If Content is King, what happens if i'm just a Pawn

This is a YouTube video titled "If Content is King, what happens if i'm just a Pawn" created on September 12, 2019. The content type and title suggest it is likely a personal or opinion-based video discussing the role or value of content, but no conversational dialogue or multiple speakers are indicated in the excerpt.
Hey everybody, how are you? Chad Thibodeau here. Thank you so much for being on with us today. It's another week of training and I am super delighted to be here and to work with you today. Normally we do these trainings on Monday morning and I know today is Thursday morning, but I have to be honest with you when I tell you that it feels a lot like Monday morning. I just got back from Disney World with my three incredible kids and we had an awesome time. We had a five day vacation and I tell you, it was the first time in a long time that we've gotten away for that long and had that much fun. And as those of you know, I love to get away with my kids. Recently we went up to the mountains up in Pine Top and we played in the snow a little bit. And then this past weekend we were able to jump on an airplane, go to Orlando and to see Disney World. If you've never been to Disney World before, I really recommend is a lot of fun. In fact, I took some notes on my phone and I'm wanting to do a training here in the very near future. Maybe a blog post or something about the marketing lessons that I learned from Disney. Holy smoke. It was pretty amazing. So, so excited to have you here. Hey, if you're on with us today, no matter whether you, no matter whether you are in our launch Fuel Online Coach Academy, our Click Funnel Design Academy, or my main page, I want to just say welcome to you. So glad that, so glad that you are here. John says Chad can't stay, but I'm so grateful that you're doing this. Absolutely, John, thank you. But make sure you catch the replay. We'll make sure that we put it on there. Well, today I want to talk to you about if content is king. What happens if I'm only upon. Right. What happens if I'm only upon? How do I create a content strategy that works? Now let me tell you what I mean by works, okay? As when we do any type of business and literally it doesn't matter what you're doing. When I was in the pastoral business, this was the same exact thing. I got all these errors popping up on my screen here. I apologize. When I was in the pastoral industry, when I was doing pastoral work, content was king. Because you think about it every single week. I had to show up on stage and I had to speak and I had to have something new to say and it had to be intriguing to my audience. I had to teach them something, it had to educate them. I had to Entertain them. And it had to help those people who were young, help those people who were old, help those people who were brand new to the church, help those people who have been in church for a long time. And so it was all based around content. And so when you think about the church world, it wasn't super difficult because we had a book, right? We had a book, we could open up to a particular passage in the book and we could teach from that book. And there were all kinds of resources that we could go to find content about that particular passage that we were going to teach on in book. So it wasn't that difficult. But yet at the same time, it's the hardest thing that we did as pastors because we had to come up with it each and every week. In addition to the Sunday morning sermon, sometimes we had Sunday night, sometimes we had Wednesday night. Then I'd be expected to write a weekly blog, and then I'd be expected to write a monthly newsletter. Then I would be expected to come up with something for the kids and for the teens and for the young adults and for the older adults and for the seniors. We had something for everything. So content was always having to come out of my system when I was in the church world. Now that I transitioned out of the church world and into the digital marketing space, I sort of thought that my days of creating all that content were going to be over. And what I'm learning is that it's not over at all, actually. It's just beginning. In fact, I probably produce three times the amount of content now in the digital marketing space as I ever did in the church space. And here's what we know about content. And if you've got a pencil and a piece of paper today, I'm just going to open up my heart and my head and I'm just going to do a brain dump with you today. But here's what we know about content. Content is the key to opening the hearts of your potential customers. Write that down. Content is the key to opening the hearts of your potential customers. That's what it is. It's content that does that. It doesn't matter how good you look or how ugly you are. It doesn't matter if you've been in business a long time or a short time. It doesn't matter if you've got 3 million referrals or 0 referrals. Content ultimately is the key that opens the heart to your potential customers. Why is that? Now all those other things are important and they add to it and they augment it. But content is the key. The reason is because nothing establishes you as an expert more than content. Nothing shows that you know exactly what you're doing more than content. This is why so many people get into content is because it really just. It helps establish you and helps you push the ball down the field when it comes to building your brand, building your business, building your funnel, and ultimately building a tribe. And that's what it's all about. So key number one to tribe building is content. Content is king. But you say, Chad, you know, I see that and I go on these blogs like Michael Hyatt and I go on some of these other blogs and you know, they have hundreds of thousands of followers and boy, they can produce content with the best of them. But I don't have that. I don't have any of that. Well, here's what I want to tell you about that is they all started somewhere. So do you. But there is one C that I want to give you when it comes to content that you have to commit to me today that you would be willing to do or the strategy that I'm going to give you to build all this on is not going to work. And the key to content is consistency. Everybody write that down. Now, I know I have a lisp, and that's hard for me to say consistency, but it's consistency. The key to content is consistency. You have to be consistent with your content. No matter how great you think your content is or how bad you think your content is, the key is you have to be consistent with it. For instance, why do you think Seinfeld became the number one show in America for like 15 years? Why was it? The reason why Seinfeld was the number one show for 15 years was not just its incredible content, but also the fact that we knew it was going to come on Thursday night at 7pm every Thursday night at 7pm and we could set our watch to it, we could bank on it, we could make plans around it, we could sit on our couch and we can enjoy that content. Why? Because they were consistent. They were always there. They were always on time. They always put it out. One of the big mistakes that we make as content creators is we're just sort of haphazard with the consistency of our content. And the biggest mistake that I can tell you that you can make is not having a game plan when it comes time for content. You have to be consistent. So, for instance, today I'm doing this on a Thursday. Typically I do this on a Monday. But what happened on Monday at 10am I went online and I posted. Hey guys. Tate, typically we do Monday morning coaching every Monday at 10am Arizona time. But I'm at Disney World today, so I'm going to be doing this Thursday at 10am and so I let my followers, I let my audience know that, hey, today we're going to have an interruption in our schedule and we're going to do it on Thursday. But here I am, Thursday, 10am and I'm producing content for you on a very consistent basis. You have to be consistent. So one of the things that I want you to do, from moving to a pawn to a king when it comes time for creating content, is you need to put on your calendar the same