crystal clear on who they help and how they help them because they don't want to alienate anyone. There's all these things that kind of come up for us, right? And we're so used to solving every single problem under the sun that we're just used to kind of morphing into whoever is in front of us and then helping them.
