Freedom! You're listening to the Daily Motivation Podcast, a place to take your life to the next level. Your business, your fitness, your dreams. Let's go! Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah! Happy Sunday, it's your boy Colvay, Inspiration Engineer. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, depending on where you're at in the world. I hope you had a phenomenal weekend and you're ready and you're excited about making this a phenomenal week. Who's with me? Say, let's boost! I'm so ready. I'm pumped for this weekend because I have been working on the I Just Wanna Inspire You media experience. And it's an experience that eye has not seen, ear has not heard. And I know that I didn't come up with it in the natural. Like, I know I didn't. There was nothing in me that first off said, I wanna write a book. And secondly, how this whole experience has come together. I had a gentleman I was talking to a little bit ago. He said, "So what is it like? Like, tell me about what it's like. I'm really excited." And I said, "Well, imagine it being like an eclectic collage of inspirational audio programming." Like, that's the best way I could tell you what it is because I don't have anything to point to of what it is. It's not fiction. It's not personal development solely. It's not like a book where I'm just being a narrator. Like, it's different. Like, I don't know. So anyway, I've been on that vibe. Mm-hmm. On that because I've been soaking and basking in that project, like, all weekend getting it wrapped up for birthday. My birthday is actually tomorrow. And we're doing this really private, intimate release for it, which is gonna be a lot of fun. And for just a small group. And it's gonna be a really great thing. And so I'm excited. So I'm just really pumped up about that. But this whole basking in a lot of the concepts and the ideas in that experience, I thought we would go ahead and bring— Mm-hmm. Into our episode today, because when you're getting prepped for the week, what I want to talk to you about is your routine. Routine, habit, practice. There is something to practicing and making something stick because it's something that you do day in, day out, and it just becomes a part of your, your, your nature, your habits. They say you're not what you— Yeah. Desire, but you are a collage, since I used that word earlier, you're a collage of the habits and the things that you practice. Whatever it is that you do, whether that's getting a coffee every morning, or whether that's meditations, whether that's affirmations, whatever it is that you do, you are a sum of those practices. And I think about these basketball players that are, you know, NBA professionals, they've been shooting who knows how many shots, tens of thousands of shots a day. But they're still every day shooting that free throw, shooting that 3-pointer, shooting that shot, getting that routine to where it almost is muscle memory. And that's what it makes me think about is building a routine and a practice that it becomes muscle memory for you. That's what we want. So I want to talk to you about your routine. I want to talk to you about what I've been doing in my routine and I want to share with you some things that are really powerful that are on my spirit, on my heart today. So, I told you what I was doing this weekend. Let's talk about how the day begins. And I do want to touch on this right now. Are you enjoying today's episode of the Daily Motivation Podcast? There is certain wisdoms, right, that are natural, and then there's supernatural wisdom. Like, that's in, in scripture, that, that is a truth. So supernaturally, the Lord says that being connected to his word day and night is like being fresh near a riverbank. And I'm paraphrasing it, but it allows for you to be connected with the source of sources or the King of Kings. It allows you to be connected. So that's one of the things that I do. And being that it's Sunday, I'm always grounded to a devotional 'cause it's on my phone. So you can get the Bible app on the App Store for free, or you can go to Bible.com, B-I-B-L-E.com, and you can— Bible. Have a devotional, you can actually have a reminder every day and it will trigger for whatever time you set, whatever alarm you set, and it will always pop up a scripture. And some of the scriptures may be inspirational. Some of them may be motivational in that sense. Some of them are actual promises or actual what's called covenants or just different things that the Lord has said and it's all God-breathed. And so that's like, Man. That's how I start my day. I do my best to end my night every night listening to the actual app. Like, that's one of the biggest things that I do. The second thing that I like to do, and I think we all want to consider this when it comes to our spiritual health, right? We got our spiritual health taken care of, and then now we want to maybe get our physical health taken care of. And I shouldn't say maybe, I mean, we definitely do. But then doing some type of activity. And for me, what has been as of lately is just walking around the neighborhood. Mm-hmm. It's really old school, but just walking around the neighborhood, I find that I'm doing my best thinking at that time. I don't know why