day, the same time, each and every day, month, week. However often you're going to do it, you need to be consistent with that. You need to publish it and you need to stick to it just like it's an appointment. It's an incredible key that I need you to learn is consistency is key to content. So just as content is the key that opens up the heart of your customers, consistency is what proves that you've got the goods when it comes time for building content. So hope you understand that what it does. So hey, I want to talk with you today about the different types of content that you could create. And then we're going to create a game plan on how to do it. If you followed my coaching, you know that there's the first part of teaching is what we call the expert content creation. Okay, so what content do I need in order to create to establish me as an expert incredibly quickly? Now, I've done an entire training on this, so I'm just going to highlight it real quick and then I'm going to move on. But there's a few components that we said that you have to have. Okay. First and foremost is you have to have some kind of giveaway. Okay, so I've got several of these. I've got a couple video giveaways. I've got it. I've got a how to build your list to 100. I've got one how to build your list to 100 and turn that list into five figures. So I've got several giveaways, but you have to have a giveaway. Okay, Second thing that you have to have is you have to have a 2500 word shareable article. A 2500 word shareable article. Now what is this? If you guys are going to be going to sell high ticket or you're going to be Selling funnels, you're going to be selling marketing, you're going to be selling Facebook ads, you can be selling some kind of multi level marketing, marketing program. Whatever it is you're selling doesn't matter. Chances are there's a system in your methodology of teaching and training. And if you don't have a system, you need to get one rapidly. Because a system is what causes what helps you to stay on track. Okay, so I have an eight step content strategy that I create. Excuse me, an eight step launch strategy that I create for folks who are going to be launching a business from ideation to activation. Okay. And I've got a strategy, I've got a component, I've got a timeline. So what you would do is if you have a strategy, if you have a system, you're going to write that system out into a 2,500 word article, okay? Step one, step two, step three, step four, et cetera. And you're going to fill in the blanks, okay. And you're going to come up with a shareable article. Now why is that important? The reason why that's important is because it's going to allow your potential customer to read your process, understand your process, digest your process and it's going to be able to establish you as an expert. So the first thing you have to have is a giveaway. Second thing you have to have is a 2,500 word article. Then you're going to share that article everywhere, get it on Funnel magazine, send it to Entrepreneur magazine, send it to, you know, to Forbes, send it everywhere, send them that article, get 10, 12, 15 of your cronies. Hey, would you. Can I guess. Block. Can I give this to you as a guest Block? Get it out there. Why? Because Google is going to bless you. If you have a lot of content, then you're going to take them the third part of your expert content strategy. And once again, if you're just joining, as I'm flying through the expert content strategy, I did an entire two hour training on this. You can go catch it in the Launchfield online coaching academy. So I'm just going to highlight this and we're going to get to the rest of it. But the third part is, is now you need to take that 2500 word article and you need to get on Facebook just like I'm doing today. You need to get on Facebook Live and you need to begin teaching. And just as I teach you, when you get on Facebook Live, you need to start teaching immediately. Don't wait, don't Acknowledge the crowd. Don't do anything. You just look at the camera when it says live, say, hey everybody, I'm Chad Thibodeau and today I'm going to teach you xyz and you just teach. Why do you want to do that? Well, the reason why you want to do that is because when you do your Facebook Live, you're going to teach that 2500 word article and then the next day you're going to come back and you're going to teach point one and you're going to go in depth on points one. So just as you're going to teach that 2500 word article just sort of as you wrote it, the next day though, you're going to do a deep dive. So for instance, if I was like today, if I'm doing a deep dive on content, this would probably be point one of one of my 2500 word articles. Well, today I'm going to teach a deep dive. I'm going to do an entire 40 minutes on it. So that's a deep dive on one point. You do that on day one, then point two, on day two, point three on day three, point four on day four, et cetera. And then what you do is you download those, you chop them up, you edit them and then, and now you have a mini series. Now you have a free mini series that you've been able to create. Why? Because you disciplined yourself. You went on Facebook Live, you taught it to a live audience. You had the energy. You didn't stop and start and start over. You didn't do any of that. You saw the camera on and you just went for it and you taught it. That's the best way to teach. Now you're going to chop that up and now you have a mini series. So think about what you have. You have a giveaway, you have a 2500 word article, you have a Facebook Live, you have a four or five part video series right now, which is, which is awesome. So now you have all those. And then the fifth thing is now you're going to get yourself booked on podcasts. You're going to find yourself five to seven podcasts that you can ask to be on. You're going to give them a list of questions to interview you and you're going to go on and you're going to teach your system. Now why are you going to do that? Because content is king. If you're trying to establish yourself as an expert, there's no quicker way to do that than that strategy that I just gave you. So. So you've got to get that. So you can't go from pawn to king when it comes to strategy if you don't have the basics. And those are the basics. Now, the beautiful thing about it, when you get all of that content, you got the giveaway, you got a 2,500 word shareable article. You've got the Facebook Live under your belt. You've got the four or five part miniseries, and you have the five to seven podcast. Once you get that under your belt, now you begin to establish yourself as an expert. That's the elementary level of content. Now you want to be able to take that and you want to take it to the next level. Because as you begin to climb the ranks of expertise, so to speak, you know that there's a difference between the Lewis Howes of this world who consider themselves an expert, and the guys like me, who consider myself an expert. There's a huge difference. Louis is way above me. Why is Louis way above me? Not just because he's made more money than I have, but because he's probably produced 100 times more content than I have. Why? Because he understands he's got to be consistent. He's been doing it a little longer than I have. He's got some success, he's got great clients, great customers. But content is where it is at. So let's talk about the different types of content that you need to be creating for your business. And it doesn't matter what you're doing. Literally, it doesn't matter. This morning I've had three phone calls. I've had three calls with potential clients this morning. Okay. My first call was with a guy from Bangkok, Thailand, who works with roofers. Okay. And he was awesome. Then I worked with a gal from. Camille was from Denmark. Denmark. She speaks Danish. So she's from Denmark and she represents a pro golfer. We had a really cool time with that. And then I don't work with anybody from America. Yes. I worked with a guy from Afghanistan this morning. He's trying to put together a really cool webinar to do some social media in his particular region. So those are the three clients that I've had so far. All