The 7 Step System to Launching your Business Service Product

Chad Thibodeaux walks through POINTER, a seven-step system for launching a business service product. The framework covers building prototypes, creating offers, internal launches, nurturing leads, and establishing yourself as an expert to grow and monetize online.
All right, everybody. Hey, welcome to the training today. I want to talk with you today about the seven step system to launching your business service product way before you're ready and how to get paid for it. I'm Chad Thibodeau. I'm a business coach and launch strategist. And you know, one of the biggest questions I get asked is, can you help me launch my business? Now, when I first became a business coach, I was unprepared for how often I was going to be asked this question. You know it, you know, it came from a recognizable entrepreneur who's a veteran in the online space, from a newly divorced, middle aged lady with a Facebook direct message. It came from a hall of fame DJ guy who asked me after an interview from a rookie in the information space, or as my 6 year old son likes to say, from a noob. You know, it happens literally every day. You know, I'm not alone in this. Many successful business coaches are telling me that they get asked this question, how can I launch my business? Several times each week. And I'm wondering if you're curious about that as well. Now, I almost say, I almost always say yes, but I'm always surprised when they want to hire me because there literally are hundreds if not thousands of online courses detailing this process step by step. I mean, can't they just pay a few hundred bucks, download some videos, complete a checklist and be on their way to making hundreds of thousands of dollars with their idea? Well, you see, that's where the problem lives because either in an attempt to impress, give their unique twist on launching, many authors paralyze us with overwhelm instead of freeing us with clarity. Now here's a little conspiracy theory. Alert, Warning, warning, warning. Okay, some people think that these authors are being intentionally vague. You know, create the need to purchase additional products, hire them to coach you through the missing links. Yeah, no, I'm sure that would never happen. Right, well, let's start with the obvious. Here's what we know. We believe, you and I believe that one successful launch can positively alter the course of our future. Satisfaction, authority, credibility, profitability, all of those will increase not only for us, but for our clients as well. That's what we believe. If we could just simply launch our product. Therefore, in order to achieve this, what we do is we find ourselves attempting processes that if we were honest with ourselves, we, we're not fully prepared for and we humbly seek the strategic wisdom of a coach. So we go looking. We'll put in Facebook rooms. Hey, I'm looking for a coach or I'm looking for somebody to help me launch this particular product. Why? Because we're experts at what we do and marketing is our second language. However, after working with and coaching over 1600 entrepreneurs in the last 18 months, here's what I've noticed. I've noticed that there is a glaring yet innocent misstep that is costing entrepreneurs thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of wasted hours. You guys want to know what that misstep is? Well, before I tell you the misstep, here's what I'm going to ask. If you're watching this live today, I'm going to ask that you share this video because there are other entrepreneurs in your circle of influence that I really believe could benefit from this seven step training today. So go ahead and take just a moment and share that video. That would be greatly, greatly appreciated. If you're watching alive, please put your comments in the chat room. At the end of my teaching today, I'll be happy to get to as many of those questions as or comments as possible. So are you ready to know the misstep? Are you ready to know the misstep that I believe after working with 1600 entrepreneurs in the past 18 months, this glaring, innocent misstep that's costing you thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars and probably hundreds of wasted hours and months? Well, here it is. So many of us are trying to launch a polished product instead of building a prototype. We're trying to launch a polished product instead of building a prototype. Now, a prototype can be defined as a model on which something is based or formed.
Okay?
A prototype isn't the final or completed product, but what a prototype does is it allows someone to envision what the final product will be like. A prototype can be built quickly. A prototype can be built easily. A prototype can then be tested and tweaked and approved. And when you launch a product in prototype mode, you expand your options. First, early adopters can purchase the prototype in beta mode. And I love beta mode. It's my new favorite word. I launch all of my coaching in beta mode because I haven't got it all figured out yet. And it affords me the grace from my clients to be able to actually mess up sometimes. And they give me the grace because they bought it in beta mode. Okay, but so it allows me to get paid for my product and it allows me to collect valuable data to avoid creating something that no one wants to purchase. A huge misstep that so many of us make is we Put all this time, energy, effort into building a product that nobody wants to buy, and we send it to market and nobody buys. We're completely shocked. Well, building a prototype of your product alleviates that. Now consider this. Developing a prototype removes the paralysis of perfection and, and allows you to launch quickly. So did you get that? How many of us have sat on our hands waiting to launch? Because we're waiting till everything gets perfect and then we wonder, oh, is this going to work? Oh, am I going to make money on it? Oh, is it? You know, and so we just worry ourselves to death. And day after day and month after month and year after year goes by without you launching your product. And then one day you just get sick of it. You launch it and it doesn't do anything, and you're completely surprised. Well, to alleviate this, I'm going to help you put together a prototype. So I've put together a seven step pointer system, a seven step pointer system to help you launch a prototype and launch it quickly. So let's jump right in. Okay. Pointer is an acronym. It starts with P, and that P is product and process. Product and process. So if you plan on making money online, let's just state the obvious here. You have to have a product to sell, right? So nobody's ever. Well, I can't say nobody. It's very unlikely that you're going to make money online if you don't have a product to sell. Okay, now, this may sound like the understatement of the century, but consider a recent survey that I did with 100 digital marketers in my tribe.
Okay.
We went to the CF Design Academy. I interviewed 100 of you, and what I found, 100 of our digital marketers, 63 of the 100 did not say that with me, did not have a specific product to sell, and 18 of which possessed a product, felt they were not in a position to sell it. That's 81 out of 100 folks. That's 81% of the people that we surveyed did not either have a product or did not feel like they could sell the product that they did have. Okay, that's a problem. Now, it's interesting because being a Click Funnel Top 30 designer, I get the privilege so many times of working with so many of you and building your funnel. One of the first conversations I ever had with somebody in the coaching space was someone who was fed up with click funnels, and they went into the major click funnels Facebook group and they were just basically cussing click funnels out at how terrible of A product it was. So I thought, I'm going to help. So I sent this person a DM and said, what seems to be the problem? She said, what seems to be the problem is Click Funnels sucks. I said, oh, yeah? Well, what's wrong with Click Funnels? She goes, I'm not making any money. I said, okay, well, what's your product? She says, I don't have a product. I said, okay, well, how did you expect to make money? She says, I don't know. Somebody just told me that if I got Click Funnels, I'd make money online. So I bought Click Funnels and she's paying $2.97 a month, and I'm not making any money. I'm like, folks, you have to have a product.