that is, but it is. And ideas are just coming. And I mean, it's just flowing like Niagara Falls. And usually I'll go live or I'll hop on Facebook or I'll post something in a group because at that time my mind is like active and I'm jazzed up and I'm feeding multiple birds with one seed. And I want you to write that down if you can. If you're driving, don't worry about it. If you're on the treadmill, don't worry about it. But maybe come back to this and, and get it, you know, so that you got the nugget. But feed multiple birds with one seed, that's something that I'm big on as a practice. So while I'm walking and getting my exercise in, I'm also creating content, right? I'm posting that in social media or on platform, so I'm able to feed multiple birds with one seed. So the more that you can do that, compound that, and create that as a practice— just as a side note, that's going to serve you well. And I've been doing it so often now that usually I'm doing 3 to 4 things at one time efficiently because I've been doing these compounding things so often. And to get started, just to kind of give you an idea, everybody goes to the toilet— like, not to be gross, but everybody goes to the toilet. So that's a perfect time to be working because you can't do anything while you're sitting there anyway, right? So, um, again, practice and becoming more efficient feeding multiple birds with one seed. So I wanted to touch on that really quickly. Going back into routine. So journaling. I don't know how many of you guys actually journal. Like I have a friend of mine, really conscious man, like really in tune with, you know, his spirituality, really in tune with just his intuition and being led or guided by the divine. And he doesn't journal. And I was like, "You don't journal?" He's like, "No." And you know, everybody does and has a different journaling practice. There's a gentleman named Robin Sharma who is a— A guru. You could say an advisor or a counselor or a coach. And he works with the top billionaires, millionaires. And what he found was that journaling is like a really big thing, like putting idea to paper, like putting thought to paper. And everybody has a different practice. For me, my journaling routine is really simple. I have a blessings list where I just thank the Lord for everything that I've been given from big to small things. Anything that's on my mind, I just jot that down. And then I'll have, If there's an affirmation that I'm practicing, which goes down as practice number 4, but if there's affirmation I'm practicing, I'll write that down. I'll be sure to say it and count how many times I've said it and where I'm at within my practice. I'm currently doing one right now. I'm on day 10 of 90. And so that is the new routine and the new programming that I'm doing in my life. I'll put any innovations that's happening or just thoughts. Maybe I need to express something. Maybe I need to release something. Maybe I'm creating something. I mean, my journal is a collage since I guess that's a popular word for this episode. My journal is a collage of all these different experiences of life that then goes in there. Now, I'm not one to go back and reflect on that journal, but I release. And so it's just a great practice to have. The next thing that I do is I'm listening to empowerment programming. This could be music, this could be speeches, it could be a lot of things. It just depends on the day. But empowerment programming is something that I do regularly. And then the last thing that I do is meditation. And meditation is the practice, and the way I explain it is it's the way to bring calm to your mind. It's the practice of hearing a thought, feeling a thought, understanding that you are not your thought, and being able to disconnect from the thought. And this could be anxiety. There might be some worry or some doubt or some different things, but how are you feeling? How are you vibing? Then there could be on the other side, On the positive side, being that I'm on social media, being that you're on social media, you get those little red dots, those little notifications. You go to answer, that creates dopamine. You get a like and bop, bop, bop, bop, bop. So yeah, sometimes meditation can just bring that down, that dopamine. There's a lot of ways that meditation has really served me and just breathing deep and Right. Just controlling breath and all the things that come with it. So it's really been very, very beneficial. In my life practicing that. But again, you are what you practice. And I have found this to be true. And over time, my routines have modified. It's the same things and then, you know, add a new thing here, add a new thing there. If you heard something today that resonated that you want to try or that you want to do, I wouldn't recommend trying to do all these things if you're just starting. I would say just take one thing do that for 66 days or more. I told you I'm doing a 90-day right now, but at least 66 days and allow that to be a new habit. Allow that to be a new practice and allow that to be a new thing that you do on a regular basis. And then see how that serves you. And if it works for you, keep it. If it doesn't work, throw it out. That's usually what I've done to get in these