three of them came to me based off of content that. That I produced. Okay. I've got three more calls today. In addition to all the coaching calls that I have to do, I have three more phone calls today with potential clients. So I'm going to have six potential client phone calls today. And these, these range anywhere between 1800 and $17,200. As far as price points goes, I'm going to have six of those today. All of that is based off of content that I created. So why is content king? Content is king because it opens up the door for your customers. Now, here's the content that you have to have. First and foremost, you have to have some kind of blog. Now, I do not like. I love to write, but I don't like to write at the same time. So I don't have a blog right now. I'm working on it, working with a guy who's going to be able to help me do this. But what I do is I repurpose everything. So what I do is it all starts with me with this coaching video. The coaching video that you are on right now. This is what I'm good at. This is what I love doing. By the way, I loving all the good mornings, guys. Thank you so much. Sorry I'm not checking all three of my rooms, but for me, it all starts with this video. So what I do is I take my time and I work and I craft this coaching video. Okay? I spend about an hour to hour and a half figuring out what I want to teach, what I want to say, what I want to train on this particular video. Then what I'm going to do is I'm going to repurpose this video in multiple aspects. So just as I talked to you before and your expert content strategy to repurpose content, I'm going to teach you how to repurpose this. So what I do is I will teach this. And then I hire a guy by the name of Paul, Paul Pavoni. If you want to hire him, he's incredible. He's one of the best content writers that you're going to find. He did that for a living. So I hired a guy like that to then take this and to turn it into show notes. Okay? And then I just hired his mom, and his mom is going to take this and she's going to turn it into a blog post. Okay? So I'm taking my one, teaching, and I'm going to have now three different types of content. When I got the live that I'm doing now, that will record put it on demand later, two, Paul turns into show notes, because a lot of times people just like to read the show notes. And then three, his mom is going to take it and she's going to turn it into a blog. So you need some kind of blog. Okay? So start with one major piece of content. Figure out what you love to do the most. I love to coach the most. I love to be on live the most. So this is what I do the most. Okay? So I do these more times than I. You can catch me on camera two to three times per week teaching just like this. Why? Because I love it. It's what I love to do. I love to influence people. I love to talk with people, love to help people. So take that and then figure out a way to create multiple streams of content from it. So to me, I'm going to take a coaching video and then I'm going to make a blog. I'm going to make show notes. Show notes are incredibly important. Based on this too, you need to come up with what we call three to five twitterable statements. Okay, three to five. Twitter. Twitterable. Is that a word? Twitterable? My lisp is really bad today because I'm tired. I got a little bit of a sore throat. So I apologize if it's coming across negatively for you today. But you need to be able to create three to five twitterable quotes now. Why? Why do you do that? Because remember, content is king. So you need to be represented on all platforms. In fact, something that we're beginning to do on Monday with my own personal brand is we're getting ready to put on stero steroids a little bit because I have three pictures on Instagram right now. Three. And I had a guy who John says tweetable. Great stuff, Chad. Thank you, John. I had a guy on our. We'll be having him on school here. I had a guy on our summit last week do nothing but Instagram. And I had a gal do nothing but Instagram. And this gal called me out the carpet, she goes, oh my gosh, Chad, you're the king of content. And you only have three pictures on your Instagram. And it was really funny. So we're putting together a full blown Instagram. Well, these tweetable comments that I've come up with is what they're gonna. We're gonna be able to put on a picture, we're gonna put the comment on there. We're put down on Instagram and people will follow it. I'll be able to put it on Twitter, I'll be able to put on Facebook. I'll be able to. And what it does is it allows people to understand some little nuggets that really establish me as content king, but also gives plenty of people stuff to share. So it's where people may not share an hour video like I'm going to do today. They will Share my one particular quote. I did one yesterday that was pretty funny. And I couldn't believe how many people shared it. Like 25 people shared it. Blew my mind. I took a picture of Disney World and the last day we were there, on Tuesday morning, I got the kids up really early. We got in the Uber, we went all the way down to Disney World, we got in line at Animal Kingdom, got there an hour before the park opened, ran as fast as we could because we wanted to be the people first in line for the Avatar ride. And we get all the way there and holy smokes, there was already a three and a half hour wait. So I held my camera all the way up and I took a picture of this huge crowd. What's so funny is you can only see a little bit of the crowd. And I said, when there's a longer line for Avatar. Wait. I said, when you have to wait in line? No, when there's a longer line to get into Avatar than there is to get into heaven, you know there's a problem. And I just came up with something funny. But what that was, was that was a tweetable statement, okay? And like 20 something people, 28 people, whatever, shared that particular statement, they would copy it, they tagged me on it, and they put it all over social media. So sometimes a twitterable statement is way better than even like a coaching video like I'm giving to you now. So you have to have some kind of blog. You have to have show notes, you have to have three to five twitterable quotes. So in mine, okay, so what I do is when I come up with coaching, I begin to wr. I'll write down my Twitter quotes and I make sure that I use them. So at the beginning of our teaching today, I said, content is the key to unlocking your customer's heart. That's a twitterable quote you'll be able to use that I've come up with many more that many of you have come up with. But I always try to come up with three to five for every coaching session. Why? Because I want you to be able to share that. I want you to copy me on it. And that's incredibly important. Remember, all content is, is trying to educate your audience so it can benefit them, but also so they can share that and you can build your audience even more so you have more people to influence. Okay? So what I do is I start with one piece of content. I got my coaching video, then I turn that into some kind of blog. Now, once again, I love to write, but I hate to write. I love to write because I'm really good at it. I hate to write because it's just. It's not my favorite thing to do in the world. So hire somebody to do that. Hire somebody to do my show notes. Okay? So now when I put this video on, you'll have the show notes. Those actually are really. Show notes is probably a bad word for that. Cliff Notes is probably a much better word for that. So it's the Cliff Notes of what I'm doing. So if somebody doesn't want to watch my entire training, you just read the Cliff Notes of that, then I'm going to come up with three to five twitterable quotes. Now, something I don't do a lot, but I would really recommend you do it if you're trying to get from the pawn level to the king level when it comes to content. Okay? And that is three to five times per week, you need to do a three to five minute Facebook Live. Okay? Now let's talk about this. Okay? So today in my coaching, I'm talking to you all about content. And I've already talked with you about a five step expert strategy. I already gave that to you. I've already talked with