A message from Dr. Mok of Allure Vein Center

Dr. Charles Mok explains that venous insufficiency, caused by faulty valves, underlies varicose veins and gets worse without treatment. He's urging past patients to return for procedures before year-end to use their insurance deductibles before they reset.

Hi, I'm Dr. Charles Moak with Allure Vein center, and we've had a great year treating patients with venous insufficiency. Venous insufficiency is the condition that leads to varicose veins. So somebody comes with varicose veins, they're having some symptoms. There's an underlying condition called venous insufficiency that causes it. It's where the valves aren't working properly, and it's something that doesn't get better on its own. You know, people have tried different things to sort of make it say not progress, but it just naturally progresses over time. And it recently came to my attention that although we treated thousands of patients for this condition, they don't have their venous insufficiency anymore. There's some of you that have came in for consultation and, you know, didn't really move forward. And again, this is a disease that is not going away. So we want to give you an opportunity to come back in. We have some expedited treatments to get things done before the end of the year. That way, you know, if you're. If you already use up your deductible, we can get this finished before the New Year's. So it's an opportunity for you now to get in and get this thing, get this t taken care of. Because again, venous insufficie is a chronic disease. The varicose veins are not going away. This kind of marches forward, gets worse over time. There's no better time to get this done. Thank you.