Okay?
Now, it's easy for marketers to sell houses and cars and supplements and DVDs because these items are tangible and the potential customer can see it, can feel it, can experience the products prior to purchasing. However, in our digital space, products such as coaching or online courses or ebooks, these are intangible. And many times consumers misunderstand or underestimate their valuable. So your job as an entrepreneur when you go to launch a product is to make the intangible tangible. Here's how you do that. First, you need to name your product, and I'm talking about the prototype. You don't have your product done yet. You just have the idea of your product. How do you get it from a polished product to a prototype where you can sell it? Well, first you have to name it. You have to give your product or your service a name. Research tells us that consumers are more likely to purchase your digital offerings when you've labeled it with a specific name. Therefore, you know, don't just generically refer to your offerings as, well, I do coaching or I do funnel design or I do Facebook ads. No, you actually need to give it an actionable name. For this particular. For instance, I'm going to tell you about my launch 90x program. Okay, so I have a coaching program. It's webinar coaching. But I don't just call it webinar coaching. I call it launch 90X, your step by step guide to launching a converting webinar in 90 days or less. So what you have to know is this is a beta product.
Okay?
When I first got paid for this product, I didn't. All I had was an idea. But I knew that I was never going to get paid for webinar coaching. So I had to give my product a name and and that name was Launch idx. Your step by step guide to launching a converting webinar in 90 days or less. Now, you can't physically see either webinar coaching or launch 90x, but by giving it an actionable title feels that you're getting something for your investment. And the passive title leaves you wanting. So you have to name your product. Second, you have to write a brief summary of your product. Okay, just write a brief one or two sentence description of the product and this will increase value in the mind of your potential consumer. Now, this description should offer clarity and answer the question, what is it? And why do I need it? Okay, it should answer the questions what is it? And why do I need it? Now, here's a description that we used in Launch90X webinar coaching. Here's our description. Launch90X is a 12 week live coaching program led by business coach and master launch strategist Chad Thibodeau for business owners who are committed to generating leads and increasing revenues using live and automated webinars. So I wrote a brief summary that answered the question, what is it and why do I need it? So you have to name your product, you have to write a brief summary. Third thing with the product is you have to craft the expected outcome. Okay, what type of transformation can you expect in if you purchase the product? Now, the answer to this question is the difference between mediocre financial results and results that can take your business to the next level. If your product can truly deliver solid and verifiable results, then state the expected outcome in a simple yet clear manner that builds hope and inspires optimism. Okay, why? Because prospective clients will anticipate the release of your prototype, anxiously stand in line to purchase. We see this happen with Apple all the time. Okay, they will come out with a, you know, and they will tell you the expected outcome. Here's our prototype, here's our expected outcome. Then they finally release it and people are standing in line waiting to buy it. That's what will happen when you can state the expected outcome. So let's go back to our launch 90x example. Okay, here's the expected outcome that we use when we launched the Prototype of for Launch9EX. Launch9EX. Coaching will fast track you in creating your entire webinar funnel system that generates a massive amount of leads, potential clients and sales. You will build your authority and credibility with a professionally crafted and polished webinar script and learn the art of pitching without manipulation. So see, those are the expected outcomes. And if you're, you know, if you were trying to, you know, sell a product or. Okay, if you're trying to sell a product, you think a webinar is the way to do it. Well, then being able to fast track, okay, create your webinar, generate massive amount of leads, get clients, make sales, build your authority and credibility. You know, craft a polished webinar script, learn the art of pitching without manipulation. Those are things that you would want. Now, notice with my expected outcome, I didn't say how much money they would make, because more times than not, money is a fluid outcome. You don't know if it's going to be effective or not. If I say, hey, this program can make you a million dollars, well, for some people, a million dollars would be way too far out of reach and they won't believe you. Others will say, a million bucks. I did that with an email launch last week. So don't use dollar amounts as the expected outcome. Use tangible results.
Okay?
And so, like in the webinar thing, I talked about fast tracking. I talked about creating leads and getting clients and making sales, okay?
Okay?
Those are generic terms, but still define an expected outcome. So when you launch your prototype, you have to have p. You have to create a product and a process. Now, O. This is our pointer. O. Everything rises and falls on your irresistible offer, okay? Your funnels and ads are only as good as the offer they promote. When you launch a prototype of your product, you have to create an offer so irresistible that your audience simply cannot say no. A lot of times when people tell me that their Facebook ads aren't working or their funnel isn't working, okay? And they're going to go redo the ads and they're gonna go redo the funnel, I say stop, okay? Stop. When you were launching a product or prototype and it is not selling, it has nothing to do with your ads and nothing to do with your funnel as 100% to do with your offer, okay? So let's talk about an irresistible offer, okay? First, it has to solve a problem and satisfy needs, okay? Your prototypical product must solve a problem that people would and are willing to pay to have solved. Does that make sense? Your prototypical product must solve a problem, okay? People are willing to pay to have solved. Now, why is that important? The reason why it's important is because we live in a do it yourself world, okay? We live in a do it yourself world. We're going to try to do things ourselves. So your, Your product or your prototype has got to solve a problem that most of us give up on doing it Ourselves.
Okay?
Then it has to stack the value.
Okay.
Your product should either help your customers make or save money or solve an emotional pain.
Okay?
People typically will pay somewhere between 10 to 20% of a perceived value of a product. Therefore, if they think a product is valued at a thousand bucks, they're willing to pay 100 to $200 for that. You have to stack the value and show the true worth. Now this is a big, big piece of the equation that so many of us miss.
Okay?