you about subcontracting. Subcontracting out, which I don't love to do. So I hate to write. Well, I love to write, but I don't want to do it. So I sub it out to somebody who's better than me at it. So they're writing a blog. They're writing Cliff Notes. Okay? I've already talked with you about Twitter quotes. I've already talked with you about my Disneyland story about how they shared it. And then now I'm teaching you about three to five Facebook lives. That in and of itself is probably eight to ten little three minute to five minute Facebook Live videos that I could do. I could go on there and I could do just a quick little Facebook Live on any one of these topics. I can make it quick, short, and sweet. And what would happen is more people would ingest them. Okay? More people would share them because they're shorter, but it would also allow me to put out a ton of content. Then what I would do, and I learned this from my friend Colby K. Then what I could do is I could take those three to five minute videos and I could go to a website called Rev.com. okay. Rev.com. let me make sure I did that right. So I don't want to lead you wrong. Rev.com. yeah, Rev.com and what you can do if it says Rev has nothing to do with Preacher, Rev has to do with revolution. And what you can do is they can take your. Your video and they can convert it. They can, they can move it for a dollar a minute, they'll move it over to text. Okay, so what you can do is you can do a three to five minute Facebook video on a particular topic, send it to Rev.com, they'll go in and they'll translate it, they edit it, make it look beautiful, and turn it into a blog post for you for five bucks. That's right, a dollar a minute. So it costs. If you got a five minute video, they'll give you, for $5, they'll turn into a blog for you. Okay, so now what you have is now you can do these little videos. You can use outsource to a company called Rev.com and next thing you know, you've got multiple types of content that can be out there. So see, you can create all kinds of content. Then what you do is you can take that, you can take that content, that blog content, and. And then what you can do is you can find some pictures. Now there are some websites that I want to tell you a little bit about where you can find some pictures, because I think these are really super important. But there's a couple free ones that we go to. There's Pexels, there's Pixabay. There's one that I just found out about called Unsplash. I'm not sure if you're familiar with it. I had never heard of it before. And then I was watching my virtual mentor, a guy by the name of Michael Hyatt, and he told me about it and it's great. It's unsplash.com. i'll put a link in here for you. Okay. Unsplash.com. and it's a free place. And you can just go in there and you can just type in a keyword. Okay? So you can type in like the word content. And when you type in the word content, it's gonna give you tons and tons and tons of pictures. You just click on it. Oh, that came up with content. You just, you just click on it and it's gonna give you all kinds of stuff. Okay. All kinds of great pictures. I'll give you an example. Okay, there's a bible. Let me see if I can. See if I can pull one down here. I don't know. I'm just gonna make this up. I don't know if it's gonna let me do this. Let me see if I can. I can't, no. I was gonna try to paste the picture in my, in my notes here, but I can't do it. But you can go to unsplash.com and just type in a keyword. It'll give you a ton of pictures and you can put that. So what you do is you create this. You do these three to five minute little Facebook lives. You get Rev.com, they'll put it into a blog post. And if you have a WordPress blog, that's great, it's even better. But you also need to treat your Facebook as if it is a blog. Treat your Facebook as if it is a blog. Why do you do that? Because what you're looking for is you're looking for engagement on your Facebook and you're looking for lots and lots and lots of people to be able to help you. So what you can do is when you do these little post, you go to Rev.com you put it on there, you stick it on Facebook, treats your Facebook like a blog. And then just go in and engage. And the more engagement you get, the more frequency that thing is going to be seen. And so this is all part of your content. Remember, if you're going to go from the pawn level to the king level, you've got to be intentional. So remember what we said so far. What we said so far is content is the key to unlocking the heart of your potential customers. That is key. Content is the key to unlocking the heart of your potential customers. And the reason why that's the case is because nothing establishes you as an expert more than content. We went back and said that you had to have the expert level content first. First thing you got to do is you have to have a giveaway. Then you have to have a 2500 word shareable article that outlines your system or your strategy. Okay? Then you're going to go on Facebook Live, you're going to teach that system in its entirety, and then you're going to break. If you have five points to that system, then every day you're going to teach a point in depth. Okay? Point one, day one, point two, day two, point three, day three, point four, day four, point five, day five. You're going to take that, chop it up, and now you're going to turn that into a four full blown miniseries that you can either sell or give away or maybe make a tripwire or whatever and be able to give that thing away. Then you're going to need to go and you need to book yourself on five to seven podcasts. You have to do that as an expert. Once you become an expert, now you become Google credible. Now that you've done that, now what you've got to do is you've got to be able to focus on one thing that you do incredibly well. What I do better than anything else that I do is coach online. So I'll coach online, I'll give you the content, and then what I'm going to do is I've got a repurpose, okay? I made a comment on somebody, Facebook Live the other day that the repurpose of content is the new purpose of content. You got that? Repurpose is the new purpose of content. That's what. That's what it is. Okay? So what we said is you've got to repurpose this. So I'm going to repurpose this. We're going to make it into a blog post. We'll turn it into Cliff Notes, and I'm going to find the Twitterable phrases. I just gave you another one. I don't know if you noticed. I'm going to find the Twitterable posts, okay? And we're going to put them on Instagram, we're going to put them on Facebook, we're going to put them on Twitter. And people need to begin sharing those. Let's draw people back to us then. Three to five times per week, I'm going to do three to five minute Facebook lives. And what I'm going to do is I'm going to focus on one succinct topic. Okay? I could, like if I was teaching, I could do an entire topic on nothing but blog you. Entire topic on nothing but Cliff Notes. I could do an entire topic on nothing but Twitterable quotes. I'm going to teach them. I keep it less than five minutes. Going to take that. I'm going to upload it to Rev.com for a dollar a minute for only five bucks. They're going to turn that into a blog post for me. I'm going to take that blog post, put it on my blog, but I'm also going to take that blog post and put it on Facebook. And you treat my Facebook like a blog. I'm going to go to unsplash.com I'm going to find a really cool picture that goes along with my blog. I'm going to put that on Facebook. Why? Because pictures get open more than anything else. Every time somebody engages them on my Facebook, I'm going to engage with them even if they Say, hey, what's up? I'm going to engage with them. Why? Because the more engagements, the more shares, the more likes and the more content that you replies that you put on there, the higher that you go in the Facebook algorithm and more and more people see it, you have to be able to do that. And I can take all of that from one main piece of content that I create. One main piece. So my situation, I'm just coaching and I'm going to turn that into seven or eight different types of pieces of