different routines that I've been a part of. You know, Tony Robbins has the Hour of Power and some people have like a 15-minute routine or a 5-minute routine or, just different things. And I've heard different people talk about what they do. And I was like, "All right, well, let me try that and see how that works for me. And if it works, it sticks. And if it don't, we toss it out." But it's a great way of getting in state for the day. Additionally, it's a great way of really, you know, getting your body, your physiology, your mind, your spirit, like your emotions, like really getting everything in tune or in alignment. And I think it's just some great things that you can do in the natural to really get grounded, if you will. And then the last thing I'll say is I've added a couple things I just wanted to share with you that you might wanna try as well. The saying goes, and in my life I've experienced this, so I can testify that it's true, when you go toward what is uncomfortable, that is when you're growing. So I'm gonna say that again. When you're going toward what is uncomfortable, that is when you're growing. Mm-hmm. Okay. So if you haven't taken cold showers, I highly recommend you to start taking cold showers. That gives you a chipperness that you won't understand until you do it on a regular basis. Really getting that jump and that jolt and letting your body know like, "Hey, I'm in control and I'm going to set the shock the way that I want to do it." And another one that I was doing, and I'm not doing the cold showers now, so I want to make sure that's really clear. But I had been doing that for quite some time. And then the newest add— addition, that's the word I want. The newest addition was grounding of feet. And I got this one from all the people that I interviewed. I did a Defeat Your Mind interview series where I interviewed a lot of people that had defeated mental health, anxiety, severe depression, PTSD, and all the things that they say as the narrative goes that once you have these, you can't recover, like you'll always have them. And I put a post out on Facebook, it went viral, got like 268 comments in like 20 minutes. And there was all these people that was like, man, I've beat it, I've beat it, I've beat it. And I was like, hey, would you be down to, you know, pop on an Instagram Live and we'll put out to the world like what you did? I wanna learn practically as a student, but I also wanna share this with the world. And they were like, yeah, like let's do it. And so what a lot of them said out of the 10 interviews we've done thus far, they were talking about having a grounding practice, which is really just putting your bare feet in the soil. And I'm a person that doesn't really like that feeling. I don't like the hard prickly grass, like poking me or thong sandals, like in my toes. I'm a little weird like that. Don't judge me, but I don't like it. And what I found over doing that for 66 days straight, what I found was it's not the grounding that I dislike or things on my feet when my feet are bare. Mm-hmm. It's that hard prickly grass. When the grass is soft and it's a little bit more moist or a little bit— it's just softened, it feels more like turf and it really is comforting to the foot. And I believe that from what I found, I believe that what we're doing is we're ionizing our feet or the dirt and all the things that we collect throughout the day through our feet. That's why our feet are always so dirty and sometimes it gets ashy and crusty and you gotta get a pedicure and all these things. To keep that, just keep them clean, keep them fresh. And so anyway, that's what I found. And so I would tell you today to get a routine in place if you don't have one. If you do have one and you heard something maybe new, add it on. If you're doing some different things in your routine that you found that really work, I wanna hear about 'em, we wanna hear about 'em. So share them with me and I'll be happy to share on the next episode some of the things that you guys are doing and tag you. And give you some love and give you some shine as to what's working in your world, because I would love to hear what you're doing. And I always want to add. I just want to add new things, experiment with new things, because I feel like life is an experiment. And that's how we grow, is by experimenting. You don't know what you like unless you try it. And that's the way that I've been living life for the most part with All Things Righteous. So with that said, make sure you hit me up. Tag me on what your routine is. Hit me on whatever your favorite social media is, wherever you've heard this episode. And let me know what you're doing in your routine, what's been working for you. Let me know what you've tried and what didn't work. I mean, we want to know. We want to be able to share it out as well. Tweet it out. Put it on Instagram and just put out some love. So let me know what you're doing. Have a phenomenal week. Get started with a— up and early, ready to go with that energy to have a phenomenal Monday and really bring it. Make sure that you recharge tonight. And let's really get this week going right, baby. I love you guys so much. I appreciate you. And until the next time, you already know what it is.