So many of us believe that if our product is valued at a thousand dollars, we sell our product at $1,000. And what research tells us is people are typically willing to pay the somewhere between 10 and 20% of the perceived value. Third thing with your offer is you have to start high and come low. Start high and come low. This is a strategy called price anchoring. This is an age old sales tactic that assists the potential buyer in understanding the real value of your product by comparing it with a similar high priced product. Okay. You have to start high and come lower. Realtors do this all the time, okay? When they're going to go sell your house, they don't start with an appraisal of your home. What do they do? They go and they get comps. They look at other homes around you, okay, and they, they take the top three or top four highest priced comps and they try to put your offer somewhere in the middle, right? So what they do is they start high and then they come low. Now if your house is worth a half a million dollars and you're going to go compare yourself to homes worth a quarter million dollars on, okay, you're never going to be successful. So you have to, you have to price anchor. Okay? So when you're pitching your product, okay, and you're trying to help people understand the value, what you can do is you can compare your product or your service or your prototype with other higher priced items in the industry and then reduce your price to where it feels comfortable and affordable for you. Does that make sense? So when I sell my Tribe 100 coaching program, okay, I had it appraised at $25,000. So when I start my pricing for my Tribe 100, I'll start at 25,000, okay? And then I'll tell them, well, you know, when I looked at, you know, this person's and this person, this person, they sell it between somewhere between 10,000 and 15,000. So now I'm coming down, but I'm still adding the value, I'm still letting them see the perceived value and when I'm done, I actually sell my product for 12 payments of $297. So they're like, holy heck, I'm getting a $25,000 product. And, and I psychologically brought them down. I brought them down the stair step to the point where now $297 a month seems incredibly affordable. Way more affordable than $25,000. And psychologically we just believe we can afford it and we go and we pay for it. That's why we start high, come low, using the age old sales tactic of price anchoring. Then you also need social proof, okay? Your offer has got to have social proof. Nothing shows more value of your product than when you show real life case studies, you know, so if you're launching your product, you may consider offering your services to a few people in exchange for a video and written testimony. And we're going to talk a little bit, a lot about that later. But nothing shows the value of your product more than when it actually works.
Okay?
If your product works, you can sell it. Selling in our industry is so simple. I mean literally, it's so simple. It's create a product that people need, introduce that product to them, show them that it works, and give them a way to buy it literally is that simple. You have to have social proof, then you have to remove and reduce the risk, okay? For your offer, you have to remove and reduce the risk. Every purchase is going to involve some risk. We know that. You can't eliminate it entirely, but you can reverse the perception of the risk. And so I would consider offering a free trial or some type of money back guarantee or some type of coaching, something that can remove and reduce the risk. And then with your offer, then finally you have to add urgency, okay? Adding urgency to your offer ultimately compels the potential customer to buy right now instead of putting it off. That's what we're trying to do. We're trying to put urgency on them instead of putting it off. My kids do this with me all the time. Like we're in the grocery store and they have perfected the art of urgency. When my son wants to buy some Reese peanut butter cups, okay, and he wants to put a little urgency in me, he sort of freaks out. And basically what he's saying is, listen, dad, you're going to buy this right now or I'm going to freak out. You're not going to put this off until later, dad, right? Okay, now that's a humorous joke. I actually don't buy stuff for my kids like that. But Placing a deadline or bonus or reduced rate or removing the offer in its entirety. These are standard urgency practices. But here's what you have to know. Do not under any circumstances use false scarcity or false urgency. This is unethical and 100% of the time should be avoided. Now listen to me. If people in your circle are using false scarcity and false urgency, you need to unfollow and unsubscribe from those ethical leaders immediately. Don't buy another one of those products. Why? Because false scarcity and false urgency is psychological manipulation that they're using you to buy a product that probably is not worthy of your dollars. You need to unsubscribe from those people immediately. And if you're doing it, I really highly recommend you to stop. So when it comes time to launching your prototype and you need to, you need a p. Our seven step pointer system, you need to have a product and a process. Oh, you need to have an offer, an offer that's irresistible. And then I. You need to have an internal launch. Now, what's an internal launch? Launching internally is the most accurate way to understand how interested people are. If you can't sell to people that you know, you're never going to be able to sell to strangers, okay, you need to remember, you need to write that down. You need to tweet me on that, okay? If you cannot sell your product to people that you know, you will never be able to sell to strangers. So before investing money into paid traffic, you need to pitch your offer to people who are on your already on your existing email list or already in your personal Facebook profile, or already follow you on professional social media pages.
Okay?
This is your warmest audience. Now here's how you, here's how you launch internally. First, you need to invite them to be a beta tester.
Okay?
You guys need to remember that word, beta.
Okay?
Beta is the best way to launch a product.
Okay?
Invite your list to be a part of a select few of people that are going to have the opportunity to test your product for a significant reduction of cost.
Okay?
And as an incentive for getting a massive discount, you're going to require some things from them. You're going to require them to providing you feedback. You're going to require that.
That.
Well, I'll get to that in a minute. But you're going to require some feedback. Okay, now, but you have to be open minded. Not all feedback is good feedback. So you have to be, you know, you have to discern the good from the bad. But you're Going to ask them for feedback, Then you're going to ask them for a testimony.
Okay?
So invite them to be a beta tester, then ask them for a testimony. Now, gaining testimonies from those who have used the product. Validate the product in the eyes of your potential cold audience. Okay, so you want to gather video and written testimonies, and you want to be sure to screenshot any social media posts that positively discuss your product. Dana Derricks, the author of the book Dream 100. I love this book and I love Dana.
Okay?
He wrote this book. Dana Derricks does this part better than anyone that I know. Okay? When you get this book, he's going to mail it to you and it's going to come with like, five pages of testimonials of people who've gotten great insight. When you open this book, it's full of testimonials.
Okay?
He understands the art of testimony better than anyone that I know. Okay. He does really well. He gets people like Russell Brunson to endorse him.
Okay.
And then on his page, he's got literally hundreds of testimonies. Why? Because there's power in testimonies. When you're going to launch a prototype that's not polished yet, you may want to consider giving it away for free to two to three people simply to gather video and written testimonials and then gather any screenshots and media posts that will positively. That positively discuss your product. And I'm telling you, the validation in the eyes of your audience will tenfold. You may consider then offer offering a commission to help your beta testers sell.
Okay?
