A short YouTube segment (by Dr. Charles Mok) explaining what to expect from laser hair removal: it may not be immediate/permanent, sessions can be uncomfortable but manageable with cooling/ice packs, and treatments often take substantial time so full-body sessions should be staged. Speaker gives practical time estimates (hip-to-ankle ~3 hours; armpits/chin/bikini/nipple/groin ~1–2 hours).

When you're seeing, you know, something at a very low price, you got to ask yourself, are we just basically plucking the hairs out with laser? Are we really removing the hairs permanently does take some time. That's the downside, is that you have to lay there for a while. It is does get a little uncomfortable. So typically we can use cooling or ice packs to manage it. People can tolerate without jumping or needing pain medicine, but it's a little uncomfortable. It does take a little bit of time. If you want to do your whole body, probably should do in stages, just because the amount of hours you lay there. Typically if a woman was doing, say, her hip bones to her ankles, you could do that in a day. It takes about three hours, maybe, maybe a little bit more. But the full body might not be practical. Armpits and the chin bikini, maybe around the nipples, the groin. That would be something that you could do an hour or two, maybe less than that. But to do full legs is taking some time.