content. Why? Because repurposing content is the new purpose of content. Okay, so you have to have a blog. Now, as you get a little more advanced, you're going to want to do a podcast. Okay? You're going to want to do a podcast. Now, podcasts, be careful because you have to be consistency. Remember beginning of our talk today, we said that consistency is the key to content. Okay? You got to know when, where, how, when and why. Okay, so you can do a podcast if you want to. Okay. If you do a podcast, I'd really recommend that this become an interview. There's multiple types of podcasts. Okay? You have the, the educational type interview or educational type podcast where you come on, you can just talk. You have the radio show type podcast where you come on. We have like a radio show, different segments. You have the interview style where it's you and an expert interviewing back and forth. Okay. And then you have a hybrid mixture of those. I would really recommend that if you have a podcast, that it become an interview style podcast. Why is that? Because interview style podcasts are the easiest ones to prepare for. All you got to do is book a guest, come up with five or six questions to ask that guest, and your job is done. And it puts all the onus back on the interviewer. But if you can interview them, guess what, you're going to tag them in your post and you're going to be able to siphon some of their followers over to you and they're going to be able to do the same thing from you over to them. But it allows you to have variety. Okay? It allows you to cover multiplicity of topics. You don't have to be an expert at every one of those topics. So it allows you to cover a multiplicity of topics. And also what you can do is you can actually pay for Cliff Notes when they're done and you can actually build a tribe based on their information. Okay, so if I was to be on your show and I was like, let's say teach the Give method. You could take that and you could hire somebody to create cliff notes of what was just said. And then you could put that on your blog. You can put that on your Facebook. You tag me in it, obviously, but you can put it on yours. And you're going to get all the credit for that. Hey, in this episode, Chad Thibodeau talks about the give method where he teaches you how to give all your stuff away and get paid handsomely for it. And in this, he had seven steps to the give method. Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, Step 4, Step 5, 6, 7. You list them out, put them on your blog, put them on Facebook. And the title of it is how to give all your stuff away and get paid for it. Okay, and then your subtitle would be my. My interview with business coach and launch strategies chat. Okay. Something like that. So because content is king. So you. There's different ways to be able to create content even if you're not a content creator. That is, to me, that's, that's incredibly important. But regardless of what you do, you have to remember one component of this. And I've sort of let this serve me well most of my life, whether I'm public speaking at churches, whether I'm doing stand up comed, whether I'm teaching you live on Facebook like this is, you have to remember that everything is about a show. Everybody say, show, baby, show. Everything's about a show. Nobody likes to come on here and be bored. I can always tell when I've done a really good job of putting on a show because I'll get 50, 60, 70, 80 watches live. And then when I'm not, when I'm just teaching really in depth like this, I get 6 to 20. Okay. Somewhere around that range. But everything's about a show. You got to put on a show. The reason is, is because if you can put on a show, it captures people, right? It captures people. So I was watching somebody the other day, Arne Ginske said, hey, any tips for. I'm going to be speaking at online. Any tips for me? And somebody said, yeah, bring your kid on stage with you. And I remember. And I thought that was really funny. I remember one Christmas Eve when I was a pastor, I was here in Arizona and it was Christmas Eve and I had a tradition with my family where we read a Christmas story and lit the Advent candles on Christmas Eve. My kids were really young and really cute. And Archer was 2. He's 5 now. Archer was 2 and Olivia was 4. And then Jada would have been 9, I think. And we're trying to read this, and all of a sudden, Archer, they're all on stage with me. Archer throws himself on the ground and is like kicking his hands and feet like this. Olivia is trying to blow out the baby Jesus Advent candle. Mommy's trying to read a poem. Daddy's trying to keep composure and trying to keep all these things together. The entire audience is in stitches. They didn't hear a word we said. All they know is they saw the show happening up on stage and they remembered all of that. Right? And I can't tell you, it endeared them to me so much. Well, the same thing is true here. You may notice in the background here, you may see my two little puppies over here, right? Why do I put my puppies in the shot now? I used to hide them. I used to put them in the garage and get out of here. But what I noticed was anytime a puppy would come through my little presentation, I'd get like 30 comments on it. Remember with Facebook, the more comments you get, the higher you go in the algorithm and the more people see it. So why wouldn't you do some things to get people talking? Okay. To get out there? I know a guy who does a podcast and he starts with a dad joke. He'll go in there and give some kind of cheesy dad joke. So remember, it's all about the show. No matter what you're doing, if you're doing Facebook Live, if you're teaching on a stage or whatever, you have to have some element of humor in there to be able to engage the audience because you want them commenting on it. Okay? And so there's a couple ways to do that. You could say, and I'm going to do it here. Okay? Hey, guys, I'll just do it. So you guys humor me, because I want you to see what happens. Hey, guys, if you're on Live today, I want you to give me your first name and where you're watching me from. Okay. Give me your first name and where you're watching me from. Everybody. I want everybody to do that. Just give me your first name and where you're watching me from. I want you to see what happens here. So give me your first name and where you're watching me from. There's a nine second delay between what I'm saying and what you're hearing. So we're going to wait a couple seconds here, but who are you and where are you watching from? So I'm Chad Thibodeau and I'M watching from Mesa, Arizona. Oh, I have no idea why that just did that. Mesa Az. There we go. Okay. Mesa, Arizona. Okay. So, Tim, who are you? So Tim is. Tim is watching from British Columbia, Canada. Welcome, Tim. So glad to have you here, buddy. Okay, Phil is watching from Wilmington, North Carolina. Welcome, Phil. So glad to have you here. Okay, now Tim and Phil and John is watching from Vegas. What's up, John? How you doing, buddy? Okay. Who else? Let's get one or two more. So, Tim, Phil, and John, here's what I want you to do. I just want you to see something. Just give me the name of your favorite dessert. Give me the name of your favorite dessert. Okay, if I could give you 20 bucks right now and you can go buy your favorite dessert. What are you eating right this moment? We have a Vegas, we have a Canada, we have a North Carolina. What are you eating right this moment? My favorite dessert is banana pudding. Okay. Banana pudding. What's up, Terry? So glad to have you here. Hey. We're doing a little social experiment. So I want to know who you are and where you're watching from. Okay. We're doing a little social. So Tim is watching cheesecake. Sharon is coming from Wisconsin. What's up, Sharon? I'm assuming you like some cheese curds. You guys like cheesecake? My favorite is banana pudding. What's your favorite dessert? Tim says cheesecake. Sharon says caramel. Yeah, anything caramel. John says turtle cheesecake. I love. I love it. I love it. I love it. Okay, so what you're seeing is you're seeing some engagement. And so what's going to happen is when I post this video in a little bit, because more and more