Typically, those who beta test your product, these are the best joint venture partners you can have, okay? And if. If they loved your product and they gained great value from your product and you offered them somewhere between 25 and 50% commission, if they were willing to promote your product to their inner circle, bam, they're going to get it way out there. And I'm telling you, the testimonials that will come from that will be significant. Okay? So p. You have to have a product. Oh. You have to have an offer that's irresistible. I. You have to internally launch now. N. You have to nurture leads and tweak your offer. You have to nurture leads and tweak your offer. So after offering your prototype to your internal audience, you need to keep track of those who are interested but did not purchase.
Okay.
And you need to nurture those leads to make more sales. But more importantly, you need to find out why they did not purchase. You may even want to consider giving them the product for a significantly reduced rate or even further if they will tell you why they didn't purchase in the first place. The reason is is because you can use that data of why they didn't purchase. You can use that data to manipulate things and to nurture your product and to tweak your offer.
Okay.
Many times we gather more information from those who didn't purchase from them then from those who did. So you need to listen carefully and tweak your offer accordingly. Then what you need to do is you need to go to your beta testers, okay? And you need to create. You need to create anonymous surveys where they can give you truthful feedback on your product without having to put their name on it. Why? Because you want honest feedback. Even if it is terrible and even if it hurts, you want honest feedback. So allow people to give you feedback anonymously and they'll give you the most truthful and most honest results. T. So p is you need to have a product or prototype and a product process. Oh, you need to have an offer that's irresistible. I. You need to have an internal launch. N you need to nurture leads and then tweak your offer. Now. T. Now this is probably the most important of all of them. Actually, second most. T tribuilding. This could simply be one of the most important tasks of launching your business or launching your prototype. Okay, now here's my definition of tribe building. My definition of tribe building is getting a group of raving fans who follow you, learn from you, trust you, buy from you, and endorse you to the masses. Did you get that? Okay, I want you to write this down. Okay, my definition of tribe building is getting a group. So getting a group of raving fans who follow you, learn from you, trust you, buy from you, and endorse you. So what I want to do is I want to dissect that definition, those six steps, and I want to that. I believe the dissection of that definition actually gives us the strategy for building your tribe. So let's start with that. So remember, once again, the definition is getting a group of raving fans who follow you, learn from you, trust you, buy from you, and endorse you to the masses. So let's start with get. Okay, you have to get. You need to ask your followers who bring you energy and significance to join your tribe. Okay, now notice that I said ask your followers who bring you energy and significance to join your tribe. You don't just want everybody in your tribe only Those perfect clients who bring you energy and significance. Now, there's something magical about belonging. This is why you need to ask them to join your tribe. There's something magical about belonging. You need to create content so specifically helpful to those people that it attracts only your perfect clients and repels everyone else. The size of your list, if you do this, ultimately doesn't matter if your tribe is full of perfect clients. You'd rather have a tribe of 100 people who are your perfect clients rather than a thousand people who are not your perfect clients.
Okay?
You need to start organically, give value and ask them to join. You get them, then you follow.
Okay?
The next step is follow. A sure sign that you're beginning to create credibility is when people begin to follow you.
Okay?
Consistent burst of content relevant to the type of people you're attracting will help pique the curiosity of onlookers. And so the more omnipresent you can be in the marketplace. Now, let me tell you what I mean by omnipresent, okay? Omnipresent. I first learned that word as a pastor, and it was a description that we gave to God where we said that he was omnipresent. He was all places, all the time. Well, obviously, you're not God. And so when we use that word omnipresent in the marketplace, I think it's diluted. Here's what I mean by omnipresent. I just mean that you need to show up consistently. You need to show up consistently, okay? People who buy from me, and when I ask them, hey, how'd you hear about me? You know what they consistently tell me? Well, I always see you. You're everywhere, right? So the more omnipresent that you are in the marketplace, the larger your followers will become. Now, you have to know that I'm really not everywhere, okay? I'm really only Facebook Live. I'm really only in my design academy. I'm really only in the click funnels room. That's it. Those three places. I don't. I don't even really have a YouTube channel, okay? I don't even. I don't have a lot of things that people say you have to have. But what I am is I'm consistent. I'm consistently on Facebook Live offering value. So this is what I mean by omnipresent. Be consistent with what you offer. Always be out there, okay? Now, when you're omnipresent in the marketplace, the more you consistent you are, the larger your followers will become. The key now is to move these followers from simply outsiders into fans, okay? Now, you have to know that when they just follow you, they still view you as a moderate risk. And they're probably not going to purchase, okay? Because you're still a moderate risk. So you need to get them. So get, follow. Third is learn, okay? Now, I'm not going to spend a ton of time on this today. I'll do it at another time. But there's. In the psychological world, there's what we call the teacher student relationship. You need to establish a teacher student relationship with your followers. Now, this profound psychological relationship establishes your authority and in the marketplace and your followers. When you've established your authority in the marketplace, they will naturally submit themselves to your teaching, okay? If you go to college and, you know, it's, you know, you're going to, you know, whatever, Psych 101, your first day of, you know, school, you're a freshman and you walk into that lecture hall and the old man with the long beard stands up to the podium and he begins teaching. I've never seen a freshman raise their hand and say, excuse me, Mr. PhD, why is it that you're teaching and I'm not? They don't do that. What they do is when that person has the platform, and you have to hear this. When they have a platform, they are considered an expert. That's what makes them an expert, is that they have a platform.
Okay?
You hope you didn't miss that.
Okay?
What we deem as people being experts is if they have a platform, okay? So when you have a platform and then you can give the goods, you establish a teacher student relationship, and your followers will naturally submit to your teaching. And now once they pedestal you as an expert, it'll take you a while to get there. And they submit themselves as the learner, and then they begin to apply what you teach. They are rapidly beginning to trust you, and their purchase risk is diminishing. Did you get that? So first, when it comes time to building a tribe, you have to get them, okay? You have to start organically, give value, ask them to join. Then they have to. Then you have to. Then they follow you, okay? They follow you because you are omnipresent, okay? And they just see you everywhere and they want to learn more from you. And then they learn from you, okay? This is you establishing the teacher student relationship with them. And their purchase risk is beginning to diminish, okay? But you still are viewed as a risk. Fourth, now they trust you. Trust is the key to any relationship. It doesn't matter whether it's Husband, wife, boyfriend, girlfriend, friendship, mother, son, it doesn't matter. Trust is the key to any relationship. And in the online space, when your learners begin getting small results with your teaching, they then will assume they'll always get results if they listen to you. So once that happens, you're no longer going to need to pursue them as they will begin pursuing you. This is when the shift. This massive shift begins to happen. When someone trusts you, they pursue you, not the other way around. Does that make sense? Okay, so as I have been in this space now, I. I've been in the space for three and a half years. I've been coaching like this for a little bit more than a year, okay? Actually, yesterday was my one year that I went live with my very first teaching.
