Dr. Charles Mok explains that Botox, fillers, and lasers can make you look 2 to 3 years younger and slow visible aging, but won't reverse decades of age. Allure Medical uses Visia skin analysis to track how treatments change your appearance over time.

We're having groups of people that are thinking, well, I'm gonna, I'm gonna try really hard to slow down the appearance of aging. And the next step is slow down, actually slowing down aging. How can I slow down aging? And when we look at things like Botox and fillers and medical grade skin care lasers that we do on the cosmetic side, we can meaningfully show that your skin age or your appearance age has gotten younger. One year later. This happens like consistently now. Does it go back all the way to 10, 20 years younger? It really doesn't. But what we can do is take somebody who's, let's say somebody's a 55 year old woman and skin looks a little rough. She hasn't done much yet. We do an automated analysis called Visia, the skin that looks at the skin and it predicts the age and maybe her skin looks a couple years older. Well, we do some interventions and a year later she looks maybe two or three years younger. And it can't even get four, five, six, seven years younger. Doesn't go much more than that anyway, maybe keep the clock there so she'll continue to age but at a slower rate.