of you guys begin commenting, the algorithm is going to go way up, and this is going to potentially broadcast to hundreds and hundreds more people. Why? Because Facebook says, hey, people are commenting. Okay? People are commenting. Therefore, this must be worth it. So what you want is you want to get your views and your comments equal. So at the end of the day, this will end up having. By tonight, this will end up having about 1100 people who have viewed at least 3 seconds of it. Okay? Every time you see a view, that means you saw at least three seconds. So it'll have a thousand people. So in an ideal world, I would have somewhere around 1000 engagements, likes, shares, comments, whatever. Now, I'm not going to have anywhere near a thousand, but in a perfect world, I would have that. Well, if I got really clever, if I got really clever and started putting engagement comments in there, or had you Guys commenting on everything that I was saying or hey, write this quote out and share it. Okay? What you're going to see quickly is that these engagements are going to begin adding up and when they add up, you're going to be able to be more effective. So let me just recap and then I'm going to be done for the today. But we're talking about getting you from the pawn level to the king level. When it comes to content, first and foremost, you have to be consistent. Okay? I do my training every Monday morning, 10am Arizona time. If I can't make it, I make sure I go on there and I post and let you know. That's why I'm doing it today. On Thursday, okay. I have, normally at 9 o' clock I have an interview with someone with an expert. Can't do it. So we put, hey, that's going to be happening tomorrow. Okay? So we can't do it. So I try to be very, very, very consistent with my stuff. What we then said is content is the key to unlocking your potential customer's heart. The reason is because nothing establishes you as an expert more than content. When they can read your stuff, they just assume you're an expert. That's why so many people go out and write books. People always ask me, chad, should I write a book? Heck yes, you should write a book. Well, why should I write a book? Nobody buys them. It doesn't matter. The fact that you can put author behind your title establishes you as an expert. If you can hold up a book and say, here's my book. People just think you're smart and that's a good thing. Okay, then we said you need to find one. Then we talked about the expert strategy. You can go back and watch that. The five things you got to do in order to establish yourself as an expert. The giveaway, the shareable article, the Facebook live, the four part or five part miniseries, and five to seven podcasts, you can go back and watch that training. And then we said once you establish yourself as an expert, then what you have to do is you have to find one way to share content and then you've got to be consistent. Now, in just a second, before we get off on here, some of you guys are wondering, how do I come up with content? I'm going to give you that in just a minute. Okay? But you need to find a way to share. What do you like doing? You like blogging, then blog. You like vlogging, then vlog. You like Facebook lighting, then Facebook live, like coaching Whatever you like doing, do it. Take one and do it and be consistent and then hire somebody to turn that piece of content into multiple strings of content. Blogs, Cliff notes. Three to five twitterable quotes, and then three to five times per week you need to be on for three to five minutes on Facebook Live teaching one point about something. Go to Rev.com, turn that into a blog post. Put it on your Facebook. Remember, treat your Facebook like a blog. Go to unsplash.com, put a picture on it, because pictures get open more. Put it on your WordPress blog, your ClickFunnel blog, whatever blog you got, stick it on there. Google Spiders will find it. Boom. You're standing in this world as far as expertise goes, will go drastically up and you'll be able to build a tribe and build followers and eventually you'll be able to make money. That's how you do it. Now let's talk real quick about what I think is an incredibly important part. And I'm sorry, guys, I'm only. I apologize. Jody says she likes creme brulee. Angie says she likes ice cream. Jody's watching from Phoenix from work. Desmond's on from Tallahassee. Pia's watching from Lyle, Illinois. I think I said that right. Angie's coming from Tampa. Love that. Let's check this other one. Magdalena says Kaboom is pretty good, too, for stock photos. I haven't seen Kaboom. Magdalena. I'll look at that. Magdalena is coming to us from Denman Island, British Columbia. Got a couple BC folks in the house. Okay, let's talk real quick about where this content should be coming from. This is super important. Okay? Let's take any industry, any industry that you're in, okay? What you want to do when it comes to content. Now, there are people who have way better social content strategies than I. I'm not an expert in social content strategy, but I am an expert in creating content. That's what I do. And here's. I'm just going to tell you what I do. Okay? So what I do when it comes time for, like, building this training, I ask myself five to 10 questions about what does my potential audience want to know about this particular topic? Okay, so today's content. So I grab my little yellow pad, okay? And I start writing down notes about questions. What does somebody want to know? And if I don't have questions, then what I'll do is I'll go to some kind of forum and I'll ask them, hey, guys, what are the top five things you want to know about creating content, I'll go into the Click Funnels room, or I'll go into other rooms that I'm in and I'll ask them, and people will start asking, will start telling me what they want to know. I'll take the top four or five, write them down, and then now I've got some questions. So in order to create content, you want to ask yourself, what are the five to 10 questions that your audience probably wants to know about your particular topic? Okay. Then you can answer some questions. How often are you committed to writing or blogging on those questions? What type of content are you going to create? A video? A blog? What are you going to create? And how long do you expect your content to be? Okay, so I told you one of your posts needs to be 2,500 words. But is that realistic? Can you do 2,500 words every time? I don't know. So what I try to do is, here's what I do. If I'm writing a blog, I try to be somewhere between 51250 words. If I'm writing a blog, if I'm writing a blog, if I'm doing a Facebook Live, just on the topic, I want to be three to five minutes, okay. If it's on more than one topic, okay. Like today's on more than one topic, I want to be 60 minutes or less. Okay. I want to be 60 minutes. Or if I feel like I'm an expert on something, I can teach for an hour, I'm going to teach for an hour. If not, 15 to 20 minutes is particularly fine. So you're going to ask yourself five to 10 questions. What would your audience want to know about this particular topic? Okay. Now you also can follow me along here. Like, if I'm writing on content, I didn't just create all this stuff out of thin air. Okay. What I did was I Googled it. Okay. Okay. Top content strategies. Okay. So I'm gonna Google my topic, okay. And I'm gonna see what the experts say. Okay. What, you know, what does a Michael Hyatt say on this? What is the Lewis House soundness? What is a Amy Porterfield sounds? The experts that I follow, what do they say about this? And I read it, okay? And then I ask myself, what are one or two things I can take out of that? I'd be able to transfer that to my particular audience where they would benefit. I don't want to plagiarize them. I don't want to steal all their stuff, But I can take and I can repurpose and I can adapt. Okay? And then what I'm going to do is I'm going to. After I've googled it and, you know, see what other people say about it, then what I'm going to do is I'm going to take those five to 10 questions, I'm going to make a list of five to 10 problems that your audience has. Okay? So if I have. Let's say that I'm teaching on