Okay?
When I first started teaching, I got very few inquiries. Now, one year later, because I'm omnipresent and I've gotten a tribe. People follow me. People learn from me. People are beginning to trust me. Now it is. Wow. It is very uncommon not to get four or five or six inquiries of my services every single day. Because what happens is, is when they begin to trust you, you no longer have to go hunting. You now become the hunted, okay? You'll no longer have to pursue your clients. They'll begin pursuing you. And the perceived risk factor of them purchasing your product now has completely evaporated, and they take the next step, which is buy, okay? Buy. You've wooed them, you've wowed them. Now it's time to win them, okay? And if you have a product or service, even if it's in the prototype phase, now is the time to make the offer, okay? Now's the time to make your offer, okay? Mentally, their. Their purchase has shifted from a payment to an investment.
Okay?
So you got a prototype, okay? That prototype is out there. You get. You've given them an irresistible offer, okay? You've been launched that internally. You've. You've nurtured that product and you've tweaked your particular offer, okay? Now, you've built a tribe. Once you. Once you've built a tribe of people who. That you've gotten, they follow you, they learn you. They trust you. Now you can literally ask them to buy a product, Product, even a polished product from you. Why? Because they will look at giving you money no longer as payment, but as an investment. E. Okay. Or not. E. We'll get to E in a minute, okay? So now the next phase, or the final phase of building a tribe building is endorse, okay? Is endorse if they get results, this tribe will not only purchase your products, but they will become your largest volunteer sales force and they will promote you to their inner circles and your name will rapidly popularize. You will gain massive traction within your niche. And as my client and good friend Rachel Jackson says, you will become a micro celebrity, okay? Within your niche.
Okay?
Now, once this tribe endorses you. Watch. Once this tribe endorses you, their next step is to purchase more products, even your high ticket items, okay? These purchases will stem more from your relationship with them than even the results that they're going to get. Did you get that? Okay. Once. Once they are in your tribe and they begin endorsing you, when they spend money with you, it's an investment, but they're actually going to spend money with you more because of the relationship that they have with you than even the results they're going to get from you. I hope you understand that. So Rachel Peterson, one of, one of my heroes in this particular space, she just ran an event called SMU Live, okay? And I don't know how many people were there. I don't think there were a ton of people, but there was. She had a really good. She had. She had a decent amount of people there. But these people that were at her SMU Live, okay, they were her tribe. She got them. They follow her, they learn from her, they trust her, they buy from her and they endorse her so much to the fact that they're willing to spend a ton of money and their own, you know, expenses on airline and food and hotel to go listen to her teach, okay? And then after they've invested that money, they're even willing to invest more money into her, not even because they think that she's going to get them results, but because they love her. And you'll begin seeing the post her shift. See, when, when I first ran, you know, heard of Rachel, I made a couple posts about Rachel because I knew of her. Once I met her, I made some posts because I thought it was cool that I met her. But now that I trust her, I make personal posts, I make personality posts. I'm not posting about her product, I'm posting about her herself. And that is the ultimate endorsement that you want from your tribe. When your tribe begins posting about your character, then not only will they buy more products from you, but it will. It will fast track people who are beginning to follow you. They will learn from you and trust you and buy from you much more rapidly. When someone on your inner circle endorses not your product, but. But endorses you as a person. And that's what happens when these purchases stem from your relationship, not just the results that you get them. Okay, So, P. You have to have a product or a process prototype, okay? Oh, you have to have an offer that's irresistible. I. You have to have an internal launch. N. You have to nurture your try. Or you have to nurture your leads and you have to tweak your offer. Okay? You already even tweak your product.
Okay.
E. Okay, here we go. Or T. You have to build a tribe, okay? Tribe building is huge now. E. E. You have to emerge as an expert, okay? I remember as a pastor, people coming to me for biblical advice. The fact was that many people who were seeking my expertise in the Bible probably knew a lot more about this ancient literature than I did.
Okay?
However, I possessed, I possessed. I had the platform. I had the platform, okay? I had the podium. And in our online space, people are hopeful. I use that word realistically, not generously. People are hopeful to find a guide or coach to assist them in ascending the ladder of success. They want to find somebody who can help get them to success. And when they find the right person, or when they find the right product or when they find the right curriculum, typically money follows. And the influencers who are successful in the digital space are the ones who create their own platform by being consistently visible or omnipresent and offering the most amount of practical help. I remember speaking with Michelle Villalobos. And first time I had chatted with her, she was telling me about how when she first got into the space, she wanted to speak on stages. And so her aspirations was just to speak on some of these very large stages. And to her disappointment, nobody was inviting her. And she got down. And then one day, she looked at herself in the mirror and said, dang it, why am I waiting for someone to invite me to speak on their platform when I can build my own platform? And she built her own platform. People began coming to hear her speak, and her business skyrocketed. So sometimes to emerge as an expert and to prove that you're the person to take your potential client from where they are to where they want to go. You need to create your own platform by consistently providing value with no strings attached.
Okay?
This is how you become an expert in your field. You build your own platform. You create it, you build it. You lay it out there. You emerge as an expert. You have a tribe of people, but now you're trying to build that tribe. So you have to emerge as an expert and build your own platform. Here's how you do it. What makes one an expert, and why will people listen? First is education. The more you know, the more you can teach. An expert should be in constant state of learning and improving their craft so they can solve the needs of their audience. So you can have formal education. You can take online courses, you can read books, you can listen to podcasts, you can gain certifications, you can go to masterminds. Or all of these help broaden your horizon. You need to teach what you know, and that will build faith in your target audience. E. Experience. Okay, so first one as emergency. Emerging as an expert is you have to have education, then you have to have experience. Formal jobs. I'm sorry, did I just say that already?
Okay.
Formal jobs, businesses, hobbies, associations, all these combine to build your resume. So if you are experienced in the role that you're selling, I promise you that you are better positioned to get results for your clients. So the more experienced you are with what it is you're teaching, okay, the more positioned you are to actually get results from your clients. And so you need to list these relevant experiences and reference them often. Then the next part of establishing the fact that you're an expert is not only have an education, not only have an experience, but you need endorsements. Do experts say you're an expert? If so, these endorsements will boost your credibility in the eyes of your clients. Remember, we're talking about building a platform, so you need to list any and all endorsements, especially if the people giving you endorsements are actually credible in your space. But if they're not, an endorsement from someone that nobody recognizes is still better than an endorsement, than no endorsement at all. Okay? So if you've not been endorsed by an expert, what I always coach my people to do is invite yourself on people's podcasts. Go find somebody who has a podcast with a similar audience that you're trying to attract and invite yourself on their podcast or write a guest blog for them.
Okay?
And the easiest way to get on their podcast or get on their blog is simply help their audience deliver the goods, and I promise you, they will give you an endorsement. The final way of establishing yourself as expert is Internet validation.
Okay?
When somebody googles you, what do they find? If they can find and watch your videos, if they can read your articles, if they can listen to your podcast, chances are they're much more likely to consider you an expert who may be able to help them.
Okay?
So the following point that we're going to talk about here. The R is going to help increase your popularity online and and ensure that you're validated as an expert when someone types your name in to Google, okay? And that final thing is called reciprocity. Reciprocity. Now listen to me. Besides building a tribe, I truly believe this is the most important thing that you can do in your business, okay? R. Reciprocity. There's a psychologist by the name of Lalee Wolf. He says reciprocity is the human need and tendency to want to give something back when something is received. This need is strongest when the gift is given without expectation of return.
Okay?
Now, I've been teaching reciprocity a long time, not because I studied in some psychological book, but because I studied in the Bible.
Okay?
Jesus said In Luke, chapter 6, verse 38, he says, Give and it will be given unto you. Pressed down, shaken together and running over. That's what reciprocity is. It's the law of the harvest. Give and it will be given unto you. Pressed down, shaken together and running over. Therefore, if you're going to build a tribe of raving fans who follow you know, you like you, trust me, only buy from you, then there's not a more rapid way of building these fans than building reciprocity through generosity. So here's what you have to do to build reciprocity through generosity. Give your best stuff away for free. Okay, listen to me. Give it away for free. So many of us give pablum and then we hide our good stuff and nobody ever can see your valid, can see your credibility. Give your best stuff away for free. When you give your best content away for free, it leaves a potential client saying, wow, if that's their free stuff, I can only imagine what their paid stuff looks like, right? And then they will reciprocate and buy your product. So give your best stuff away for free. Give away the what. Sell the how. You need to give away the what. Sell the how. Now, what do I mean by that? When you need to solve a problem and somebody shows you what to do, okay, you find the utmost amount of clarity and you are incredibly grateful for that education. However, there's still the need to learn how to do what you just learned.
Okay?
You're going to give away the what of your business with the utmost of generosity, and they will reciprocate by buying the how. You can give away the what in emails, you can give away the what in Facebook lives, you can give away the what in webinars, you can give the way the what in Your long form sales letter, you can give away the what that truly helps people. And then they're going to need to know how to do that and, and they will come and buy from you. You need to give without strings attached.
Okay?
In our marketing society, we have a tendency to dabble with generosity by giving a lead magnet.
Okay?
But I never liked that because that's giving to get.
Okay?
I'm going to give you this free little thing if you give me your email. And you and I both know that that free little thing sucked.
Okay?
It helped nobody and it didn't help them.
Okay?
But yet you get an email out of it. That's not what I'm talking about.
Okay?
What I've discovered is the more satisfied that I make my clients, the more reciprocity it builds with them. And they voluntarily ask to be part of my group coaching or my high level trainings.
Okay?
Give without any strings attached.
Okay.
I'm going to be doing about an hour and 15 minute training today. Giving without a string attached. I come on every single Monday. I. I teach typically every single Thursday. I go on podcasts, I write articles, I build funnels. I correct people's funnels. I try to give as much as I can without any string attached. Why? Because if I give, it will be given unto me, pressed down, shaken together and running over. So I've started what's called the give method. And I'm not going to teach you the give method today. That's another training for another day. But what I will tell you is since I've been giving all my stuff away, Holy frickin heck. I have. I have worked with over 1600 people and generated multiple six figures for my business. I felt four people get to the 2 comma club. I think we've now done nearly 50 funnels that have hit six figures. Why we've done that because we've given our best stuff away for free. We give away the what we sell, the how we give without any strings attached. And finally, we over deliver. Give your audience more than they anticipated and they'll reciprocate by not only buying your products, but also referring you and your products to their entire following. You have to over deliver.
Okay.
This week I found myself in a situation where I gave, but I did not over deliver. And this person got really upset at me. And, and I don't blame this person for getting upset at me because I under delivered. I did not over deliver. So I had to make it right. I had to over deliver. I actually gave this person their money back and gave them the product. Why? Because I want to be known as someone who over delivers. So you have to give your audience more than they anticipated and they'll reciprocate by not only buying your product. So in conclusion, you need to stop waiting to perfect your product before you you launch. In fact, you don't even need a product. All you need is a prototype. A prototype is just something that was intangible that you made tangible.
Okay?
You need to create a prototype. Create a product given a name, attach it to an irresistible offer, get it to the point where people would be stupid to say no to your offer. Launch it internally first, prove its value and its worth. Nurture your prototype and make necessary tweaks to help its effectiveness. Then build a tribe. Build a tribe of people who love you and who learn from you and who follow you and who ultimately will buy from you and endorse you to the masses. Then once you do that, emerge as an expert so everyone can see who you are. Build your own platform, give value, and people will reciprocate by purchasing your prototype. I promise you that will help. So hopefully that teaching was helpful and beneficial to you. If you need anything, please feel free to reach out to me. You can always DM me on Facebook if you would like. Or you can be part of our CF Design academy. So, hey, I want to jump in here. And I know that we gave really, really long teachings today. And the reason is, is I told you that this is part of something that I'm beginning to teach in a few weeks. I've got what's coming out. I have my brand new high ticket mastery program coming out and what I do with the high ticket masteries, I reverse the value ladder. So I teach you how to start at the top. I teach you how to start by building a $10,000 to $25,000 product first and then creating an upsell, then creating a core product, then creating a tripwire, and eventually creating a lead magnet. And one of the things I'm going to begin doing is helping you establish yourself as an expert.