nutrition, okay? I'm going to teach somebody. I want to teach them how to lose 10 pounds in the month of February. Okay, whatever. Then what I'm going to say is, I'm going to ask myself, what are some questions that people have around weight loss? Well, they probably want to know, you know, how to lose weight without starving. Without starving. Okay, how about, do I have to cut out all sugar? Okay, they probably want to know, do they need to exercise? Okay. They probably want to know, you know, red meat. What about red meat? And they probably want to know about vitamins. Okay? If I cut this out, you know, do I need to take supplements or whatever? I just made those up. Then what I'm going to do is I'm going to come here and I'm going to ask myself the question, what are the problems these folks have? Okay, around me? So how to lose weight without starvation? Okay, well, what's the problem they would have? Okay, that they would have? Well, one of their big issues is they're afraid that if they go on a diet, the problem is that they're going to be hungry all the time. So, perfect. Bam. There's a blog post. I could write a blog on how you can lose weight without starving yourself. And all I do is answer the problem that I created, okay? So I created the fact that they're probably thinking they're gonna be hungry all the time. Now I can just write a blog post on it. Are you with me? Or I can do a Facebook Live video on it, or I can do a coaching video on it. Or I can do Cliff Notes on it. Whatever I'm doing. I could just come up with five to ten questions. They come. Make a list of five to ten problems that they have and just simply answer their problem. Now, if you're doing blogs, this here I got from Michael Hyatt. I love this. Okay, so I'm just gonna read these. These are straight from him. He said, here are six prompts to get you started. Okay? So like, if you're teaching or coaching or doing a Facebook Live or doing a Blog. He says a time when you solve the big problems. Okay, so like if you're talking about health and nutrition and you're going to help somebody figure out how to lose weight without starving, ok, you can simply write about a time when you solve the big problem. Okay, Let me tell you about John. John was 32 pounds overweight and his biggest fear was that he wasn't going to be able to lose weight without starving himself and he was just going to be hungry all the time. And that hunger was actually going to cause him to make more bad decisions and he was going to end up gaining weight because he was going to eat more Twinkies. Whatever. Let me tell you about John and what I did with him. And a time when I solved that problem. That's a great way to create angle to take it another one is the best decision I ever made. So for instance, if I was writing about spending time with family, okay, I could say, hey, the best decision I ever made was a time when I took my kids, when I took them out of school and brought them to Disney World. Okay, the hardest decision you ever made. You know, I could write about the time when I had to fire a client I really liked. Okay, that would be a tough one, but a good one. More people would want to know that. Or a time when you made a huge mistake. This is another one. Let me tell you about this huge mistake that I made. I think I told many of you guys one of my most watched coaching videos of all time was when I talked about my. What's my $321 Uber ride? Okay, my $321 Uber ride. And I talk about this mistake that I made where I'm going to catch a flight and I'm supposed to. I always fly American. So I assuming I'm flying American, I get all the American gate. Come to find out I'm on the Frontier gate. I'm flying Frontier. So I take a train all the way to Frontier. By the time I got there, I had missed the flight. So I had to come all the way back. And it cost me $321 to get a one way flight from where I was to where I wanted to go, right? So I could talk about. Hey, let me talk to you about a time when I made a huge mistake, okay? Or I could. Or I talked with you guys about a turning point in my career. Number five would be a turning point in my career, okay? And I've told you guys a story about how back in August I only had $11 in my bank account. And I was like, like literally broke. And there was a point where I was just really frustrated and really stressed. And then I made a huge decision and I turned the corner in my business and I went from broke to making pretty decent money. So I could talk about that turning point or the best advice anyone ever G. Okay, so let me tell you about the best advice anyone ever gave me. And I could write about it. So those are the six things that Michael Hyatt said that you could write about. So if you're struggling coming up with content, just take those six prompts a time when you solve the big problem, the best decision you ever made, the hardest decision you ever made, a time when you made a huge mistake, a turning point in your career, and the best advice anyone ever gave you. Piece of cake. Just take those six prompts, take the question that you've already asked, that your potential audience is already asking, marry it with the problem that you created, and then take the approach of one of those six things. And now you have the foundation for an incredible content strategy. Okay? So I think that how to done for you and step by step is where it's at, okay? Anytime you can do how to done for you step by step, those are the best ways to do it, okay? That's basically all I ever do is how to done for you step by step, okay? So make sure your content falls on those three things. If you don't have those and you can just simply do Q and A. If you have a choice. Tried just do Q and A. I know somebody that's going to blog and all she does is answer those questions. She'll send out her hey guys, Monday morning mentor and what do you want to talk about today? Just send me your questions and she just goes on and answers questions and that's what she does. Okay? Solve a problem. That always helps. Make a list. Those are always really good ways, you know, 12 ways to lose weight, 14 ways to, you know, 14 things to consider when hiring a life coach. Whatever, okay? So you can, you get the idea, right? You get the idea of how you are going to create content. So remember, guys, content is king, okay? Content is king. If you're gonna move from pawn to king, you have to have a consistent strategy. So if you're just tuning in, I'm gonna wrap, I'm gonna recap, I'm wrap up, and you're gonna get the entire talk in the next three minutes. Here's what we said. We said that content is the key to unlocking Your customer's heart. Content is the key to unlocking your customers heart. Why? Because nothing establishes you as an expert more than incredible content. However, consistency is the key to creating incredible content. You have to be consistent. Same day, same time, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. If you publish something, you need to stick to it. Be consistent, okay? Be, be consistent. And then we said that repurpose is the new purpose for content. Okay? Don't just create content for the sake of it. Create content with the understanding that you're going to repurpose that into five or seven different types of forms. We'll talk about it in just a moment. We said though that when it comes to time for content, you've got to establish yourself as an expert. And we're not going to. We didn't teach on this today, but you can go back and watch other teachings. We said you got to come up with a giveaway, something you can give away in exchange for that ethical bribe. In exchange for their email, we said you have to come up with 2500 word article. We said that you have got to then teach on Facebook Live that 2500 word article. Then if it's four or five points, you need every day you need to teach a different point and go in depth on it. Then take those videos, chop them up, and now you have a free video series that you can give away or create a tripwire or even a $97 course for. You have that based upon that particular content. Once you get the mini series, then you need to go book yourself on podcast and you need to provide those folks some questions to ask you. You go on there, you teach your system and you siphon their followers into your email database by giving away one of your free pieces of content. Once you have that, now you are an expert. Now what you got to do is you got to move into consistency mode. And this consistency mode is what takes you from pawn to king. Here it is. What we said is you create one form of content that you love to give each and every week. In my world, it's Facebook Live. I teach like this. It's my favorite thing to do. Then what I do is I subcontract, I hire Paul and to take my stuff and turn it into Cliff Notes. And now we've hired his mom to take my stuff and turn it into a blog. Okay, so I'm gonna have Cliff Notes and a blog based on this one particular, one particular thing. And then what we said was then I need to find my twittable tweeter, tweetable, twitterable, twitterable, tweetable, whatever quotes. Okay, okay. For instance, so a few that I've had today is content is the key to unlocking your customer's heart. One, one was nothing establishes you as an expert. More content. Another one was that repurpose is the new purpose for creating content. Okay, that was one. There was a few more in there, but we come up with those, then we'll put them on Instagram, we're going to put them on Twitter. People be able to share those. Then we said that three to five times per week you're going to do a three to five minute Facebook Live, okay, three to five times per week into a three to five minute Facebook Live on one particular topic. Keep it five minutes. Unless the reason is because once you get that done, you're going to send that to Rev.com they're going to turn that into a full blown blog post for you. You take that blog post you put on your Facebook, you go to unsplash.com and you put a picture on that. And then every time somebody comments on it, you go in and you reply to it. I learned this trick from my friend Colby K. And what happens is the more engagement you get on that Facebook post, more people see that now your stuff is beginning to be seen to the world. You also put that on a WordPress or a ClickFunnels blog site and you have that. Once you get that, then you can begin doing a podcast. And I really believe in podcasts. I actually believe in video podcasts, just like I'm doing now. But make them fun, make them exciting. And I recommend you doing them interview style. That way you don't have to come up with new content every week. All you gotta do is book the guest and let their content reign supreme. When you're done with that, then what you need to do is you need to take that create cliff notes out of it, create a particular headline and turn into a blog post. So if you were having me on and I was to teach on the give method, okay, what you would do is the headline would be how you know, seven ways to give all your stuff away and get paid for it. Okay, that would be the main headline that would capture people attention. The sub headline would be my interview with business coach and launch Strategist Chat Thibodeau on how to Give method has transformed his business. You know, and then all you're gonna do is take the Cliff Notes that I talked on. You're gonna put them in a Blog post, and now you're gonna get credit for all of that content. Google's going to reward you for all that content, and you didn't come up with a piece of it. I came up with all of it. Are you following me? That's how you do an effective podcast and effective video cast is by doing it that way. So literally, guys, it's a great thing to do. Then what we said was, if you're struggling trying to come up with the content, what do I teach on? What do I coach on? What we said is you're going to come up with five to 10 questions that your audience might want to know about your particular topic. Okay? Five, ten questions, okay? And then you're gonna Google. You're gonna Google that particular topic, and you're gonna see what the experts say about it. Then what you're gonna do is you're gonna come up with five to 10 problems that your audience has based upon your topic, and then all you're gonna do is marry. You just simply gonna marry the question they may have with the problem they may have. And you're gonna solve it. Okay? You're gonna solve it. Okay. So we, in my business, the big question everybody has is how do I start? Right? Too much to do. Okay, okay. That's their problem, is that they're overwhelmed, they're burnt out, and they're broke. So I take those two things and I marry them and I get tons of content that I can create. And then what we said was, Michael Hyatt came up with these six prompts to get you started. And here they are. Prompt number one is, you need to talk about a time when you solve the big problem. Or number two, what's the best decision you have ever made? And this is all regarding those topics. Three, the hardest decision you ever made. Four, a time when you made a huge mistake. Five, a turning point in your career. Six, the best advice anyone ever gave you. Just write about those six things as it relates with the question they have and the problem they have. Marry those two together with those six prompts, and I promise you that you have got an incredible start to content. Don't forget, step by step done for you and how to is where it's at. That's what people want to read. If you have none of that zilch, just simply go to a click Funnels room or to a room where lots of people list and just simply ask a question. They're going to give you feedback and then go right about. Literally. Hey, guys, what do you want to know about creating content. Hey, guys, I've got a show coming up and I'm struggling a little bit coming up with what you want to know about content. What do you want to know about content? And I'll just tell you. And you take what they wrote and you go right about. You answer the problems. If you're at the point where you don't know any of that, then folks, you're just not an expert, okay? You're not an expert and you shouldn't be writing about. Okay? And so. But you're not there. You're not there. God made us terrible at almost everything, but he made us great at one or two things. Those one or two things. Therein lies your expertise. Build a business around it. Answer questions around that, and you'll have no problem going from pawn to a king. Well, hey, I'm going to see if there's any questions here. Magdalena says you can go to kaboompics.com. thank you, Magdalena. I'm going to put that in the show notes of this, which I think is awesome. Let's go here. P.S. says great tips. Thank you, Angie. I want some ice cream Now. Angie says ice cream. Let's see. Oh, we're still talking about all of our stuff here. Oh, don't forget. Remember what we said. Some of you guys want to know why people are talking about caramel and cheesecake and ice cream and whatever. So what I said is in your Facebook lives, on the three to five minute ones, not on your teaching ones, but on your three to five minute ones. Put in there some of the people people can engage with you on. And what's going to happen is the more engagement you get, the higher you're going to go on Facebook. So I always ask a question, hey, guys, when you come on, let me know who you are, where you're coming from, okay? And what that does is that gives me lots of engagement on my Facebook. And Facebook is going to reward me. And more and more people are going to see that you could ask a question like, hey, guys, in fact, I was going to ask this question over here. I forgot. Hey, guys, tell me, what's the number one struggle that you have when it comes to creating content? That would be a great question. It's a problem question that they can answer. But once again, it's just going to simply help get engagement. Because after your Facebook post, what you can do is you can go in there and you can answer every single one of those. Literally every one of those. And it's going to look like you have lots of engagement and Facebook is going to shoot you through the moon and tons and tons more people are going to see your stuff. Well guys, hey, it is 1108. That is my time for today. I don't see any questions on here and so I'm not going to take time to answer those.