Okay?
And so what I just did was I tell people to write a 2500 word article. So what I just taught you was my 2500 word article. Okay? So what I'll do is I'll tell them to write a 2500 word article, then go on Facebook live and teach it in its entirety and ignore the crowd. So you may notice that I ignored everybody who was who was on the feed today. Not because I'm being rude, but because I know that 95% of people who are going to watch me will not watch me live. They're going to watch me online. So I ignore the crowd. Now why do I do that? Because I'm going to be downloading this, chopping it up, and this actually will become a masterclass that I can, I can either give away or sell at a later date. Now what you may have noticed was I gave you seven points today. Seven of them. So what I will be doing over the next seven days is every day I'm going to go online, I'm going to go Facebook Live and I'm going to teach just like I did. But I'm only going to tackle one of those points and I'm going to extrapolate the content. So the first point was, you know, product and process. I have a lot to say about product and process, a lot more to say about that than what I put in that little article. So what I'll do tomorrow is I'm going to come on and teach the P, and then the next day I'll teach the O, and the next day I'll teach the I, the next day I'll teach the N, and then, et cetera. And then what I'll end up with is I will have a seven part video series that I'll be able to sell as a mini course. But actually, I don't sell it. I actually show you how to put that in your back office and make it a value add.
Okay.
A value multiplier as I like to call it, to your high ticket offer.
Okay?
So I'll be showing you how to do that. And once again, I do it just like I do. I go on Facebook Live. Now why do I go on Facebook Live and do it? I go on Facebook Live and do it because I know I have people watching me and I'm not going to stop. I'm not going to be like, can we do that over? No, no, no. I'm just going to flow and I'm going to go, okay. Also, you give me energy. When people are live, I get energy, okay? So that's why I tell you to do it live. And so I'll tell you how to do that. Then what I'm going to do is I will take the 2500 word article that I wrote. I'll take the teaching that I just did. That'll become a masterclass. I'll teach the seven points that I'm going to teach in their entirety. That will become a video course for me.
But.
But then Also what I'll be able to do is now I have something. If I wanted to go on a podcast, I can reach out to you and say, hey, I want to be on your podcast. And I have a seven step system that I can teach on your podcast. I can also take the pointer system and just create a checklist out of it. Okay, so do these seven things in order to build, in order to launch business and it becomes a checklist. So now I have a lead magnet. So I have multiple bonuses, multiple content. And then what I can do is I can have all this transcribed, get it on blogs, get it on Facebook, get on social media posts, etc. And the, the Internet will begin validating me as an expert. So this is part of the strategy that I teach in my high ticket mastery course coming out here in a few weeks. If you are interested in that, I would love, love, love to have you. Now here's the thing on that, okay? So you can get it two ways. You can get two ways. First, you can pay $5,000. That's what my beta courses. It's $5,000 for the high ticket mastery. And what I do, it's, I think it's a seven to nine week training. I'm still wrestling with whether I want to shorter, a little longer. And what we're going to do is during that time, I'm going to teach you how to create a $10,000 and $25,000 product. I'm going to help you elevate as an expert so people can look at you and validate you. I'm going to show you how to trade a little time for money so you can garner a little bit higher, a little bit higher, higher wage. I'm going to teach you how to create a marketing system, but you're actually going to build a homepage funnel during that training. It's an incredible training. I can't wait to do it. And it costs $5,000. That's my, that's my prototype, my beta launch for it. So you can pay five grand if you want and I'd love to have you do that. And I can give you a link and you can buy it or you can become a member of my tribe 100 program.
Okay.
My tribe 100 program, my high end mastermind that I charge that I was, it was valued at $25,000 and we decided to offer it at half of that at $12,500. And then we said, you know what, what we're going to do is we're actually going to offer it at $7200, okay? Or we'll finance it for 12 payments of $597. But as I began getting to study my audience a little bit, and I love to give, what we decided to do is as long as Tribe 100 is in beta mode, and I have no idea why it's still in beta mode, we've now got five, five full groups, okay. But I'd like to be generous. What we said is we'll actually make it $3,600. It's an entire year of coaching, okay? An entire year of coaching and we'll make it. We'll keep it in beta mode and you're going to get entire year for 12 payments of $297. So it's 3600 bucks. I finance it for you for free at 12 payments of $297. And it is, let me tell you, it is, in my opinion, the best training on the market.
Okay?
Not because of my teaching, although I think my teaching is good, but because of the people in the tribe 100. They are incredible, okay? And they help each other, they serve each other. And we have seen people get massive results. In fact, we're batting a thousand. Every person who's come in tribe 100 loves tribe 100. And as we've asked if they would pay that much money, again, 100 of them say absolutely. And so here's how you can get my high ticket mastery for free if you join my Tribe 100 program for 12 payments of 297. Okay? You get high ticket mastery for free. But not only do you get high ticket mastery for free, you also get my launch 90x webinar coaching for free, which is pretty cool. I you also get access to my launch fuel coaching academy, which is all the archive of all my trainings and teachings. I interviewed 24, 24 experts. All their interviews are in there. I've got some resources that I use to build my business. Those are in there. I've got all how to videos. There's a ton of stuff in there. Plus I just added I just built 13 funnels for click funnels during the design a thon and during the mother funnel. And I've taken all 13 of those funnels, my best 13 funnels that I have, and I put them in launch fuel academy. And you have access to absolutely free. Now, I normally sell those between 147 and 997 each. And there's 13 of them in there. You do the math.
Okay.
If they were all 100 bucks it's 1300 bucks. But I have a cardinality funnel in there that we charge 997 for. It's in there, okay? It's for free. It's in there. And it's a full blown website, full blown funnel, full blown blog, full blown everything. It's in there for free, okay? I don't know how long I'm gonna keep it in there, but it is in there right now. You can get all that for free by joining my tribe 100 for 12 payments of 297. I really highly recommend you do that. So now let me give you a little urgency and a little scarcity. That's ethical, okay? We are, we have team A, team B, team C, team D already full, okay? So what I do is I put you in pods of eight, okay? Eight people so you can work together. You build relationships for an entire year. And I teach you live. I teach that small pod live. Okay? We just launched team E and we have five people in team E right now. One person floundering, one person figuring out whether they're gonna get it or not. So I think this person gonna come in. So that means we'll have six spots. I have two empty spots, okay? Two empty spots, okay? And once they're in there once, then we close down team E and then we'll open up team F. Okay? Now, team F can't be open until four or five people purchase, so you have to get on the waiting list. You have to purchase and we'll have to wait till four or five people get in there before we open up team F. So I highly recommend you to jump on board and get involved in tribe 100 today. I promise you it's going to take your business to the next level.
Okay?
So I give all kinds of great teachings in their motivation, inspiration, you get voxer access to me, okay? So just like you're in my high ticket mastermind, you get walkie talkie access to me. You can get a hold of me anytime you want. You get lifetime access to, to my masterminds. You can come to my mastermind no matter where I am in the world. You get to, you get those absolutely, you know, you get those absolutely free. And as long as you're in Tribe 100, any product that I ever create, you get 100% free, okay? That's the incentive that I give my beta testers. So if you want in, I got those two spots left. You better get in. And I highly recommend you get in today. Now. Right now, Team E, we teach Thursdays at 12:30 Pacific. Okay. 12:30 Pacific on Thursdays. Right now, that may change, but right now it's 1230 Pacific. It's when we do our live coaching. You get 42 live coaching calls a year.
Okay?
And I just. I take you through and I help you build and grow and launch your entire business.
Okay?
And anyone in it will tell you, and I encourage you to reach out to anybody in it. If you want some names, let me know. I'll give you names.
Okay?
Reach out to anybody in it. They will tell you it's one of the best investments that they've ever made for the business. And I highly encourage you to do that. I've only got two spots left. I love to fill both of those today. Then we'll put you on a waiting list until I get four of them sold, and then we'll open up Team F. Okay? But jump on board today. We would love, love to have you. Let's see what you guys are saying.
Okay.
Let's see what you guys said. Holy smokes. Tons of you guys on today. Brett says, good stuff, brother. And says, yep, Ann is a wonderful coach as well. Dave says, are you writing books related to what you're doing? We'll see, buddy. David, just. It's life. So it works for anything, not just what we're doing here. Giselle says, analysis, paralysis. Absolutely. What's up, George? Wendy coming in from California. From Kansas City. Carlos from California. Sabrina. What's up, Sabrina? No questions or comments. Eddie says I have to be able to afford it. Yes, you do, darling.
Okay.
Find your first 297. We'll help you figure out how to. How to do it, okay? I have one person who drives Lyft, okay? And that's how they afford. They drive Lyft until they get 300 bucks, okay? So it takes them a couple nights, but they drive Lyft one weekend a month just so they could. Just so they can afford it. What's that, Myron? The legend. Myron Golden. The legend is in the house. Good. See you, buddy. Who else? Who else? FOSS is probably their affiliate. Promise that. Of course, Foz. I'm totally gonna blame it on the affiliate. Lisa's in the house. Let's see. No comments, no questions. Let's try the other one. Nobody in my launch fuel. 1. Okay, well, I was going to answer some questions for you guys today, but if you don't have any, that just means I did a spectacular job of teaching. But, hey, I have this if you want it.
Okay?
If you want this. What I just taught you. If you would like my 2500 word article on what I just taught, just simply reach out to me and I will send it to you in an email.
Okay?
Carlos says I missed the D of the seven steps. Well, there's not. There's not a D, Carlos. It's pointer. P, O, I, N, T, E, R. Can I repeat the seven steps? Anagram. I sure can. So P. I can't. I don't have my notes on. I'll just do it from memory. So P is you have to start. Remember, we're learning how to build a prototype. So you have to have a prototype, a product or process.
Okay.
Oh, you have to have an offer that's irresistible. I. You have to do an irresistible launch.
Okay.
Or, excuse me, an internal launch. You have to start internally. Start with who you know already. Okay? If you can't sell to your friends and your family, you won't be able to sell to anybody. N, you need to be able to nurture your leads and then tweak your product and tweak your offer until you get it in.
Okay?
T, you need to build a tribe.
Okay?
Tribe building. E, you have to emerge as an expert. And R, you have to gain. You have to build reciprocity. Reciprocity, okay? Given. It should be given unto you. Pressed down, shaken together, running over. I like to. I like the illustration. I give a reciprocity, and I'm going to teach on this in a few days. I'll teach it in its entirety. What I love to teach with reciprocity is if you were to, you know, go to a restaurant and there were two sets of doors, okay. And there was a person right behind me, and they were to open the door and I was to go and I was to let them in, and there was another set of doors right in front of them. Chances are they're going to open the door and then invite me to go in. Why? Because they. They feel psychologically obligated to do for me what I did for them. That's the biblical process. Okay. Given. It should be given unto you. Pressed down, shaken together and running over. And so in the psychological world. Excuse me, in the online world, people feel psychologically obligated. If you help them and give them tons of value, they feel psychologically obligated to buy your stuff. So if you're in the health and wellness industry, okay, and you're helping them lose weight or you're helping them feel better about themselves, you're helping them get into a pair of clothes that they've always wanted to. When, when you have something to sell, they feel psychologically obligated to buy it because you help them. You help them with something that they needed help with and you did it for free.
Okay?
So that's what we do. So in our industry is we help people okay with the what of our business and they reciprocate by buying the how.
Okay.
So hope that helps you, Carlos. So if you guys want that 2500 word article I did put it together, just send me a direct message. I've already gotten a couple of them from you. I hear my direct message pinging and I'll be happy to be happy to give that to you. So hey everybody watching on my personal page want to welcome you guys and thank you guys on my professional page. Thank you so much also everybody in the design academy we have a brand new folks in the design academy we have a brand new internship getting ready to open up. Can't wait to tell you about that.
